PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING "VOLUME 5"

Ella K. Lindvall's Read Aloud Bible Stories have been favorites in our home for over a decade. After purchasing the entire set, I noticed "Parables Jesus Told: The Tell-Me Stories" on Amazon one day and wondered why it was branded separately and not included in the series. Nonetheless, I purchased it and we have added it to our set. I could only come up with two conclusions:
1) These are parables, stories Jesus told to instruct as opposed to non-fiction accounts of Jesus, and they wanted to treat them differently, and/or
2) Ms. Lindvall was planning to write additional titles that contained parables.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one confused, because in 2015, the publisher released this SAME content as Volume 5 in the Read Aloud Bible Series. So, if you have "Parables Jesus Told: The Tell-Me Stories," you have what is now branded with a new cover as Volume 5.

While the type of story, being parables, is different from the other Read Aloud/ Lindvall books, we found these stories no less enjoyable. Happy to recommend them whether they are "Read Aloud Bible Stories Volume 5" or "Parables Jesus Told: The Tell-Me Stories." These adult complexities will not diminish your children's enjoyment of the stories one bit!

This volume was exclusively Jesus's parables.

Great retold Bible stories for toddlers. Has my toddlers begging for more stories each night.

This is a collection of roughly 6-7 Bible stories in each volume. The drawings are cute, and often the facial expressions make me chuckle while reading.
