not m favorite but glad to read about my favorites again
This book isn’t really my favorite, but I’m glad to read about my favorite characters again.
I feel that D.A. Young writing has changed, and I’m not really sure if I am all the way here for it.
The way that some of the guys were speaking in the book didn’t match the way they spoke in their Original books.
This also includes some of the ladies as well, it gave a feel that they were acting younger then they really were. And it wasn’t really a hit for me.
I found myself rolling my eyes a lot while reading whenever they would talk.
It’s almost as if they were trying to stay hip and it was frustrating to read about. It was almost an overdose amount of it, that at one point I stop reading to check out previous books to make sure I’m not going crazy.
But nope I wasn’t and it made this book not so much appealing.
One huge factor that save this book is the interaction with the kids. Reading about the kids made me giggle and smile. Between baby Jack trying to take Ruby Best friend Rory. And Graham trying to keep DJ away from his niece it, it was an amusing read.
I also want to give a huge round of applause to Ian and Dominic. ITS ABOUT TIME! Not that I don’t understand Ian point of view, but man stop with all these excuses and go get your man!
Needless to say this book is not my favorite but I enjoy reading about my favorite characters again, as well as the kids.
