When Sarah sends a rant about her disastrous date to the wrong number, she never expects to get a flirty response from a stranger. But James, a successful businessman with a wicked sense of humor and a dominant streak, decides to have a little fun at her expense. What starts as playful banter soon turns into something hotter—and a little more kinky.
As their texts grow steamier, Sarah is drawn to James’s confidence, while he’s captivated by her wit and hidden vulnerability. What begins as a texting mishap becomes an erotic game of teasing and tempting, with James pushing all the right buttons—both literally and figuratively.
When they finally meet, sparks fly—along with a few rom-com-worthy mishaps. But between the laughs and the heated moments, Sarah and James both discover they’re playing for keeps. Can they navigate their sizzling connection, or will it all go up in smoke?
Wrong Number is a spicy, funny, and wildly steamy romance about love, lust, and texting the wrong person at just the right time.
After a bad date, Sarah texts her bestie a rant, only to end up texting the wrong number. James is witty, and their banter is instant but quickly moves to flirting. They meet briefly, and the chemistry is there, so the texts turn to texts, and a week later, they have their first 'date' and explore their desires as dom/sub. One weekend together has them both smitten and James asks Sarah to move in, 3 monthslater they are engaged and living their HEA. This book is high is spice centering on the dom/sub play and although it's a cute book, I felt like some scenes were repeated and it lacked something for me, maybe depth of real feeling. But that's my personal view, if you are looking for a fun smut book with light Banter and hugh Spice, this could be right up your street.
I don’t think I have cringed more at a book than I did for this one. It was unbelievably repetitive - the smut scenes and the story line in general. AND I hated the way the main girl character spoke like a 5 year old who didn’t know how to speak in full sentences?
I really liked Wrong Number! It kept a smile on my face and had me laughing throughout. The premise was so much fun—what luck to text the wrong number and end up with a dom like James! He definitely sounds like he’d be a good time.
That said, there were a few things that threw me off. The repetitive use of words like “properly” and “exquisite” stood out, and I found myself wishing for more full sentences in dialogue. For example, instead of “want you, want to be yours,” I think “I want you. I want to be yours” would’ve flowed better. It just felt a little odd when spoken aloud, though it worked fine in the text messages.
Still, I really enjoyed this novella and will definitely check out more from this author. If you’re looking for a quick, spicy, and entertaining read, this one is worth picking up!
first couple pages i was intrigued. then i was hoping she would be killed by the serial killer she keeps joking he is. then i had to put the book down because i could not handle it. hate that the most.
4.5 stars ⭐️This has me giggling, kicking my feet, blushing and biting my lip! Such a fun sexy dirty read that I enjoyed so much. These two had the hottest connection and chemistry! The way James took care of her and his words was so beautiful and also delicious and filthy! The spice was chefs kiss 😗 the praise kink was perfect had my heart beating fast😍 it’s just not a full 5 stars because the use of repetition in words and the quickness of their movements in the relationship but still a delicious 4.5 star read⭐️😏
Holy smokes!! I don’t know if I’ll stop smiling about this book!! I don’t know what I was expecting, but i definitely didn’t expect to fall in love with the characters as much as I did in less than 200 pages! The way they meet, the banter, the constant smiling, tension, submission, the care.. oh my god. This was absolutely brilliant!! A massive yes, now off to go find some more like this 👀
In this SPICY novella our FMC thinks she is texting her best friend's new phone number about her awful first date, but she miss dialed and actually text our MMC. The banter on the phone is better than either has had in person in a while, so they keep it up. Deciding to meet in person, he helps to show her that her desire to submit for pleasure is beautiful and strong. In this whirlwind story they show that trust and communication can make a relationship blossom even in just a short time.
This started off strong, the first string of texts between them had such good banter which had me intrigued and laughing.. and then it rapidly went down hill. It was so repetitive and didn’t have much depth to it, just sex scenes back to back. The FMC couldn’t even string a proper sentence together and it was cringe. I only finished it as I have a reading challenge and I hoped it’d get better like it started.
i only have it 3 stars . it is good read but very repetitive. It felt like the same phrases were repeated over and over. almost like it was just the same sex scene but in a different place
Book gave off a poorly executed smut book vibes. Just too much too fast with little in between. The editing and attention to details progressively got worse as the book went on.
If you can get past the typos, this is a very nice and cute novella. I would love a short sequel. The characters were likable and realistic. I'll probably try reading other books by this author.
Super cute! Super spicy. Nice and short but not too rushed. Good humour. Definitely a book palette cleanser lol would recommend if you want a short spicy book that has character.
I had higher hopes for this because of how great it started. The banter was so cute, but once it got spicy Sarah got boring. Every other sentence was "I need..." and it was just too much for me.
I don't know what to think about this one... started really great, but I kinda lost interest half way through. Can't pinpoin it but it just did not do it for me. So just 2 stars here.
