Love is my favorite thing in the world. The grand gestures, the butterflies, the happily ever after. I live for it all. The problem? My love life is a total disaster. No one ever measures up to my three best friends—Storm, Zayne, and Julius. They’re perfect in every way . . . except for the tiny detail that they don’t see me as anything more than a friend.
When an invitation to a Valentine’s Day themed matchmaking show lands in my email inbox, I think, Why not put my heart out there? Sign me up. Filming my video feels like a dream until I accidentally mention my fantasies about masked men and a little spice in the bedroom.
Fast forward to the big day, and I’m ready to meet my match. However, when I arrive, I’m not greeted by one man . . . but three. All masked. All confident. All dangerously familiar. As the night unfolds, these men teach me something I’ve never let myself it’s okay to want what I want.
This Valentine’s Day, my love life might finally stop being a disaster.
And sometimes the happily ever after you’ve been chasing is right in front of you.
3.3 stars. Hot but full of missed opportunities for some good relationship development. The moments were there, it’s just long enough to have at least a couple of them, but they got passed over in favor of the characters’ internal agonizing.
I revived an ARC for this and first time reading both of these authors.
The writing is well done and makes me want to read more from both of these authors especially the Masked Men Series. The spice woah the spice so well done and hot! Mellie and her men *fans self*. Love the plot of her being able to finally live out her fantasies and the way her men did it. I'm always here for a good friends to lovers and add in why choose and mm and I'm definitely here for it.
Wowsers, for a quick read this sure had a lot of … action.
This masked men why choose novella does not mess around - Mellie is keen to try some more than vanilla play time, which she lets slip in an interview for a reality TV show where she hopes to find someone who can live up to her fantasy.
So when she arrives for the date at an abandoned resort and a masked man tells her to run …. Well, she runs, but can’t wait to get caught …. But she gets more than she bargained for with THREE masked strangers having their way with her (fully consented to. She agrees to everything. No blurred lines here. Good, clean, filthy fun)
So when she goes home to her three besties / housemates / super hot guys she has crushed on her entire life …. She wants more. But what will her boys think of her if they ever discover the truth?
This novella punches well above its weight!
Includes all our fave tropes and blurs the lines with some triggers…. Masked Men Anonymous partner (s) Why choose Valentine’s Day Self acceptance Fantasy role play (k1nky fantasy, not elf & dragons fantasy) Primal play (non violent, chase only) Hidden identity Group activities (sharing is caring)
Potential triggers: Unprotected smexy time (cnc on this part only) Anonymous smexy time Fear play (darkness, hiding)
MMFM
Multi POV 1st Person
When i say quick read, this was a one sitting about one hour read for me.
Spice levels are high. Like, HIGH. Like, three eggplants and a peach, in multiple combinations.
No lie, the author/mom notes in front of these make me laugh. I kinda love the dichotomy of a mom-side saying "absolutely don't do this thing" and an author-side saying "yeah, absolutely get your freak on with this thing". Anyway. Be safe and don't do the thing, but totally feel free to read about the thing.
So. Mellie accidentally bares her soul during a taped interview for a matchmaking show and one of her BFFs happens to work at the place running said show. So the interview lands in his inbox and HECK YEAH his BFF wants him and their other best friends to do very naughty things to her. Okay, maybe she didn't actually say she wanted THEM to do those naughty things, but they could infer what she meant.
Now Storm, Zayne, and Julius are planning on giving Mellie the absolute BEST V-Day surprise - all her accidentally revealed fantasies come to life. Of course, they can't let her know it's them behind the masks and none are super keen on keeping this secret, but they'll cross that bridge when they come to it.
One abandoned resort, a few sexy games of chase, a whole lot of heat, and a foursome that is going to find a way make things work no matter what!
Mellie loves love, but no-one in her life has ever measured up to her 3 best friends. Zayne, Storm and Julius have set such impossible standards. She is keen to expand her sexual boundaries, which she accidentally lets slip in her audition for a reality TV dating show. When she shows up for the matchmaking date, she is surprised by not one, but three masked men. Over the extremely hot night, they teach her that it's okay to want what she wants. I loved this super spicy Valentine’s Day themed read! I breezed through it so fast, not wanting to put it down, and HAVING to know what happened next. Jaye has such a brilliant way of building each character so differently and making you fall for each of them for their differences.

Masked men. Primal play. Why choose. Friends to lovers. It had the bones of something feral and it was a fun time but I can’t lie— like most novellas, it fell a little short for me. The relationship development opportunities for these characters could have made for something so much more. Instead it kind of skimmed the surface and rushed through what could’ve been something really good.
Still, if you're in the mood for something quick, spicy and devoid of anything substantial, you’ll probably like it.
What happens when you love love so hard your entire life unravels, and you end up legging it outta heartbreak town with your three ridiculously hot best friends? Apparently, you black out the memory of signing up for a LOVE ISLAND MEETS SAW kinda dating show until they email you and go: “Congrats, you’re in!” And instead of running for the hills? You show up, overshare everything, and confess you’ve got a monster crush on all your besties and a thing for sexy anonymous masked men.
At that moment, I paused, raised my hand, and screamed into the void: “OH HEYOOO, IT’S ME—RYN—WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR THIS SHOW!?” Masked men? Poly tension? Valentine’s chaos in an abandoned ‘resort’ (yes, it’s that kinda chaos)? I was IN.
The writing? Unfiltered, chaotic good, like Jaye Pratt dumped glitter and chaos in a blender and hit “max speed.” I laughed, I screamed, I re-read spicy scenes with squinty eyes and a hand over my mouth. Imagine getting chased by pink-glow masked men and instead of running, you’re like… “Yesss, take me against the wall.”
We’ve got: 💋 Poly goodness galore 💥 Swords are crossing, emotions are high, and pants are flying 🔥 Possessiveness, confessionals, and Valentine’s-themed filth that made me sweat
All wrapped up in 140 pages of pure spicy serotonin.
Final thoughts? You don’t pick up You’re Ours Now for a quiet night in—you pick it up when you want chaos, smut, and to seriously question why masked men in pastel aesthetics aren’t hunting you down because that’s what you want 10/10 would scream into a camera for love again.
Wow, more spice and with best friends who were all too scared to say they all wanted more because they thought it would ruin their friendship.
When you think you are going for a second callback for a dating show and end up in a remote rundown motel. You don’t expect your fantasies to come to life.
Zayne, Julius and Storm.
My pick is Storm, he has loved Maloney since they were 5 and he asked her to marry him.
Tropes - MMFM, masked men, best friends, asked to marry at age 5, friends to lovers, kinks, Valentine’s Day, childhood friends, spicy scenes, Gilmore girls, dating show, worshipped like a goddess, touch her and die
Triggers - masked men, cable ties, rundown motel, being chased, dating show, choking, primal play, dark and depraved sex, sexually owned but still have power, fucked like a cheap toy, taken against a wall, 2 is better than 1,
Friends to Lovers is such a great trope. I know it isn't as dramatic as some of the others, and I do believe friends can just be friends, but, man it is such a great foundation for more when that is what both (or in this case all four) want. The value of friendship over s€x is a beautiful piece of respect... but once these men let go... they let go. And sigh all the dreamy sighs. Similar to Are You Scared this isn't dark, so if you are looking for mask play and a bit of primal, but nothing too wild, this is a fun series to explore.
Why choose, primal play, best friends to lovers? Soo good. Mellie, had a non existent love life, she had 3 male best friends. She signed up for a “dating show” to try and find love. When one of her best friends Julian works for them sees her audition tape he tell his other 2 friends that they need to do something to help her out. Will they risk losing their best friend or will they gain a 4th in their trio
This was a very kinky take on Valentine’s Day. I liked how you seen how much the guys cared about her and that they struggled with the fact they lied originally to get her. I also love the introduction of Mellies den so you can see other unconvential relationships as I think this will be the base of the other books in the series
I really liked this one. I went it to it, looking for spicy, and I definitely got that. I liked Millie, but it was a little weird that she didn't even question it when she figured out it was Storm, Zayne, and Julius behind the masks. The boys were just great, period. You could feel the love they had for each other.

This book was interesting but really short. I guess you can can call it short but sweet well more like short but spicy.
○ MMMF ○ Besties to Lovers ○ A LOT OF Spice ○ Short Story
Mellie, Storm, Julius and Zayne are the best types of friends to have but of course what would it be like to turn that friendship into a relationship? Their chemistry is off the chains but the boys should have talked to her beforehand because it could have turned out completely different than it did.
You’re Ours Now is the fourth book in the Masked Men series. It’s a fast paced why choose read between Mellie and her three best friends (male). Being based around Valentine’s Day it was the perfect spicy happily ever after read!!
3 masked men hunting the girl they've always wanted but didn't want to ruin their friendship. This was a Valentine's day novella full of spice and making fantasies come alive.
Holy hotness this book was everything I needed and more. Where can I get three best friends that will do anything to bring my deepest fantasy to life!!! The chemistry between these four characters...before and after the masks come off...cannot be described.
I am already obsessed with Samantha Barratt but now I am obsessed with Jaye Pratt. If you want a LOT of spice in your life before Valentines day this is your book. It's short, sweet, and spicy.
Another amazing book in the Masked Men series! I love how the three guys are all in love with Mellie but don't thinks she is interested in them even though they live together and has been her best friend since childhood. Mellie is madly in love with the guys and are having some some naughty fantasies she wanna try. Luckily for her the guys gets to know her fantasies and are more than happy to do them with her.
Kinks in this book are anal, DP, masked men, primal play and lots of sexy times
"Run and hide as best you can, baby. Tonight, we're going hunting, and make no mistake, Mellie, you are our fu**ing prey."
All Mellie wants is love with a man like the relationship she has with her three best friends. Can one night change that? I loved this book. If you want a quick dirty read this book is for you. The characters were great, especially the men. They are all so different but work great together. I enjoyed the plot and the twist with the dating show. I enjoyed how this book ended. Great read!!
What would you do if you were given the chance to live out your wildest fantasies for one night? Would you say yes or no?
This novella is short on plot but boy was it big on smut! And yep! I was all there for it!
While I’m not a big fan on novellas(I like more details!!!) this one did keep me interested and I finished it in one go! If you’d like to be chased around an abandoned resort by Masked men, this one is for you!
The common theme amongst these books (aside from the obvious masked men and being Why Choose) is that they are far shorter than most other stories that I enjoy reading. And while I would normally state that I'm not happy with the length of something that takes me only a few hours to read, I will absolutely say that I am enjoying these because each one ends up with snippets from the other stories involved somehow! So getting to see little tidbits of information about previous quartets makes me giddy with happiness.
This one involving people who have been "best friends" for years gives you, once again, the amount of background needed for it to not simply be some thrown together coupling, and instead of it being rushed and out there, it's perfectly symmetrical for the dynamics. Including a nice round of mm here and there, which ends up making our FMC go slightly gaga as well.
Finding out that that someone who you always thought saw you as friend zoned actually wants you can make your brain go haywire, right? What if she admits that she wants not just you, but the two best friends you have. All of you who have secretly loved her for years now. Granted, she didn't admit it to YOU, she admitted it (in a roundabout way) in an interview for a love request. This is your way in. All three of you have the chance to show her that it could work out. Masks in place at first, giving her all that she needs until it's time to remove them. It's perfect and it works out better than expected.
Until she finds out from the network that she had actually gotten declined for having needs that were "not acceptable to be aired" and somehow has to work through the fact that she was used by three men who were not supposed to have been there at all. How does a mind wrap around that? But at least she has her three best friends to make her feel better...
Ugh, like I said. It was great. Corny. Always corny. And I feel like she would have been WAY more upset by simply finding out that it was them than what she did... even if she did go ahead and take them for all she could after. But that's the only downfall.
Like, HELLO—who doesn’t want three dangerously seductive men chasing after them?! 😏🔥 But let me tell you, You Are Ours Now isn’t just about the chase—it’s about possession, obsession, and surrendering to the kind of love that leaves you wrecked.
💋 SPICE LEVEL:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Absolute FILTH. Think masked men, dark promises, and enough tension to short-circuit your Kindle.
💀 CHARACTER DYNAMICS: Storm, Zayne, and Julius aren’t your typical book boyfriends. They’re lethal, they’re possessive, and they know exactly what they want—and it’s HER.
⚡ PACING: Fast, addictive, and impossible to put down. From the very first page, you’re thrown headfirst into a web of secrets, seduction, and masked temptations.
💣 EMOTIONAL IMPACT: Between the jaw-dropping twists, heart-clenching moments, and absolutely sinful spice, this book took me on a ride I never wanted to get off of.
If you love reverse harem, dark romance, and the kind of spice that makes you need a moment (or seven) to recover, this book is for YOU. Samantha Barrett & Jaye Pratt just delivered a masked, filthy fantasy that will leave you absolutely feral. 😈🔥
Five stars, no notes, just me lying on the floor, ruined.
📌 One-click this NOW. You’ll never look at masked men the same way again.
If you love dark, possessive romance with a scorching amount of spice, You’re Ours Now is an absolute must-read. Jaye Pratt and Samantha Barrett deliver a gripping, intoxicating story that had me hooked from the very first page.
Storm, Zayne, and Julius are everything you could want in a man—protective, dominant, and utterly irresistible. And the best part? They’re Mellie’s best friends. The way they claim her is intense, raw, and deeply satisfying. Their chemistry is off the charts, and every moment between them is pure fire.
The masked men trope is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and this book only fueled that obsession. There’s something thrilling about the mystery and danger that comes with it, and these three men know exactly how to use it to their advantage. The tension, the possessiveness, and the way they make Mellie feel utterly worshipped had me feeling all sorts of things.
And let’s talk about that Valentine’s Day scene—now that is a Valentine’s Day I could be down with! Passion, devotion, and three dangerously sexy men who know how to make a woman feel desired? Sign me up.
If you’re looking for a book with off-the-charts spice, deliciously possessive men, and a heroine who is the center of their world, You’re Ours Now needs to be on your TBR immediately!

Thoughts
This story was good. Who doesn’t like a friends to lovers why choose full of spice. I know I do. I read through this in one sitting. I felt like there wasn’t a lot of plot but just a lot of spice. Which is totally fine. It was good either way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Wow, where do I start? To quote the words of our fmc; "from the start would be good." Being chased by three masked men through an abandoned resort, in a tantalising game of cat and mouse. Does it get much hotter than that? You bet it does. The fourth exciting installement in Jaye's masked men novella series. This novella follows our FMC Mellie a lover of love, who signs up to a matching making show hoping to find a genuine love connection. A slip of the tongue and she inadvertently finds her deeper sexual fantasies laid bare, dropping the names of her three male best friends Julius, Zayne and Storm as a point of reference. Jaye and Samantha keep their readers engaged by perfectly walking the line between moments of heartfelt sentiment and hot hot spice. Dangling moments of heat and ecstasy before the reader like Eve and her forbidden fruit; the result of which leaves you both hungry and thirsting for more. I give this novella a four out of five chilli rating on the spice meter 🌶🌶🌶🌶 If you seek a solid character development and exceptionally enticing storyline, then look no further. As always take the time to read and familiarise yourself with the trigger warnings prior to diving in. ... And more importantly, happy reading 🔥😈
Mum us says, No TV show wants to film you being chased by masked men unless it’s a thriller or porn. And if you’re not being paid, I’m afraid it is a true crime situation, and someone will find your body in a ditch. And at the very least, wear protection—no orgasm is worth the risk. And do we even need to tell you to look behind the mask first? Also, for fuck’s sake, you know your best friends like you. Don’t play coy. Author us says, Of course you sign up for that shit. Masked men chasing you and bringing you to multiple orgasms in a deserted resort are the best kind. Go get all the orgasms and let that cum slide down your legs, then let another masked man blindfold you and eat that shit straight from your pussy. Problem solved, you’re all clean now. You get all the dick in all the holes. And the bonus part is, your three best friends fuck you stupid in glow masks.
You know your in for a good time when this is how a book starts I live for these masked men books by Jaye Pratt they are quick reads with all the heat.
When Mellie decides that no guys are ever gonna live up to her best friends she signs up to a dating show. Little does she know one of her best friends works for the show and they decide to make her fantasies come true
