Etienne Turpin is a philosopher studying and designing knowledge infrastructure among complex urban systems. He is a Research Scientist with the Urban Risk Lab at MIT, where he coordinates the Humanitarian Infrastructures Group. He is also a Visiting Research Fellow at NTU CCA Singapore, founding coordinator of the Urban Lab Network Asia, and founding director of anexact office, his design research practice based in Jakarta, Indonesia. he is the editor of Architecture in the Anthropocene and co-editor of Art in the Anthropocene and Jakarta: Architecture+Adaptation.
