Alejandro is not only the biggest fan of the slasher franchise Camp Blood, he's just won a walk on role in the newest movie. He's getting the full Hollywood treatment, and a rare behind the scenes look at the next installment and he can't wait to get home and tell all of his friends about it — that is if he makes it home.
Ale soon finds out the movie making business can be cutthroat, literally. From clueless production assistants, to vengeful co-stars, can Ale survive the true horrors that start unfolding on set? Or, will he disappear just like those who have come before him at camp?
And shoutout to the casting department, they found the perfect Blood Lake Killer — it's like he was born for this role...
I enjoyed this book! It was an original take on the camp horror genre. It had a good twist to it. I plan on reading the rest of the books in this series.
I accidentally machete’d my way into Terror Valley Book 3 before reading Book 2, and guess what? I regret nothing.
This Way to Camp Blood by Squall Charlson rips like a late-night VHS rental you weren't supposed to watch but did anyway with the volume low and your heart pounding. It follows Ale (short for Alejandro), a mega-fan of a slasher series called Camp Blood, basically Squall’s version of Friday the 13th.
Ale wins a contest to appear in the next Camp Blood film and from there it's mystery, mayhem, and machete-grade madness. No spoilers, but it rules. Fast chapters, nonstop momentum, and a great behind the scenes of what it would be like on a movie set.
This is technically the longest Terror Valley book but somehow feels like the shortest. That’s Squall’s secret sauce, his writing style is prefect for anyone who loves YA horror books, or new readers looking to get into horror.
