Bajka, happy end za sve, simpa zmaj i jedan još simpatičniji mačak. :)

I didn't realise that this was book 2 of a trilogy but it looks like they are only loosely connected so I don't think not having read the first book did this any harm as a standalone read.
The illustrations drew me to the book but the story was also interesting and well told. Kevin makes a journey across the kingdom of Lugin to get healing water from the Queen's Well for his sick mother, accompanied by his cat Tomas. On the way he finds a wizard's cloak and accidentally summons a dragon using a fire charm he remembers his great-grandfather saying. The young queen has recently come of age and has summoned the banished wizards for their advice. When Kevin arrives alongside them, can he find advice for the queen, and what will the other wizards think of his wearing one of their cloaks? (The secret of the cloak was a sweet surprise). A nice story.

A great book to read to children at their bedside.
Read
November 29, 20172000. Fantasy 3. Read aloud. A boy who finds magic within himself to become great. Longer short story so could easily split up and read in sections.
