Rate this book
Twenty year old Serenity always dreamed of being a veterinarian. She's always been the good girl. The one people could always count on, but that changes after her girlfriend makes a bet that she shouldn't have. Draven is a lone wolf, he has been on his own since his parents died when he was 16, he found his home amoung the freaks, the performers, the traveling carnies and lives his nights as a funhouse horror clown. He thought his life was complete until a short, dark haired stranger made a bet he couldn't refuse. Now his only hope is to keep the prize she gave away.

A very quick and captivating read — and as a lover of carnival and clown-themed dark romance, I couldn’t resist this one. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. While a bit predictable, it was undeniably entertaining.

I do wish the FMC’s inner conflict had been explored more before meeting Draven. A glimpse into her darkness prior to their connection would’ve made her attraction to him feel deeper, more inevitable — the kind of pull born from shared corruption. As it stands, the chemistry works, but it lacks a little emotional gravity.

The spice is absolutely there, though. This leans far more toward erotica/smut than a plot-driven story. There’s minimal character development, but the twists and carnival atmosphere make up for it.

If you’re drawn to carnival-set stories drenched in desire, this one’s worth picking up. It’s not dark in the truly depraved sense — think of it as a gentle initiation into the darker side of romance. I’ll definitely be continuing with the series.

I love me an Insane Clown Posse reference🤭

Honestly I should’ve read this in the summer because it gave all the great summer carnival night feels

I loved the first 50-60% of the book but things just fell flat for me from there

Carnie Love

Not what I was expecting based off of the cover. Not as dark as I wanted it to be either. Instant love/obsession. What else can you expect with a quick read? Obsessed MMC falls for cutesy FMC with a twist.

Definitely picking up the next book in the series.

Hot, short read!

This short story was a little crazy, a little adventurous, and super steamy! It didn't take me long at all to read and I enjoyed the characters and their world so much, I'll definitely check out the next few short stories in this series. Can't wait!

Hmmm spicy good read! Loved reading Serenity and Draven’s love story. Think I will be looking at those creepy scary clowns in whole new light.
