Handsome Heroes #2

Handsome Hard and Delicious

Rate this book
Travel the universe, meet new people, and find some nice ass...what was wrong with that plan?

Layden had to take it one step further and fall in love with a man his complete opposite. Lavender was of the Feline clan while Layden of The Golden Wolf Clan. The sex was fantastic. It was everything else that was the challenge. Although, every big fight ended in a world-class romp.

Even with all the yelling, Layden fell in love with the lanky, finicky Lavender. Until the day their pasts came to find them and Lavender is kidnapped by his own people. Now Layden must find his problematic mate and save him before Lavender is lost forever.

Prepare for some epic failures in escape plans, frottage in a space suit, and a handsome twink that plays dirty.

Be Warned: m/m sex, menage sex (MMMM), spanking, rimming

I'm a masturbation expert (true story, I'm single) and I write unique stories. If you're looking for a plot that hasn't been done before check out my books. I currently write m/m but one day I'll venture into m/m/f territory. I'm bi-sexual. I love animals and I've always wanted to paint nude men. Feel free to friend me on Facebook or Goodreads.

**I get so many emails from people who are surprised I read hetero when I’m gay. Well, I’m actually bi and yes, I read many genres. Reading to me is an escape. I’m not at work, staring out the window wondering what the sun would feel like on my face. I’m reading about another world, up in space, vampire or shifters, even just another place on this planet. Hetero, gay, bi, whatever. All that matters to me is the effort that was put into a story and how the characters work to entertain me. **

A Hearts On Fire Review

3.75 HEARTS-- "Handsome, Hard and Delicious" book #2 in James Cox's Handome Hero Wanted series stars the frenemies turned lovers, Layden-wolf/human alien and Lavender-feline alien. These two were breakout stars from the fun story that is "Handsome Hero Wanted".

Layden and Lavender are back together to star in an space erotic filled adventure with hard cocks and funny banter. Both men are on the run but that does not stop them from finding time to bone. Hell there's even a foursome scene with two other breakout stars from book #1.

Hint: a certain alien with double penises. That's right, dos penii. ;P

"I'm going to save you for three reasons: you're handsome, always hard, and fucking delicious.

Do you need to read book #1 first? Technically, no BUT I'd suggest for you to check it out. Both books are hilarious, erotic fun.

I would also suggest to get some hand exercises in because Cox definitely kept these two humping from one corner of space to the next. They are forever hard and needing. This is prime stroke fics, boys and girls.

"How could he have ever wanted you? You smell, you look like a hairy Walla Beast, and you're as dumb as a human."

"Yeah, well, my dick could fuck your brains right out of your head."

But wait! It's not PWP there's a plot and the ending is HEA with a minor cliffhanger. Layden and Lavender kept secrets from each other but it comes out to light...sadly it also leads to a mad chase from angry aliens, crazy escapes and near boner deflating madcap adventures.(Thankfully nothing keeps a good dog down)

Layden and Lavender definitely have grown as characters when comparing both books. Layden is so sweet and possessive and horny. And Lavender is sly as ever and equally as horny. I definitely believe their love for own another.

"This Flower would always be mine to pollinate with my seed.

I think the writing got a little more tighter than the first book, good plot, definitely way more smuttier and has interesting world building. The ending hints for more. And "big balls on a cock", I plan to be there!

So stretch your fingers, put on some mood music and be ready for a story that does not take itself too seriously but delivers in smutty fun.

4 Everybody-deserves-to-find-his-or-her-own-Layden-Stars

I liked the banter between Layden and Lavender. Like in the first book, they behave like cat and dog. (Or should I better say wolf?)

Was there a plot?

BTW... Don't listen to Lavender, if he's making up an escape plan! You better listen to Layden!
"We fight them off by slapping everyone with our dicks."

Even if his brain isn't exactly his strong area and they won't succeed, they sound a lot like fun!

Did they let a chance for humping slip away?

Not even a chance for masturbating under a space ship in space suits!

"So, do you want to escape or fuck on the floor?" He (Lavender) lifted a blond brow."I'm up for either."

I loved the way Layden was treating Lavender so faithful, sweet and adorable! And I really felt for him, when he showed Lavender the house he had bought.
Although Lavender was a spoiled brat from time to time, their love was totally believable.

BTW... There was no need for this little cliffhanger at the end! I'll read the next book anyway!

Dear Layden!

Forever yours,
Britta

P.S:Yeah, I know... That will probably never happen. Because a) I'm a woman and b) you and Lavender are made for each other.
I just wanted to let you know!

I think I liked this a little more than Book 1. Why? Because it has a story. Yeah, I loved getting hard with reading orgies, masturbating different colored and sized dicks, twin dicks, and cum showers; but nothing beats a good love story. :D

It follows the story of Layden and Lavender, which we met at Falla Bray. While reading Handsome Hero Wanted, I knew these two will end up together. But I was still curious what was going through their minds. This one gives that.
I should find their continuous bickering annoying, but I found it endearing and adorable.

I forgot to mentioned this on my Book 1 review (because I was distracted imagining Dusk's dual sword), Mr. Cox world building was good. It did made me feel that I was in space, meeting different and horny creatures. I enjoyed reading this! One of the better shorts out there.

RECOMMENDED!

4 STARS!

Amusing and utterly ridiculous space balls opera.

Lots of bickering and sexing as Lavender and Layden bumblefuck from one incident to the next in their OTT drama ways. Where others might ask fight or flight, the heroes here ask flight or fuck? One's dick is smarter than him, or maybe because it has controlling interest of his brain and the other is a teasing, slutty twink who's still not the brightest bulb in the pack, but in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. Fun.

Must like copious amounts of sex.

Group Unicorn Review coming for Sunday Funday on July 6th!

We unicorns really like to do James Cox in a group, it's kinda like a clubhouse tradition and this one is really special. Why? Well, it's Lavender and Layden from Handsome Hero Wanted, which, in and of itself should be enough.

But, it is also THIS!

*heavy sigh*

*pets dedication*

“Big balls on a cock!”

And the sentences just keep on coming! While I absolutely LOVED Handsome Hero Wanted for all its sexy fun times and brilliant sentences, I may have loved this even more. Why? One word – LAYDEN! No one writes a hero full of sexy snark like James Cox. I thought Kallan from The Triple Towers series was my new book boyfriend, but then I got to read all about Layden. Don’t tell Kallan, because I do love him, but Layden – oh hell! Layden is big, wolfy, possessive, sweet and so snarky, he’s basically walking swoonage. Plus, he’s head over heels in love with Lavender.

Lavender is the feline brat that drives him crazy with frustration and lust. Their battles and banter were great to read. The adventure in this one is really ramped up and while Lavender likes to drive Layden crazy just for kicks, he also has some reasons for not wanting the crappy house that Layden bought for them. And it turns out Lavender is pretty possessive himself. The continuation of the world building just keeps getting better and knowing that this series is continuing makes me one happy unicorn.

Probably my favorite thing though, was the romance. Not ridiculous hearts and flowers schmaltz, but flawed heroes who really love each other; faults and all. That aspect really made this a fully fleshed out story for me and made me appreciate these characters.
Besides the romance I loved:

1. Space Suite Frottage
2. This sentence, “I tried to get my head working, the bigger one, and despite rumors, that was not the one between my legs.”

3.5 rounded up because of all the fun I had reading this, especially the first half.

I had so much fun reading this story!

Snarky humor + steamy sex + charming sweetness = classic James Cox story :)

Some unanswered questions/plot holes, but I didn't even care, there were too many great lines that kept me laughing.

“Happy?” Lavender practically hissed the word. “Or do you want me to get on my knees and suck you off?” Actually, I did, but I had a feeling Lavender was being sarcastic.

Enjoy this for the silly, sexy, sweetness it is :D

Handsome, Hard and Delicious is good James Cox fun in a nutshell. It's PWaLP - Porn with a little plot, and the smexin' is hot. Before I go any further can I just say, that cover....it's smokin'! Oh and the dedication. MWAH!

If you like your MC's to have sex at every available opportunity - even when they're on an escape mission, then this is the book for you. Throw in some rope play and a foursome and you're good to go. Wink, wink.

JC's sexy, sarcastic sense of humour comes through in Layden and of course, everyone's favourite, Lavender. A fun and sexy little read.

Layden and Lavender's novella...or should I say Mutt and Flower. A chase around the galaxy with Flower being pursued by his aggrieved husband to be, punctuated by lots of sex, erections, giggles and lots of growling from Mutt. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars from me.

Two of the "handsome heroes" from the first book in the series are back, and I have to admit, the pairing of Layden of the Golden Wolf Clan and Lavender of the Feline Clan made me grin. They seemed to get in trouble all the time and to have a whole story devoted to their woes as a couple and other problems is great. I was happy to see that the humorous tone and overwhelmingly good fun everyone is having are as much a part of this book as the last. Serious romance this is not, but it’s just the ticket if you're looking for an adventure in outer space and great entertainment of the erotic sort. A true erotic space opera that gets more fun each time a new volume is added.

Layden carries the DNA of his wolf ancestors, and it shows in the way he thinks and behaves. He is also very much a man, and has fallen for Lavender, a man driven by his feline DNA. The way they behave together had me in stitches. Layden is all possessive, mine, mine, mine. Lavender is very playful and loves to tease the “stupid mutt”. In the end, it’s clear they really love each other and when Layden’s attempt at providing a home for Lavender so they can settle down goes wrong, they quickly realize it’ll take both of them actually cooperating if they want to survive.

From the teasing nicknames and not so teasing insults they throw at each other to the unlikely events that take place, this is a very entertaining story. A kidnapping is only the beginning of it all. Secrets are revealed, spaceships are stolen, and one of the best interludes, I think, is the scene where Layden and Lavender are bored while they’re hiding and decide to have frottage in space suits. Yes, I know it’s most unlikely, but hey, I had fun reading it.

If you like space opera with a good dose of humor, if the facts and reality are less important to you than having a good time, and if you’re willing to suspend your disbelief for a read that is as hot as it is outrageous, then you will probably like this novella.

Review: Handsome Heroes #1 & #2 by James Cox

heheheheheeee......

I giggled my way through Handsome Hero Wanted. I mean, seriously? It was a fun read but I blushed myself silly, fanned my face frantic, imagination had to be slapped to submission, then kept my mouth shut. I loved it, totally different with a spectacular array of indecent men and stuff? biggestsmilever!

Then I saw Handsome, Hard, and Delicious, book two of the Handsome Heroes series. This was different, had a lot more oomph story-wise and the relationship between Layden and Lavender is sealed and getting stronger despite all of their ups, downs, misunderstandings and disagreements.

When Layden decides to sell all and get the home Lavender had been dreaming of, he gets a smack of brattiness from his beloved who does not seem to like what he got for him. Talk about ingratitude! He sold all! Wasn't that enough? Apparently not and Lavender goes on a huff of full on brattiness and then, poof! He gets kidnapped.

Major facepalm event here!

Layden does all he could to get his baby back but then, he does it in the most astoundingly airhead manner and gets even more frustrated when the tables are turned on him. By Lavender. Sigh... will he do anything right? Well, yes he does, sort of and Lavender kisses his booboos away in the most erotic manner before they get saved and -------------- yeah, we have to wait for the third now. Major frustration going on here but I just cannot wait! Then they reveal their final (?) secrets to each other and they are major! Really major!

But no spoilers here so you have to find out for yourselves!

So even if I giggled my way through book 1, I did not in book 2. Well, I did but for a different (but really good) reason. Guaranteed satisfaction :D

Thank you, James, for writing Layden and Lavender's story! I know we begged for it, but I'm still humbled by it and the awesome dedication!

Handsome, Hard and Delicious is an action-adventure romance between Layden, our wolf bad boy and Lavender, the feisty twink with the feline bloodline. It's a kickass fun book to read yet it was so damn HOT I kept taking breaks to let my eReader cool down. Ok, maybe it was me that needed to cool down. o_O I'm talking frottage, ropes, spanking and a foursome with a dual dick dude....can you say SCORCHING!? And the snark, OMG I loved the snark between Layden and Lavender. Picture Lethal Weapon with Danny Glover and Mel Gibson fucking between every shootout and that's HH&D.

This wasn't perfect (how in the hell did Lavender escape Vishtar once they were on Felintasion?) but it was so much fun, I loved every crazy minute of it anyway!

There’s the escape plans these two come up with...hysterical and entertaining. There was more of a plot in this book than the first book which I really liked. The author seems to keep improving his skills. And of course the sex. Really?! Awesome!

He did it again!!
This series is getting better and better, and this is "just" the second book.
I nearly longed for Lavenders and Laydons story after it was getting clearer in "Handsome Hero Wanted" that between this two sexy beasts it is more than the usual cat-and-dog-fight.
Both together are just like dynamite and fire...and we're not even talking about the sex here!
The sexual tension at every moment they're near each other gets your skin tingling and their make-up sex just leaves your mouth watering for more.
Even in dangerous situations, they can't let their hands of each other for long. (Just remembering hanging outside of a space ship and getting horny and what to do against it! Really great job with that scene, James Cox, haven't got that in my Imagination for being possible at all!)

As Laydon get's really aware of his feelings for his feline it is nearly to late, or isn't it?! And Lavender, will he stay with his sexy mutt, no matter what the future holds?
You just have to read to get to know, but believe me, you won't be disappointed.
This book is just a great and sexy read!

4 star review by Dan

Layden and Lavender are back in this installment, which tells their story. At some point this installment almost became just plain erotica with a couple sci-fi sequences stuck in the middle. Honestly, I had a hard time enjoying this one as much as the first one. Seriously? They have sex in the space ship while the enemy is looking for them in the asteroid belt, and then frottage in their space suits while hanging off the bottom of that space ship while they are waiting for the enemy to haul the ship into their cargo bay?

I thought this installment was ok, but not on par with the first installment. It kind of lost my interest for a little while in the middle and then ended in a cliffhanger. I’m really thinking book 2 and book 3 should have been one book?

I really like these two characters in the first book and very much looked forward to this book.

I liked it just fine but really wanted more substance on Flower :). His constant running and flitting about was too distracting for me.

I did not mind, no... I actually enjoyed the menage on book #1. I am one of those people who hate a third wheel in a romance. I hate love triangles, I hate threesome when there are feelings involved. A romantic relationship should be between 2 people only; how can one of the couple stand to watch his partner kissing another guy? Touching another guy? Book #1 was lust only, everything was physical only, no feelings involved. But book #2 is supposedly about Layden and Lavender, the wolf and the cat, and they are madly in love with each other. Suddenly, one day, they want to do a foursome with Drayton and Dusk. Yeah, they have done it before when they first met, but they are all now supposedly in a relationship (Drayton with Dusk; Layden with Lavender). But no, there you have it, a foursome. F**k it, straight to my DNF pile.

I'm at 50% and I just can't go any further unfortunately. I just don't care for this book or these characters. It's just not reading well for me. The story is confusing and difficult to follow and on top of it all the couple speaks to eachother very strangely. They call eachother names and call eachother stupid or idiot etc. so im sure that it's just the couples way of speaking and it's not meant to really be insulting. but it's hard to read past it bc there honestly seems to be no love between the characters. Idk it's just not an enjoyable read for me. but I plan to continue with the series I'm sure the other books won't be the same.

As only James Cox can do it! Layden wants to surprise his mate Lavender with a new home. He is the one who gets surprised when his frisky kitty is not at all happy about the location of their shabby chic hut.
When he overhears Lavender making plans to leave the planet, he returns home to lick his wounds.
Things are not as they seem. Lavender is in trouble and Layden will stop at nothing to save his love. Will their love be enough to make it through an interspecies war?
These boys love hard and play harder....hot bondage scene that makes you want to say Yes Sir to Layden!
