Murder and a Margarita

Rate this book
When Clementine Honeycutt's boss falls dead, it's all hands on deck to solve her murder before the dinner rush.

Good thing it's just a team-building exercise for the employees at a beachfront cafe. The worst thing that could happen is Clementine accidentally breaking a glass or two...again.

With the suspects assembled, is it the bartender with a jagged white scar across his nose? Head chef with a long french braid of red hair and redder cheeks who makes a mean brunch? Monotone waiter with an excellent memory? Charming retired boxer?

It's a brunch to die for, and the proof is in the...eggs benedict. Cheers!

Murder and a Margarita is part of the A Sunrise Cafe Cozy Mystery series. In this cozy mystery novella, the staff of the Sunrise Cafe hold a murder mystery dinner. Will they be able to find the murderer before time runs out?

This was a fun, very short cozy mystery that seems to be a good introduction to this series. I haven’t read any of the books from the series yet, but this was still a fun read. It’s only three chapters long which makes for a quick read. I liked the characters in this book and look forward to getting to know them better in the rest of this series. There isn’t much to this book, but it was a good mystery. If you are looking for a full blown cozy mystery, just know this is probably not the book for you, but if you want a short mystery that is a teaser to a longer series this is a good choice.

It's a short story. A quick and easy mystery when someone is killed in the cafe.

Don’t bother. It’s a mystery, but there is no way for the reader to try to solve it. I read through to the end and still don’t know why the culprit committed the act.

Interesting take on a murder mystery. Lots of suspicious characters.
