Counterfeit Crystals

Familiar Kitten Mysteries #28

by Sara Bourgeois

Brighton thought keeping magic hidden in a town that forgot it existed was her biggest challenge. Then Rebecca Porter turned up dead.

Hours before her murder, the ruthless real estate mogul discovered something in Coventry's history - something she really wanted Brighton to see. Now those documents are missing, along with any trace of what made Rebecca Porter reach out to a stranger for help.

As Brighton peels back the layers of small-town secrets and lies, she realizes this isn't just about a murdered developer. Someone will do anything to keep their secrets buried. With only her enigmatic familiar Meri to trust, Brighton must expose a killer before she becomes the next target.

But in a town where nothing is what it seems, who can you trust when even magic can't save you?

Not up to the series

Have enjoyed all the previous books but had to force myself through this one, hoping for a twist. I hope she returns to Kinsley and her girls and magic

Counterfeit Crystals

This is so sad that the magic is all gone except for a few. Will they ever recover it? That’s what makes this series so great.

Title didn’t seem to match story

I kept looking for the counterfeit crystals but I must have missed something. Maybe the next installment will help clarify things
