War has come to the United States. It’s been brewing for years as the government and Military Police wage war on the outcasts known as the Bionics. It’s spilling out into the streets as the militant Rejects continue to wage war against the ‘inferior’ humans, the M.P.s are raiding neighborhoods and putting Bionics to death, and I am fighting alongside the Resistance to save our kind from extinction. To top it all off, the president has now declared martial law, and the rights of American citizens are being stripped away one by one.

Together, with the vigilante known as The Patriot, and my Resistance family, I am prepared to fight the impossible fight, to stand up for what’s right. From a single spark, our little rebellion has grown into a revolution, a roaring fire that will envelop the nation. At the same time, things in my personal life are finally turning around. I’m in love with a beautiful girl who loves me back, and we might have a shot at a real future … unless the enemy manages to snatch away from me everything that I hold dear.

I am so glad that more books in the Bionics series are coming out. This series is a great dystopian NA story. The year is 4010 and the earth is at war. The goverment is trying to eliminate any people with bionic parts, the parts that it gave them in the first place to save their lives.

I was really looking forward to this book, because it's from Dax's PoV and he is my favorite character. It had everything the previous books had, action, romance, sad moments. Unfortunately, in this book Dax is not his usual fun, arrogant, kick-ass self. He is faced with a lot of changes in his life. Moving on from the girl he could never have, opening himself to a new relationship. He has a lot of guilt and tries to do the right thing by everyone. It was hard watching him suffer so much. If only his life wasn't so complicated... Poor Dax.

All in all, this was a very fast paced, action packed book that gives us a deeper glimpse into Dax's mind. The book takes an unexpected turn at the end, setting the note for the next one. I honestly can't wait because I really want to see how the Bionics will manage to crawl their way out of the mess they are in.

In the first book, The Bionics Dax is really close to Blythe, but many things have happened since we first met Dax and Blythe. They are still attracted to each other but have been becoming friends rather then lovers. Dax has become close to another woman, Yasmine that seems to complete him.
Dax is part of a team that are the good Bionics. They want to bring acceptance to the world that wants to reject the Bionics. Even though the government helped develop the parts to give the people a second chance after the war, they now fear them. Dax is also working with a non bionic that is doing everything to thwart the government.
This is just a must read book. Its exciting from page one. There are just some super hot sex scenes that make this for adults. Alicia Michaels can definitely write books that keep you wanting to get them as soon as she releases them. I know because I am constantly on her Facebook page begging for the next one!

If you've made it this far you already love these characters enough to go through fire with them. Well in this one you do. This is a pivotal point in the Resistance. New allies are formed and some lives are lost. This one is from Dax's pov and we see his love for Yasmine grow and him realize what him and Blythe have is stronger and different than romantic feelings, they are family. There are so many twists and turns, tears and cheers in this edition. We are tested along with the characters and we find new characters to love. We may just be able to take down the government and rebuild a better society with equality and some semblance of peace. It won't be easy but if anyone call pull it off it is the guys! Dax, Yasmine, Blythe, Alec, Olivia, Jeneca, and the Professor along with the strong members of the Resistance. As long as they have hope they will succeed.

The flame has been sparked.

Alicia Michaels delivers the heart pounding thrill ride you have come to expect from the Bionics Series. The fuse is sparked in the opening pages and the momentum carries it forward to an explosive and climatic end.

Through her artistry of the written word, Alicia Michaels turns a divided world on the cusp of a revolution into a raw, sexy, emotional blaze that will ignite the revolt in all of us.

Just finished reading it. You had me worried till I read the epilogue. It was great! I loved the budding bromance between Gage and Dax and the romance between Yasmine and Dax, wow. Janice is one tough woman, her, Olivia and Blythe are probably my favorite female characters.

War, Romance, Suspense...Full of awesomeness!, September 3, 2014
I am reviewing this series as a whole, because I read them back to back in a week's time. The Bionics 8/27, Titanium 8/28, Secrets 8/30, Spark 9/1, & Flame 9/2.
Once I began this series I could not put it down. If it hadn't have been for my kids getting sick immediately followed by two birthday parties I would have finished it a few days earlier. LOLz

Where to begin...These 5 books are are fairly short, but do not be fooled...they are full of awesomeness! Book 1 was sort of Blythe's story along with an introduction to everything this "family" has survived so far. A great beginning to a fast paced story that quickly proved one of my favorites. Book 2 was more of Dax's story which I fell for in Book 1, & was rooting for him from then on. In Book 3 we get a much deeper story for Gage (who, by now I am totally falling for), & by Book 4 I am totally pissed at all of them! They now have me completely wrapped up in their world & it is so intense between the war, politics, romances, secrets, "bromances", hate filled fury, & heart string pulling emotions.

These characters are full of depth & layers that slowly wither away allowing us to grasp their inner awesome one small glimpse at a time. The first connection I made was with Blythe. She is hard & shut of from everyone except for a very few who she trusts over all others. I quickly felt connected to her through Michael's emotional retelling of her past & the amazing woman she becomes. Dax, faithful to the end, is stuck between being the BFF & the love of a lifetime. I am pulled in two different directions as Gage is now thrust into our midst & demanding our attention. Alas, Love is always just out of arm's reach during this battle filled time. And just when I fear that no one will break through that wall Blythe has put up we are smack in the middle of a heart-breaking "What If" moment. It gets real interesting real quick with all of the new characters & action added to the mix. I easily found so many endearing qualities in each of the new additions. The Professor, Jenica, Agata, Laura, Tamryn, Baron, & even Monkey Arms playing such crucial parts in this tale! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys dystopian, military, end-of-world type books, freedom fighting, paranormal, romance, or any mix there of!!
Flame is my absolute favorite of the 5 though! ;*)

**full review coming soon **
oh my god! what an ending to.this series so far!!

The Bionic is a series of book that you really need to read in succession. I have never read dystopian before and I wasn't really sure just what to expect or even if I would enjoy it. But I was really pleasantly surprised and I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the concept that the series is about.

One thing I loved was how each book is told by one characters point of view, it gives you a better idea of them and what the are personally facing a midst all the civil unrest.

As each book concentrates on one characters POV you get a better connection with them this way, not that I didn't instantly connect with th from the start, but hearing their own story about how the Restoration Project came to change their life -for better and for worse - you get a better understanding as to what life is like for them as a bionic.

The way that Alicia Mitchell's describes the post apocalyptic world, and the bionic enhancements that the characters have has you instantly imagining it clearly in your head.

These were a great series of books and I really enjoyed the genre, definitely will be checking out more of the dystopian and post apocalyptic genre.

This is the fourth book in the series and Alicia has not let up in the plight of the characters. The Resistance is going strong with Dax and all the other Bionics. This book is from Dax's point of view and in this one you learn more about his feelings for both Yasmine and Blythe. The Resistance has to build new bonds with others in order to help their cause. There are twists in turns in this book as well as romance, so you get a little bit of everything :)
