Considering that this book aims to introduce readers to works by authors they may not otherwise read, it achieves its goal.
Sadly, what it accomplished was to help me eliminate works to read. The book failed at getting me to purchase books from the authors it highlighted, but it did help to keep me from spending money on books I would not enjoy.
on the upside, I am looking forward to volume three. Maybe I will discover some new authors to read :-)
This book is a mix of several different stories all in one, and I found it hard to get into some of them. A few parts just didn’t grab me, and I ended up reading through them quickly just so I could move on to the next. Overall, the concept was interesting, but the execution didn’t always hold my attention.
