At first, I was hesitant to pick this book up right away—not because I thought it might flop, but because I knew it was gonna slap so hard, I almost wanted to save it for later. I checked and saw the author only has four books out and I’ve already read one… but let’s be real—I’m not that “save the best for last” girl anymore. Not after what life’s taught me. What if I die tomorrow and never get to read this book? Dramatic? Hell yeah. That’s just who I am. 💀😌
Same thing happened here as it did with the first Brother Lovers book—those steamy scenes had me literally shivering. Not exaggerating. It was filthy, intense, and sexy as fuck. It felt like Nova wrote this just for me—every micro trope and kink that makes me weak was in here, and she nailed every damn one of them. ✨️🧎🏻♀️

This Valentine's, Issac plans to make Kit finally his. If it takes some "sabotaging" of a bf, so what? These 2 were so hot, I loved Kit's gift 🤣. If I've a beau, I'm stealing that prompt idea! I loved the first book in the series but not this one. In fact, from a certain point I skimmed to the end, just to see if Kit would come to his senses and tell his psychotic twin to get lost.
Look, there's no such thing as psychotic-but-nice-to-me, psychotic-but-would-never-hurt-me or psychotic-but-can-totally-control-it-with-me. These dangerous misconceptions fail again and again IRL. If someone's psychotic, you can't trust them, you shouldn't date them, and you would most certainly not get any kind of HEA with them.
Psychotic main characters make sense in dark erotica, not a taboo fluff-smut like this short. If the author had to include a psychotic main character in their story and they didn't want to write dark erotica, they should have also made a serious effort at a believable redemption arc. This kind of thing might have worked on a longer taboo romance plot. Isaac would recognize the error of his ways, dig up the real reasons behind his anger, violence and possessiveness and deal with them. Most importantly, he would realize he needed to change for Kit's sake (not ). None of that is happening here.
The sex scenes also did not work for me, but I couldn't tell if that was just because I hated Isaac or they were really as cheesy as they seemed.

If someone's psychotic, you can't trust them, you shouldn't date them, and you would most certainly not get any kind of HEA with them.
Psychotic main characters make sense in dark erotica, not a taboo fluff-smut like this short. If the author had to include a psychotic main character in their story and they didn't want to write dark erotica, they should have also made a serious effort at a believable redemption arc. This kind of thing might have worked on a longer taboo romance plot. Isaac would recognize the error of his ways, dig up the real reasons behind his anger, violence and possessiveness and deal with them. Most importantly, he would realize he needed to change for Kit's sake (not ). None of that is happening here.
The sex scenes also did not work for me, but I couldn't tell if that was just because I hated Isaac or they were really as cheesy as they seemed.

🖤 Be Mine is the second book of the Brother Lovers series. It’s not necessarily to read the first book, but if you are like me and nosey as hell and want to know all about the side characters, you should definitely pick up their book.
🖤 I absolutely loved this book! 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend (if you are into 🩸related taboo romances). Issac and Kit are perfect together! Although their story was a bit rough in the beginning, with the taboo nature of their relationship and Issacs extracurricular activities, it was sweet to see them communicate and fight for what they wanted. Ohh and don’t get me started on the spice!! IT WAS SPICY!! I felt so bad for Kit when he was doubting himself, after his boyfriend “dumps” him right on valentines and he was so sad 😭, little did he know his brother had other plans for him 😏. You get to see Issac’s stabby side and see who’s the culprit behind why all of Kits boyfriends suddenly dump him, and I ATE THAT UP like it was the last meal on the fucking planet. OMG and getting to see Aaron and dean again was great! I cant wait to see what else nova has in store for these boys!

The heavens open, and I let out a villainous cackle at the grey sky– always wanted to do that. Then I practically skip to my car with a smile so wide my cheeks ache.
IM SORRY BUT THIS BOOK WAS HILARIOUS. I have so many lines highlighted that it's pretty ridiculous at this point. These two were a joy to read and Issac is absolutely bonkers over Kit that I'm not surprised that Kit can't keep a boyfriend for long. Pretty sure most people would like to keep their faces intact.
The coupons, while hot, were also hilarious with the ex-boyfriend's name casually crossed out 🤣🤣

Mix a twin who's a pastel princess with his slightly unhinged psycho twin and voila! You get one hot novella!! These two were really fun to read about and I loved their dynamic so much!! The twins couldn't be more different but when it comes to the other they're pretty much all in from moment one. If you like a quick read with lots of spice, a bit of unhinged and a lot of fluff, then this one might be for you.
