Yankee Driver
By W.E Butterworth

W.E Butterworth does a great job explaining a scene in a book and it is hard to get lost, and he does a really good job of knowing the facts of what he is talking about. Some of the time all you hear is about is the main racers that win a lot, and are apart of the big time teams that have a lot of money. This book shows the reader the true way of being successful, and how far it can take you in life. There is a lot of different parts that affect the reader and that keep the reader wanting more.

This is the first novel I have read by Butterworth but I really liked it a lot. There are a lot of ways to live by and key points in this novel. One key point that I really liked is when Mark gets fired and his good friend Jonny gets a lot madder than Mark. After mark got fired he got a lot of his last paycheck and he got a lot more money for not saying that he got fired. When he got his check for it all and what he did is started his own race car and he did it all by himself and his head mechanic. What really makes this novel stick out is when he is racing his old team they let Mark use some of their pit crew, when they let Mark use the pit crew they had a chance when it came down to it Mark was racing his good friend Johnny. When the race is done Mark wins and walked away with a extra eleven thousand dollars more than Jonny. Mark and his head mechanic really bond over everything that happens throughout the novel.

There is a lot of roller coasters with racing and even more with money and with running his own business. I would recommend this book to anyone That likes any type of racing and likes a good uprising story. This book was really easy and it is one book that is hard to get lost and it is really enjoyable. In different parts of the was predictable and some parts of the book you couldn't predict. This is one book that you can’t predict the ending and is one that will stick with you.
