Quick Read

This was a quick 40 min read. It’s a grumpy workplace romance with low spice and a nicely done plot twists that makes you want to read more and see where the story goes. I gave it a 4⭐️ and look forward to Book 2.

This was a super quick read. And when I say quick, I mean under an hour. With that, I expected things to move super quick and the story to not be very deep. The premise is there, and I honestly think it could have developed into a good story. It says it is spicy, but I don't really think there was spice at all. The MMC owns a company, the FMC is his secretary. He goes through a breakup with his girlfriend and then her abusive bf leaves her and instantly the two are saying they love each other. I think the love part could have been left out and the story could have been the boss/employee relationship with some spice, and it would have been much better.

This was a great, quick read. If you’re a fan of grumpy sunshine/ workplace romance, with a little protective vibe, this is for you! In a few short chapters, the author developed the characters and the plot very well. I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
