Candy Hearts, Second Edition. Working in a surf coast hotel seems like the remedy for Tom’s unhappiness, as he nurses a broken heart, but as Valentine’s Day approaches, and the hotel plans festivities, Tom realizes he’s lonely. It seems he’s the only one without someone special in his life. Will the girl he’s been too engrossed in his work to pursue, respond if he asks her to the dance? Has she even noticed him as he visits the café where she works every week? She certainly has noticed Tom. She sighs over him as she serves his coffee. When he finally approaches her, she has to decide if she can trust him with her secret as she falls head over heels in love. A contemporary, erotic romance for people who love a happy ending.

As always Ms. Parkes delivers believable characters that could be people you'd meet on the street, in a wonderful setting that just screams romance. What could be better than a beautiful hotel near the beach?

One of the things I always love about Ms. Parkes' novels is I can picture myself in the same situation; a lonely everywoman who meets the right guy in the right circumstances. Do I act? Do I not? All the things you would think about in a similar situation come into play in Candy Hearts. Add some steam, a little conflict, mix well and viola you have a story and yet another couple to remember.

A sweet short story!

Elodie knows how to bring the characters to life. The feelings that is brought to you is believable. What's nice is that the story has no darkness. Which seems to be the case in most these days. It was light, refreshing and with the right amount of Erotica. I recommend this for anyone looking for a short read.

I really enjoyed this sexy, yet sweet romance about two lonely people. The lovers are believable characters that anyone can relate to, and the author has a style and voice that really pulled me in. The romantic setting was a plus—I’m a beach person. What could be better? I look forward to reading more from Elodie Parkes.

What a wonderful story. Tom wants to be loved. He meets a girl and knows right off that she is the one for him - but they both have secrets. This is a great Valentine's story and a definite must read. Ms Parkes has done it again.
