Okay I might be a little biased, but this short story collection is fantastic. Received and reviewing as a contributing author, but not my own story, Death and Second Chances.

A Song of Devastation and Devotion is a quick tale of music, adoration, commitment, compulsion, and love. Loved the main character of Thea!

Vows is a beautiful story of grief and love, and losing your loved ones in battle. It's a topic often unexplored in fantasy, it was very intimate and poetic.

Jebediah is a RIDE. It's such a unique fantasy short following an elf who catches her mate. Multiple laugh out loud moments. This is really light-hearted and good fun.

Crushed Starlights gave me big cosy fantasy vibes. I adore an orc love interest, and getting the perspective of a druid tending her flowers was beautiful. The dynamic between the main characters was really cute.

The Path of the Monk is such an interesting story. I loved how the main character struggled with devotion to his monk promises and living a normal life with feelings, emotions, and love. Really enjoyable!

An enchanting Romantasy anthology featuring indie authors around the world. I am obsessed! Each story has a unique voice and style, creating a beautiful tapestry of diverse storytelling. Some tales will stick with me and made me laugh and smile.

Whether you love epic romances, whimsical adventures or heartwarming tales, there’s something for everyone in this anthology. It’s a perfect palette cleaner and an escape into a world of magic and fantasy, crafted by talented debut authors. Pick up a copy - you won’t regret it.

Fave moments :

“Well, I think he pulled through!”

“Well, shit. As if saving the world from total annihilation wasn’t enough, now Rivine had to deal with… feelings.”

Although this is not quite my taste in genre, the stories were interesting and lighthearted. There is a specific audience who I know will truly appreciate the characters and stories. Each story explored the fantasy world and built it up with depth and likable characters.

New loves, and old loves, and fae oh yes! This anthology was such a fun read. Each story had such unique tones and voices that made it really enjoyable and exciting! You have moments where you could blush, or giggle, or have your heart strings tugged on!So, whether you read the entire anthology all once or take your time, it’s awesome (I couldn’t stop reading it when I started). When I finished the book I was left with multiple new authors to follow, and I am excited to read their stories! I won’t share which ones were my favourite, but I will say it wasn’t easy to pick!

Definitely worth the read!

I came to this collection curious. My first real dip into stories that promised a little heat alongside fantasy, and while I found the warmth I was looking for, I also found something I didn’t expect. Heart. Connection. Stories that linger after the last page, not because they’re loud, but because they’re true.

The opening tale, A Song of Devastation and Devotion, surprised me in the best way. I went in expecting sparks, but what I found was quieter, a dance between a bard and a succubus that lives in the space between desire and devotion. It isn’t a story that rushes to the end. Instead, it stays with you, humming just beneath the surface.

Then there’s Zebediah, about an orc and a shopkeeper. Soft, tender, the kind of story that wraps around you like a favorite blanket. No grand declarations, just two people finding each other in the ordinary. It was, quite honestly, adorable.

And the final story, penned by Mandy, holds something personal for me. Set in a world I helped create, a world I know like the lines of my own hands, it felt like coming home, but through someone else’s eyes. There’s magic in that, seeing familiar places reflected back at you, slightly changed.

It’s hard to pick favorites in a collection like this. Every story offers something different, a different shade of connection, a different rhythm. And that’s what makes it special. This is a book for anyone standing at the edge of something new, wondering if they’re ready to wade into deeper waters. The heat is there, but it’s the tenderness that stays. The sense that love, like adventure, is as much about possibility as it is about the moment.

What a wonderful escape this anthology is. Every story brings something different to the table in the sphere of love and makes for an excellent combination of bite-sized bliss. Each tale ends, and you yearn for more. Perhaps one day we'll get an An Adventurer's Guide To Love Part Two (wink wink nudge nudge).

All the authors did a magnificent job in putting this together, and I'm so excited to see what comes next for you.

I'd also be remiss not to mention how proud I am of my better half, Mandy S. Knight, and her publishing debut within this tome of enchantment. What a surreal and wondrous feeling it is to read your words in a book, your story is just beginning, and I couldn't be more excited to be at your side for it <3

Thank you to Treat Your Geek for everything that you do!

What a beautiful collection of stories of surrendering yourself to love in all its forms. Each story had characters that struggled if they were worthy of love or giving in to their desires and it was amazing to read. I had originally bought this book to support my friend who is one of the authors, so I read her story first, but then I just went back and finished the rest - so so good!
