His many insights and adventures fill this compelling and edifying book, the authorized biography of a 21st-century spiritual giant.
"Huston Smith: Wisdom Keeper" is a splendid read to read following Houston Smith's "The World's Religions". Smith apparently was deeply involved in writing this authorized biography because it contains thoughts, opinions and details that would not otherwise be available. I found "The World's Religions" to be well written, thoughtful, respectful and insightful. This book, "Houston Smith: Wisdom Keeper" added needed detail and depth to "The World's Religions". This biography of Smith, a truly remarkable man, if you will, brought life and context to Smith's book. "The World's Religions" changed me, thereby earning five stars. This book has impacted me strongly as well. I comfortably give it five stars. Oh how I wish I could have spent time with Huston Smith. This book gave me a chance to become more acquainted with him.
Brilliant, accessible biography of a famous scholar of religion and philosophy of religion. Interesting as biography and superb as an introduction to 20th Century spiritual thinking.
