Demons and Destinies: The Corrupt Carnival

Rate this book
Our choices define who we are. Gods, I hope that’s not true. If so, I’m not really sure what they would say about me. Would they call me the coven killer? Destroyer of bonds? Keeper of balance?

Unfortunately for me, I am all of that, and also the Daughter of Storms. It’s complicated though, because while I was given all of these titles alongside a choice I made, there was really no other option. Now, I have a feeling that a new name is coming, I just don’t know if it’s going to be good or bad.

After being thrust into a realm full of rebellious demons and a corrupt carnival, I never imagined myself getting trapped here. They say I have to perform, but I’m stuck with two partners in an act that feels as if it might never end.

My friend asks for my help in a war that will determine freedom and destiny, which is no small thing. Even the Fates themselves fear the outcome of this impending battle. I’d prefer to say no, but that’s the thing, I can’t. There is no other option.

So, in a life full of choices that define us, what would you be willing to sacrifice in order to be the keeper of your own destiny?

The way this series keeps getting better and better! 😮‍💨 I’m obsessed with these characters and I loved every second of this book! Rai, Zavian and Kieres were amazing, their chemistry was so hotttt and I could not stop reading! This book is filled with suspense, tension and humor. Zavian and his psycho ways had me dying laughing and falling in love with him even more. Rai was amazing, so strong and ready to face whatever came. Kieres, the perfect combination of sweet and protective, he was ready to give it all for the bond. And Paradox, omg, I loved Paradox so much!!!

The all powerful witch and the daughter of storm plus twin demon princes >>>

I love how strong and resilient Rai is as the FMC. Kieres brings her peace and brings out her inner soft side. While Zavian brings out her inner psycho! They balance each other out so well. Don’t even get me started with the spice!!!

T R Oldin’s books just keep getting better and better.

Demons and Destinies had me cracking up the whole time and if I wasn’t laughing then I was falling in love or on the edge of my seat. This book was full of personality, charm, humor, and suspense. I loved every second.

The storyline is captivating from the very first page and the character!! I think they may very well be on the top of my list of favorite paranormal characters! 😍 The twins were everything! Zavian was hilarious, spicy, just my absolute favorite. Kieres was so perfectly balanced with his masculine energy and sense of who he was. His desire to not only keep but protect his bond has my heart melting. Rai was fierce and so cool! She led an impossible life that gave her a spectacular gift that came with a lot of expectations and responsibilities.

Paradox was adorable and I just kept picturing this beast mode of a dog that loves snugs and cozy beds. 😂 I now want a Hellhound lol.

The banter in this book and invasive thoughts were top tier and had me cackling. The concept behind this story and honestly this entire series is so uniquely crafted and deep but the humor balances it all.

I’m so excited to continue this series!!

I will start with that freaking dog! It was honestly the best part! I love him so much!
Second best thing was Zavian, I just want to hug him and never let go! He was so damn cute and funny. Don’t get me wrong Kieres was also great, but he was like fluffy great and Zavian was that - I’m not even able to express it. He was just cute, broken, bad, grumpy, funny…. everything what one want in demon.

Good thing about this book was Rai also. She was smart and strong, not some cry baby and she really didn’t needed saving! That is like 10/10 for me. I hate female characters who just cry and cry!

Just to be aware this is second book in series, so please read the first one it’s worth it also!

Okay, maybe I’m addicted to demon romance! Really I am!

Regarding story, there was one scene where I almost had heart attack and I was like “no no no , not happening” I was really scared for a few seconds. That is why I wrote that I love the dog most.

So overall you should read it, and if not for the demons (ehm hot demons) and strong female characters, at least do it for the dog! He is big! and funny! and cute and yes I will not shut up about the dog, because he is a hellhound and I love cats, but who doesn’t want big scary dog?

“I have seen your heart and soul, breathed in your fire, and basked in your storm. I want nothing more than to live in the presence of your spark.”

I’m thrilled to be on the ARC team again for the second book in this series! Trust me, it was an absolute page-turner! I couldn’t put it down! I love how the characters from the first book made a comeback, but it wasn’t confusing at all. And the best part? There are multiple perspectives, including the hellhounds!

Rai’s personality was probably my favorite. She’s just an absolute badass. She doesn’t need saving, but she also knows when it’s okay to let her guard down.

Don’t get me started on the twin demons; they both had my heart.🥺😭

T.r. Oldin is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors!

“Demons and Destinies” by TR Oldin is a captivating read that effortlessly blends elements of fantasy, adventure, and introspective character development. From the very first chapter, readers are plunged into a world where fate, demons, and destiny intertwine in unpredictable ways. Oldin’s storytelling is immersive, with a rich world-building experience that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The plot is tightly woven, with several twists and turns that keep the tension high throughout the book. The protagonist, a relatable yet complex character, is constantly forced to make difficult choices, adding depth and emotional resonance to the narrative. The pacing is generally strong, although there are moments where the story slows down a bit, taking time to delve into the intricacies of the world and its lore.

The interactions between characters are one of the book’s strong points. The relationships—whether alliances or rivalries—feel authentic and grounded, driving the emotional stakes of the story. The supernatural elements, particularly the demons, are chilling and well-crafted, adding an ominous layer to the narrative without overwhelming it.

While the book shines in many areas, there are moments where the prose could have been tighter, and some of the secondary characters feel underdeveloped. However, these are minor drawbacks in an otherwise compelling narrative.

In conclusion, “Demons and Destinies” is a fantastic read for fans of dark fantasy and supernatural thrillers. With its intricate world-building, engaging plot, and well-drawn protagonist, it earns a strong 4/5 stars. The book sets the stage for a promising series, and I look forward to seeing where Oldin takes the story next.

HONEST ARC REVIEW! Thank you T.R. Oldin, glad to be part of your team!

I seriously cannot get enough of this series. Demons and Destinies had me locked in from page one. T.R. Oldin keeps stepping things up with every book, and this one? Easily one of my favorites so far.

Rai is such a powerhouse. She’s fierce, determined, and just an all-around badass. I’m a sucker for a strong FMC, and Rai delivered on everything. Her journey, the pressure she’s under, the way she keeps going even when it hurts—she’s someone you can’t help but root for.

And Zavian… my actual heart. I didn’t think I could love him more after the last book, and then this one came in and broke me. He’s chaotic and frustrating in the best way, but you feel how much he loves Rai, even before he fully understands it himself. He’s ride or die for her, and that wrecked me. Kieres, too—he’s such a steady presence. The way he protects what he loves without question? So soft, so good. And the bond between the brothers? Full of tension, love, and everything in between.

Also, Paradox. I need one. His little POV moments were such a fun surprise and made me love him even more. A big, terrifying, loyal cuddle monster? Yes please.

The banter in this book? Top-tier. I was cracking up one second and getting hit in the feelings the next. The balance between magic, emotion, and humor was so good. The world continues to grow in such a vivid, unique way—the carnival, the crystals, the lore—it's all so creative and fun to get lost in.

T.R. Oldin has built something really special here, and I’m already dying to see where the story goes next.

“That’s it, Little Spark. Make your sin drip down my chin and tell me I’m not your perfect mate.”

ARC Review: Rai is a powerful witch and daughter of storms who has found a way of life on her own after losing her coven and saving her now pet hellhound from their destructive hands. When she’s called on by a friend to help with a favor, she doesn’t realize that by completing the task asked of her requires more than just a little piece of her forever.

Kieres and Zavian are princes of an Underworld God who seeks them out in their dreams to torture them every chance he gets. These princes are desperate to break the bond that tethers them to their father but when Rai shows up to help with that request, a mate bond forms in it’s place that none of them agreed to.

“Control your own destiny. I am happy to follow you wherever you go, just so long as we are together.”

Final Thoughts: Omg this book! The personality and humor that came through for these characters and the spice - whew! If I was not laughing from their banter or fanning myself from these guys’ filthy mouths, then I was swooning over how protective and caring they were for Rai. I loved all 3 characters so much individually and together. I loved all of the interactions with the characters from book 1 and cannot wait for the next story in this world!

The way Demons and Destinies flows in such breathtaking description as did the first set in the series where you’ll 100% need to read to know what I am even talking about with Magic and Mayhem. The more I read the more anticipation builds for the next book in the series and what is to come!! I love the why choose with a baddie FMC with two of the most smexiest princes of Hell. Don’t forget the cutest little but huge protector of all.

Rai is the Yin to my Yang!!
Have you ever realized watching a movie, TV series, or even a soap opera that there is a message that connects in ways that speaks to your situation, to soul? Well books does that for me and holds a deeper meaning within. TR Oldin, my love your book series I’m addicted to. Demons and Destinies with Rai and Kieres scene and your words/Rai’s words on page 89… You made me feel heard and seen through Rai, connecting in ways that in the here and now I don’t. I already know already with Magic and Mayhem, Demons and Destinies; that the rest will continue to connect but also make me fall even more in love with your other worlds. You in the here and now, your view; darling you are my here and now Yin to my Yang.
“The push, the pull, and internal divided. Zav has me wanting to jump inside and shake him. Breathe being held. I don’t want this to ever end but I need to know.” If that intrigues you, read this whole series and get lost in the most delicious way possible.

The Corrupt Carnival series by T.R. Oldin is a dark paranormal romance series filled with mate bonds, why choose, magic, and demons. Evolet and Eryx my absolute couple in this series (couple from book 1). I absolutely loved their dynamic. Evolet was my favorite FMC. Seeing her gain her confidence and became a badass witch was amazing. Lilu and Rai were confident and badass off the bat but still had their own traumas to overcome. All three FMC had different personalities but were all badass in their own ways. I loved how each mate bond was unique. I loved that this series had multiple POVs so you got to get know each character’s feelings. I loved all the MMCs but I have to say Rhun and Eryx were my favorites.

This series must be read in order as there is a larger plotline that continues through each book and does not resolve until book 4. This series had great characters and an interesting storyline. I though the magic system and world building was easy to understand and follow. Each group of fated mates were perfect for one another and I loved seeing their dynamics. The found family vibes in this series were great. I read this series. This was the first series I have read from T.R. Oldin and it will definitely not be my last. I truly loved her writing and I was hooked from book 1.

Demons and Destinies is book 2 in the Corrupt Carnival series. Rai, the Witch of Storms, finds herself entangled with twin demons Kieres and Zavian after being called upon to assist in severing a powerful bond.

Has anyone figured out how to bring fictional characters to life? Cause those twins 🥵. Hey Rai 👀 would you consider letting me borrow them? Just for a night I’m not greedy 🫣🤭

By the way, I think Rai just might be my favorite in the series. Tough, powerful, stubborn, and underestimated. I’m definitely a fan ❤️‍🔥. Then there’s Zavian. If Rai is the storm then he is the wild front🌪️. He’s so chaotic he should come with a warning label ‼️No filter. Proceed at your own risk.‼️ 😂. He’s stubborn to a fault but you understand his motivations. Thankfully we have level-headed Kieres. He is the perfect balance for the trio and helps anchor the other two ⚖️

Book 1 briefly mentioned Lord Oni and this story provides more insight into who he is. We also get to see how Evolet’s relationship with the twins has evolved and I loved it. I was definitely giggling.

And the bestest boy award goes to Paradox 🏆 with his shiny coat and perfect ears 🥰

This was another well-written and entrancing story by T.R. Oldin. She is setting us up for an epic showdown at the end of this series 🪄⛈️ 🔥. Can’t wait for book 3

Rai: The fierce, strong minded, independent Daughter of Storms
Kieres: The put together, kind, helpful twin
Zavian: The chaos monster and drama king

Also. Paradox. That cheeky lil dog, always running off to do sneaky badassery

First off. Rai is a QUEEN. She survived so much and yet is so strong. Her coven... puke. She deserved allllll the power.

Zavian. Oh the little drama king. I like the fact that zavian wasn't immediately like "YES give me the bond"
Obviously he can't fight it forever but I like that he didn't just melt for this complete stranger. BUT he's also one of the most stubborn asshats I've ever seen. All points lead to Rai yet he continues to deny it. Has he not learned from previous encounters of what happens when someone else refused the bond??? Bad shit my dude.

I really love the circusy showmanship too. Each book the characters really get into the performance of their individual shows. Each one getting better and better. Now granted better show = more emotions and things for the demons to feed off... but still.

AND OKAY TAYLOR. You made me nervous. I thought a bad thing was happening. *Clap clap* Man.... the Fates are real troublemakers aren't they?

ARC Reader! This was a short easy read for me because I literally couldn’t put it down!

Rai. What a fucking woman! She is a complete badass, so strong, resilient, and honestly a character I’d like to be like because she isn’t afraid. The bond between her and the twins is all caps HOTTTTTT AND SPICY!!!! 🌶️ 🥵

Turns out you never know what you are missing until you read about some demon mate fucking 😂😂

The bond and honest relationship between Rai, Zavian, and Kieres is honestly so perfect. They bring out the best in each other and don’t hold each other down or back. Their relationship is what people should strive for a relationship of true pure strength and natural highlighting and flourishing of each others strengthens while picking up for and diminishing down their partners weaknesses so at the end of it all their is only pure strength and commitment (shit I have no idea if any of that made sense but it sounded right in my head) 🤦‍♀️

I think this was the perfect continuation in this series and I loved getting to see Evolet and Eryx again and I’m so happy to be getting to see more of the corrupt carnival! I can’t wait to see what more T gives us from these demons!

But the real star of the show for me…Paradox turns out no one loves you like a male dog loves the little lady in his life! 😍🤩🥰

Obsessed is an understatement! 🫦🥵

This sets up a dark, fantastical journey that seems equal parts introspective and chaotic. Nothing like a morally complex heroine—someone who didn’t necessarily choose her fate but still bears the weight of the internal conflict, paired with a setting full of rebellious demons and a corrupt carnival, makes for an intriguing premise.

The tone is raw and personal, almost like a confessional from someone who’s done what they had to do—regardless of how it looked to the outside world. The carnival element gives it a twisted, surreal vibe, especially with the idea of being forced to “perform” with two other mysterious partners. It hints at both dark fantasy and emotional tension, possibly even some romantically charged dynamics if it leans into that triad setup.

One standout strength is the voice—it’s weary but determined, making the character feel grounded even in this otherworldly realm But if you love morally gray heroines, destiny-driven, and supernatural rebellion, this promises a tale with high emotional and magical stakes. Especially for readers who crave that feeling of “what would you do if the weight of the world fell on your shoulders.”

You will not be disappointed! Add this to your TBR list stat!

This is my honest review in exchange for reading the ARC!

Demons and Destinies is the second book in the Corrupt Carnival series by T.R. Oldin. Enjoying the last book, I jumped at the opportunity to continue the story. The book is a dark paranormal romance.

Here we meet Rai, an outcast in a coven without any powers until her choice to save a hellhound changed her life forever. Now, the Daughter of Storms, with an unusual companion, is thrust into a realm filled with demons and a corrupt carnival. Paired up with the delicious twin demons, Zavian and Kieres, things get very steamy! Rai, the FMC, is fierce and a bad a$$! Kieres makes my knees weak with his kindness and desire to protect Rai and the bond. Zavian is the perfect combination of a psycho and fiery attitude. We also get to revisit Evolet and Eryx from book one.

I loved that the immersive plot and vivid world-building continued in book two. I love that Oldin has created these snarky characters that you fall in love with. The character development remains complex, as it puts them in situations where they are forced to make difficult decisions.
I look forward to the next book in the series!

Thanks to T.R. Oldin for gifting me an eARC of Demons and Destinies. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I thought I loved Evolet and Eryx but Rai and her guys really had me obsessed! It was so fun to see a whole new relationship while still getting glimpses of the OG couple from book one and those other characters around them and finding out even more about them.

This book gave me all the smutty, emotional, tension filled goodness while also giving little teases at what the next book could entail and I cannot wait to see where things go though I am SO worried about the tension that continues to ramp up.

That 👏🏻 S P I C E!
This book has some delicious spice throughout and I was so hear for it. These boys and their mouths? FORGET ABOUT IT, I was unwell the whole time.

But more than that the immediate tension and chemistry between them was felt early on and I adored watching them all grow into such a beautiful relationship. I especially loved seeing the Kieres support of Rai, as such a support system for Zavian, I was so happy to see he was the same for Rai.

All in all, if you haven’t dove head first into the Corrupt Carnival series, you absolutely need to before book 3!

Now I found the first one tricky to get into, but this one here I was engrossed from the start and I think it's because I had a better understanding of the world's

This book follows the threesome of Rai, Kieres, and Zavian. Rai is a witch that gets called into the picture at the end of book 1. Rai is powerful and likes to play with the fates which is how she starts her relationship with the men. The three of them wind up being mates, but of course they can't just leave it at that they have to continue to play with bonds and fates and the greater beings.

This book things really start amping up to war and the change of control. Key players, events, and prophecies all start to fall into place of alot of change and alot of war. Things are definitely going to continue getting more interesting.

These books showcase mythical beings, gods, demons, witches, and creatures. As well as discusses magic. The complexity of the magic, beings and stories, really had me interested.

As for romance there was lots of that. Fated mates. Very spicy. I'd say a solid 4/5 🌶. Group activities, 1 on 1, different kinks such as Bl00d. DP. DVP. Magical aspects to the spice.

Cant wait for book 3.

Demons and Destinies is book two in the corrupt carnival series by T.R. Oldin. I’ve been so super excited about this.

In book two, we meet Rai, the daughter of storms. She is everything... she’s strong, passionate, sassy, and so much more. Her background and how she became who she is really stood out... Her familiar, Paradox the hell hound, kept me laughing throughout. He really is a starring character in this book. 🥹🥹

Rai is also matched perfectly to the MMCs; the Oni twins, Zavian, and Kieres. The boys are literally like fire and water. One runs so hot, full of fire and chaos, and the other is peace and calm. They complete each other as twins, but where does that leave space for a bonded mate? – I loved their story and how different they are from each other. It really brings together the whole relationship.

Their story is one that really makes you feel their pain and the suffering they went through, but Rai makes it all better with time. 🥹🥹 and the spice? Holy hell, is it hot.

The plot for this book really kept me intrigued and unable to put it down. I love how all these books take place in the same realm and how they interact with each other but are still their own story. I can’t wait for book 3! I’m really excited to see how the story pans out!!

This was so good it’s a dark, spicy PNR with a fierce witch whose goal is to keep the balance in the realms and twins who have been put through the wringer finally getting a chance at happiness. These characters were great Rai is fierce and sassy and after being isolated for so long it was good to see her begin to open up and see how accepting her found family is. I enjoyed the twins they are protective, resilient and fighters they never gave up on one day being free of the torment they were forced to endure for so long and it was good to see them be able to stick it to their tormentor with the one person they never thought they’d be able to find. I also loved the carefree relationship they had with Evolet and seeing the little pranks they were pulling on each other. Their ending was well deserved after all the they’ve been through and I can’t wait for the next book, also I hope we get more of Paradox his pov tickled me.

ARC Review | Demons and Destinies – T.R. Oldin
Book 2 in the Corrupt Carnival series and… wow. I honestly didn’t think it could match the energy of book 1, but it delivered—maybe even doubled down (iykyk).

Let’s talk about the Oni twins. Literal perfection. Total opposites, yet somehow fit together so perfectly. And while I never play favorites (cough Zavian cough—I’m weak for the unhinged MMCs), Rai? Yeah… full-on book girlfriend crush status unlocked.

She’s fierce, unbothered, and absolutely chaotic—in the best way. A badass FMC who doesn’t back down, throws punches like a pro, and keeps our favorite twins in check. The three of them together? Chef’s kiss—a spicy, chaotic, perfect trio.

This book is hot, but the plot still slaps. I’m hooked, obsessed, and already counting down for Lilu and her bond’s story. If you love dark magic, mayhem, spice, and a wildly addictive plot—add this to your TBR ASAP.

"That's it, Little Spark. Make your sin drip down my chin and tell me I'm not your perfect mate."

Book 2 in the Corrupt Carnival series and TR does it again. This book focuses on Rae, the Daughter of Storms, and the exploration of her mate bond with Zavian & Kieres as truths of their pasts begin to unravel.

The humor in this book and the banter between the MMCs will have you going from kicking your feet as you swoon to laughing your ass off and crying actual tears.

With lots of double penetration and pierced peen, join Rae as she embarks on her love journey with one mate while the other is determined to reject her.

Paradox the hellhound, however, stole the fucking show and needs his own book IMMEDIATELY.

Kinky AF as always, Rae must seek help from The Fates to save her new family from the ultimate destruction - Lucifer.

I thought book 1 was great, but this somehow surpasses it. It's full of personality and banter with a good balance of plot and spice. I was laughing the entire time.

Zavian and Kieres may be twins, but they are complete opposites in personality, and their energies bounce off each other brilliantly. The inner thoughts of Zavian were adorably psychotic.
Rai is a strong, independent woman, and she takes no crap from the boys, happy to give them a zap with her lightning if needed!

Their journey to a HEA after some heartbreaking beginnings was emotional, and i'm glad they managed to find their inner peace and balance with each other.

And of course, Paradox, the Goodest Boy, stole the show.

I love this book so much! These three are a great combination!!! I also loved that we got to see & hear more from the characters from book 1. I really enjoy the world that is being built, it was expanded from book 1.

Rai, Zavian & Keires all have traumatic pasts.
The insults that Rai & Zavian throw at each other are hilarious and unique! Zavian funny comments about licking had me busting up laughing
Rai & Keires are adorable together.
The spicy scenes were hot🔥🔥🔥 these 3 are 🥵🥵🥵 together!!
I love that the author made the clown like creatures universally feared, even God & Lucifer thought their creation was a mistake 😂
The three of them give each other shit and rile each up. Their relationship is fun, funny, & damn sexy. They build each other up & make them whole.

I was instantly sold.

This was a great book! It’s MFM, fated mates and spicy. Rai is amazing! Such a strong and sassy fmc. I mean lightening mommy, hello!? Yes. I love Kieres and Zavian too! They’re pretty different. Grumpy x sunshine vibes with them. The growth was amazing and they’re both intense I just loved it!

Friendships in this book were great! Also gotta love Paradox, the goodest boy ever! I really just loved this book. If you want a witchy, spicy, MFM pick this one up!

I absolutely can not get enough of The Corrupt Carnival. Rai is a baddie and the chemistry she has with Kieres and Zavian is, just wow. 🤩 This was an emotional roller coaster, they’ve all been through so much and Paradox is just so funny no lie. They have this perfect Chaos that blends so well together. Lots of banter and spice, as well as spicy personalities. I loved that this was their story but it still blended well overall where the first book in the series left off. There’s still is power struggle, and bless do I love getting to see all the growth between characters.

This series is quickly climbing to the top of my all time favorite reads!

Thank you to TR for allowing me an opportunity to receive an advanced copy of this story!

Demons and Destinies is an intense, emotional, and wildly entertaining sequel that builds perfectly on book one (which you must read first!). Rai, the fierce Daughter of Storms, is everything I love in a heroine—strong, determined, and deeply human beneath all that power. Her bond with the twin demon princes is full of tension, spice, and emotional depth. Kieres brings calm and warmth, while Zavian is chaotic in the best way—and yes, I fell harder for both.

The worldbuilding keeps expanding in amazing ways, and the banter had me laughing out loud. Shoutout to Paradox, the cinnamon roll hellhound familiar—his POV chapters were such a fun surprise!

T.R. Oldin’s storytelling gets better with every book. This one is packed with magic, heart, and just the right amount of heat. I’m obsessed and already counting down to the next!

💙Demons and Destinies⚡️

5/5⭐️

YESS GIVE ME MORE!! This series just keeps getting better by the minute of course everything is setting up for the greater plot but to see all the little pieces fit is so satisfying. Something I was obsessed with was having an enemies to lovers and an insta love dynamic at the same time since it’s MFM and fated mates/ Rejected Mates we got to see both and all the angst it come with! 🥹😭🫶 Having BAD ASS FMCS is always epic and my girl RAI did not disappoint I admired everything about her she’s an ICON! DAUGHTER OF STORMS!!⛈️ also the descriptive circus performance was art, beautiful loved it !!😭😍 Can’t wait for the next one ❤️
