A young couple goes camping in a national park, hoping for a fun and relaxing vacation, but the forest has plans of its own. Will the pair make it out of the backcountry alive, or is their fate already sealed?
I loved how Imani and Shawn we’re both battling their trauma and how the forest revealed it to them and made them deal with it. I also like the ending and what it means. I would love to see this turn into a series and learning more about the woods and how it came to be or what happened after Imani and Shawn went hiking.

I already never wanted to go camping and now I'm even more sure that I never will. Part supernatural horror, part ecological horror I was thoroughly entertained. I loved how the author was able to make Imani and Shawn such real characters in such a short time. Lush descriptions and eerie imagery really made this story come alive.
I have so many questions. Story creates an eerie and claustrophobic feeling. A couple goes on simple camping trip that turns deadly. The visuals were outstanding. Mycophobia is always a fear that will have the skin crawling. This reminds me of the Tales from the Hood anthologies. Looking forward to checking out her website to find more story stories.
Love how it started. Was not impressed with the headless deer and where the story winded up going. Seemed confusing and pointless. Was hoping for some depth in the story, a purpose to where it was taking us and a much better ending.
