A Festive Delight

When it comes to Holiday Romances, few authors can weave the perfect blend of humor, heart, and heat quite like Olivia Noble. In her latest book, "How to Lose a Grinch in 12 Days", we're treated to a charming tale of love, redemption, and Christmas cheer that had me laughing, crying, and swooning equally.

From the moment Gloria decides to reclaim her life after her boyfriend, Advent Snow, misses their anniversary dinner, I was hooked. The premise of Addy’s quest to win her back with twelve clever gifts is both endearing and hilariously over-the-top. The Christmas puns sprinkled throughout had me laughing out loud ... Olivia Noble's knack for humor is truly a gift in itself!

What sets this book apart, though, is its emotional depth. There was one scene that had me reaching for my Kleenex. It’s a beautiful balance of sweet romance and the kind of emotional resonance that makes you feel deeply connected to the characters.

Overall, Olivia Noble did it again... this book is a delightful Holiday Romance that checks all the boxes: humor, heart, and heat.

The male love interest was unlikable, from his job in crypto and cybertruck to his love bombing and talk of claiming the FMC. The book does mention a lot of the red flags and concerns I have throughout about 12 days being wholly insufficient for a person to change and actually uphold those positive changes. Gloria stupidly went back to him after just two days of him making efforts. If he hadn’t had the means to buy her so much stuff and completely love bomb her, then she might’ve had the space to consider the positives in their relationship and whether she really wanted to stay. The book doesn’t actually get into any of the reasons why he’s a good boyfriend besides buying her things and making grand gestures and promises to change.
Her friends were right from the beginning but all of them gave in too easily. Even for a novella there was not enough time put into why we should care about the loser ex and root for him.

There were some great puns though.

🎄✨ Gloria thought their third anniversary would be the turning point. After three years with Addy—who’s been increasingly absent despite living under the same roof—she plans a romantic dinner and marks the date in his calendar. One last chance to show up… and he doesn’t.

🎁 Fed up and heartbroken, Gloria finally walks away—with a little help from her ride-or-die besties. But Addy isn’t ready to let go. Cue his quirky, heartfelt attempt to win her back: 12 days of Christmas gifts, each more meaningful than the last.

💚 Can a Grinch really change his ways in just 12 days?

📚 This novella is part of the Snowflake Creek Series, but it reads perfectly as a standalone. Cozy, festive, and full of second-chance charm—and it’s available now on Kindle Unlimited!

fun holiday read

Advent hasn’t been treating Gloria right. In fact after 3 years he’s been totally ignoring her. When he doesn’t show up for their anniversary dinner that’s it and she leaves him. That wakes him up. This is a fun holiday read with Advent doing his best to prove to Gloria that he is the man for her.

This is a quick and easy read that you just can't miss

The story starts out on a serious note and then becomes so fun to read. The author takes you through the song the 12 days of Christmas but they . the normal things of those in the song. I like this book I like the way the author writes it and the characters within the pages.

Unwanted spicy scenes

I thought I was going to like this book but I don't like explicit spicy bedroom scenes. I don't appreciate not being told that I was reading soft porn. No thank you!
