Thank you Alana for the opportunity to ARC read for you again! 🫶🏻 I read this whole thing in two days time and boy, what a ride it was!

The small, quiet moments between Catalina & Lucifer are always relatable on a real life context for me personally, and I love to see that in books. And their banter? 🤌🏻 Always living for it between the two of them. Cat's struggle as well with her drinking through the first book & the reflection on it continued into this one with her growth in regard to that is beautiful. As a person who is a recovered alcoholic, it created another level to relate to the FMC that not many books do give.

I absolutely lived for the unhinged feralness of our FMC/MMC duo in this book. And yes, I'm talking about the spice AND the m*rdering/fighting. "I think I rather like the look of the blood of our enemies on you, it really brings out your freckles." SHUT THE FUCK UP. 👹

I'm super invested in the way this book wrapped up, the world building really upped itself in this installment and can't wait to see what happens in the finale.

Spice: 2.5/5

This sequel delivered a thrilling ride, diving deeper into Catalina’s background and showcasing her growth alongside the ever-compelling Lucifer. His “soft only for her” demeanor was a highlight, even if his overprotectiveness occasionally bordered on overbearing. Still, his willingness to compromise for Catalina’s happiness added a touching layer to their dynamic. While a few slower moments slightly disrupted the pacing, the constant underlying tension kept the story engaging. And that cliffhanger? Absolutely brutal, with jagged rocks of anticipation waiting below. I’m counting down the days to book three, because it’s clear all hell is about to break loose (pun totally intended).

This is how a sequel should be delivered! However, my heart is still hurting from the cliffhanger, need the next book now but at the same time I am sad it would end.

The character's growth and background are perfect, which makes the characters even more lovable in all aspects. Lucifer, my man, love how protective he is and “soft only for her” was everything it needed to be.

I went through a rollercoaster ride; my emotions were jumping one after the other. I am still speechless, and I have been thinking real hard about how to make a good review, but I can't say much more.

Please read these books, they are amazing. They own me now.

Thank you thank you, and a million times, thank you so much @aphauthor for giving me the chance of being an ARC and part of your team.

Deliver Us from Evil is a dark, gripping rollercoaster that had me hooked from the first page. With a brooding atmosphere, complex characters, and a romance that burns slow but intense, this book perfectly balances suspense and emotional depth.

I loved how she explores themes of redemption, trust, and the blurred lines between good and evil. The chemistry between the leads was electric, and the tension—both romantic and erotic—kept me turning pages late into the night.

The writing is immersive, the stakes are high, and if you love a morally gray hero and a heroine with fire in her veins, this one’s for you.
Dark romance lovers, don’t sleep on this! 🖤✨
But so you know: It ends on a hugeeee clifhanger. I can't wait for the next book!!!

This book took me by surprise in the best way. It had me gasping, biting my nails, covering my eyes, yelling, and even crying at one point. Some of these scenes replayed in my head throughout the day they were that intense. I loved getting to know these characters on a deeper level. The main characters have been through so much and learning even more about their backstory opened up a door to show you just how strong they truly are. This book was filled with romance and spice mixed with gore, war, and some torture.
This ending hurt. I saw some of it coming and then BAM, I was slapped in the face. I was fuming by the end and now I must wait for book three.

Wow!!! I did not see that ending coming. Parts of it yes, but some of it. Dang! So good. Loved all the spice, the relationship between Lucifer and Catalina is beautiful. The ways he spoils her, excellent. Love the way Lucifer and Gabriel are becoming close again. The side characters are all so well rounded. Hate the douche canoe Andras. And I wanna have words with Catalina's mom 😡😡

The wait for book three will be torture worthy of Lucifer himself lol

This book was a great follow up to the first one. It was very interested to learn more about Lucifer and his friends. And his role as king. Also liked getting to know more about Catalina’s past. The more I learned the more I loved her. And hated her mother. Already need to know how the trilogy finishes.

Did it really have to end like that ? I feel empty because it’s over and can’t handle this. I need to know what happens next. My heart is pulled in two directions. This reeled me in from the very beginning and I have a feeling it’s only going to destroy me even more in the next one 💥

I’m so happy to have Catalina and Lucifer back in my life! This book had everything you want. Spicy? Check. Drama? Check. Battles/War? Check. An amazing found family? Check. All the love for the side characters? Check. Lucifer will have you melting on the floor by the first few chapters and never wanting to leave this story land.

Lead Us To Temptation, was my first book I ever reviewed, so this series holds a special place in my heart. Now 7 months later, book 2 is here and is just as good as the first!

Book one ended on a cliff hanger, and I couldn’t wait to dive back in! The sequel delved deeper into their backstories, and the chemistry and bond between Lucifer and Catalina just melts my heart. On the flip side, the hatred I feel towards Micheal and Catalina’s mom is something I’ve never felt before.

Alana really knows how to write cliffhangers that hook you and need you wanting more. Don’t mind me, I’ll just be over here waiting for book three…

ARC REVIEW

Thank you to the author, Alana Powers, for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader for her book❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/5

Deliver Us From Evil had a deeply emotional romance at its core, with compelling characters and a dark, possessive/obsessive love that completely hooked me. The story picks up after the events of the last book, following Michael’s warning, as everyone decides to finally return to their home—Hell. We also see how Lucifer and Catalina try to navigate their lives together in this new environment, surrounded by people they’ve come to see as family🥹🥹

Catalina has always been one of the fiercest women—even as a child—and she continues to be that way as an adult. I love how she stands up for herself and refuses to take any bullshit, especially from Andres (ugh, I hate that guy smmm). Also, her love for books? It's so fucking relatable🥰

“Touch him and it’ll be the last thing you ever do.”

Now, as for Lucifer… that man. He’s so obsessively in love with Catalina it’s insane, and in the best way. Definitely the Devil, just like everyone says. I’ve loved his character since the moment he was introduced, and now we finally get to see a side of him no one’s seen in a long time. He’s found love, has a family to protect, and a kingdom to rule. The proposal scene? It was ICONIC. The Devil was nervous. He was nervous OMFGGG—🤭

“This is my kingdom, my sanctuary, my church, and threatening what belongs to me is a sin punishable by death.”

Catalina and Lucifer’s relationship—their chemistry, their fierce love, the possessiveness that goes both ways—it’s one of the biggest highlights of this book. And the fact that they got married?? YAYYYYYYYY. I'm sooo happy for them!🤗

Also, I loveeee Gabriel. He’s so pure and sweet (though I definitely feel bad for him during some scenes when Lucifer and Catalina are... yeah... very occupied😝). Lilith is another badass woman—and I absolutely loved her friendship with Catalina. On top of that, the growing father-daughter relationship between Catalina and Cain? They’re both clearly trying, and I hope they find some sense of peace and normalcy in the future🥺

The themes of trauma, power, autonomy, and healing were depicted thoughtfully and handled with sensitivity. The battle scene had to be one of my favorite parts and it was so well-written and intense, I loved every second of it (it was hella brutal wtf😩)

And I can’t stand Michael and Catalina’s mother. I HATE THEM SO MUCH. With my whole chest. And that cliffhanger??? Wtf was that??? I feel so bad for all of them. I need the next book NOW!😖

If I had one critique, it’s that I just wanted more. More world-building (because it’s fantasy and the setting deserves that depth), and more plot development in some areas. The internal monologues were a bit too frequent and dragged the pacing a little. But overall, the author did a great job and I’m so excited to see where this story goes next💖

“Even if we are the only ones who know, we will change our story. Together.”
》“Together.”
