Vigil

A perfect day for wake-boarding on the lake turns into a nightmare for four friends and one family when Justin miscalculates during an adventurous manoeuvre. His grief-stricken family keeps a bedside vigil, waiting anxiously for Justin to regain consciousness. His mother, who refuses to leave his bedside, recounts for him, the big and small moments of his life, those special events, the funny and sad, that have formed him into the fun-loving, optimistic young man that he has become. She is convinced that this is what it will take to bring him back to her - a mother's love.

I'm addicted to writing. I've cut my writing teeth on my other lives as a mother and school teacher - plenty of writing fodder there! And on my other other life as an educational writer - mostly Science and Biology. I write adult and children's fiction. I've written a couple of novels, some children's stories and lots of short stories for adults.

Writing is my therapy! It makes me calm and happy; it forms me into a better person.
