I actually really had fun with this one. I loved the plot, always love it when the MC is the target, makes it really interesting.
Cassius *sigh*
Brad remains the man I am routing for the most, and now I'm worried Sadie and him won't be partners forever, I hope they can stay partners somehow when he gets in the BAU possibly or they at least keep in contact somehow....maybe if he's in the BAU him and Sadie can be together since they wouldn't be partner's anymore and that's mainly what's stopping them?
Also, the twist on the killer got me, really wasn't expecting that.
Looking forward to seeing how the next book goes, especially with the next case. And hopefully we don't lose Brad, but it will be interesting to see Sadie work alone.
I really enjoyed the first three books, but found this one a little disappointing. Almost all of the investigating was done by forensics and the cyber group. All of the books have been a little light on investigation, but this one was worse.
In addition, Sadie seemed a little extra obnoxious. The FBI was stupid in how they handled one issue. I won't state what as to not spoil it.
The last 20% or so saved the book from being a total loss. I hope the next one is better.
Really enjoyed the inventive way the murder club used to kill those they had resentments against. Also thought Tyler and his tracking of information informative and so interesting. He was a learning experience for me. I would have liked it better if it didn't seem to be confused as to weather it wanted to be a relationship story or a murder mystery. Sadies behavior as an FBI agent was hard to accept. Its hard to accept that the FBI would allow some of this. She is at the point for me where she is getting annoying with her words and behavior.
SPOILER: Didn’t care for how the heroine’s loss of virginity was written. For me, it wasn’t very clear. she was a virgin until almost the moment. The guy saying he didn’t know? Really?? No evidence on the sheets? And taking her ‘love’ interest to a cabin in the woods where certainly you knew the killer would find them was questionable. While there was much more to this book than that scene, that storyline seems such a pivotal part of the character’s growth. It came across forced. Just ick all the way around.

This series is addictive, you just don't think the next book will outdo the previous book and it goes and blows you out of the water. The characters are adversarial and have a love hate relationship while the plots are complex and have just enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Once you start, it is hard to put these books down.
Sadie is maturing as an FBI agent without losing her smart mouth. The dialog is so fast and unexpected it eases any tension built up from the horrendous criminals they face. Learned much about the way cyber and AI can be used. Did not see the end coming. If you have read the first 3 you know the violence can be descriptive. A book you can't put down.
Just when you think a book can’t get any better, it does. Don’t miss a single book from this author. I promise you won’t be sorry. You may have a nightmare or ten though.
So glad I found this author. He keeps you enthralled and captivated with everything he writes…I love this series, It just gets better and better with each new book. A must read for sure. You will be hooked and anxious for the next book.
The writing is stellar! The characters are well written and the story keeps you hooked! Sadie Gray has quite a way of serving justice, Cassius needs to help her moral compass along with Brad.
This is an "oh ,no, not again story. You feel that she just can't get a break. Don't expect any warm fuzzy moments in this story just action. If you read till the end you will understand the title.
I really enjoyed reading this series of murder mysteries.. The character's all are relatable and keep the read interesting.. I found myself looking forward to the next book
The F-Bombs are too frequent in the last two books, and I hope they taper off. Too degrading for a first class Sadie Gray novel. They are lowering your dialogue.
