Cleo was fiery and intelligent, and living on a very dangerous planet with a dangerous secret. Maxym was all traumatized and growly and instantly head over heels for Cleo. While I can Stan I good instalove, I wanted more from these 2. So much of the story was proclamations of undying love where some get to know you questions would have gone a long way.

Revisiting the Gryn gladiators in the dome always allows unexpected things to happen. It was nice to see Maxym’s story amidst all fights and hidden arrangements. Cleo was a spunky addition, seamlessly connecting with Maxim as the action ensued. I enjoyed seeing familiar characters from other branches of this story series come together to deal with a common foe.

Cleo is incredible! She’s brave, strong and resilient. After being taken from Earth and ending up on Trefa, she starts working for one of Tatatunga’s foremost arms dealers. And she’s not only hardworking but also really good at her job. Even more, I loved how kind, compassionate and fierce she is. Cleo is an amazing and admirable woman and I loved her so, so much!
And Maxym is one phenomenal male! He’s huge, strong, lethal, violent, growly, feral and very, very angry. But there’s more to him than meets the eye. Because this winged gladiator is also fiercely protective, caring, deliciously demanding and possessive. And that filthy mouth of his! Maxym’s life in the dome has been anything but easy, but he’s not a male who’d back down easily from any challenges and danger thrown his way. This Gryn warrior is one utterly irresistible male and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Cleo and Maxym! Cleo is sent to the dome to supply weapons for the gladiators fighting in the arena. And the moment Maxym senses her, he knows not only her secret but that the scrappy human is meant to be his. I absolutely adored Cleo and Maxym together! Their chemistry was fantastic from the very beginning and I loved their banters, teasings and all the moments they spent together. I also loved Maxym’s determination and resourcefulness in pursuing, protecting and providing for Cleo. And watching the fearsome Gryn turn into mush for his mate was truly delightful. Even more, the spice was absolutely SPICING with those two and I couldn’t get enough of the passionate moments they shared. Cleo and Maxym were not only wonderful as a couple, but they were also a badass team. They were just so, so perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
In addition, the storyline was phenomenal! The secrets, the non-stop action, the alien invasion, the unexpected discoveries - everything happening kept me glued to the pages till the very end. Even more, I really liked many of the secondary characters and I really enjoyed the unexpected visit from some very familiar faces.
Overall, the story is another remarkable addition to the series! It’s filled with suspense, danger, action, twists, drama, humor, explosions, smoking-hot passion and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!

Cute little feathered male who will do anything for his mate…not so much for everyone else caught in his ire. That’s how I picture the Gryn with their human mates.
This kind of sums it up…
Maxym while Cleo plays with his feathers and turning him into a big giant feather-slush pile:

“Anything she says,” he adds.
While planning some carnage…
Maxym finding Cleo was like a match made in heaven…she works for a weapons dealer, outfits gladiators with weapons, and he uses weapons for violence and unaliving creatures in the Dome. See? Perfect match. Maxym first sees Cleo and knows she’s his. He accepts her pregnancy and calls both of them his. Convincing Cleo is another issue. Eventually they come together, run into a lot of trouble, cause violence in the name of good, and ultimately come out in the end together. And they are so happy.
There were a lot of really good quotes from this book that were hilarious.
I really like how all of the books are intertwined but still fairly standalone.

I love this series. Broken Gryn warrior/gladiator finding his perfect mate to make a nest for.
The worldbuilding was very good. You can feel Maxym's frustration and anger.
I love Cleo's secret. Maxym's protectiveness of her and how they first met. It put a smile on my face how she handled herself with him . He loves weapons and she knows weapons and can handle them very well.
Retah was a surprise . Loved his help with their problem. and who he called to help.

Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better. In this story there are only two Gryn Warriors left to fight in the dome. Maxym, who we have come to know through the previous books, has sensed his mate in the little human Cleo, who is in charge of the weapons that the gladiators will be using in the dome. Their journey together is tumultuous and full of drama and of course sexy times.. I was captivated from the moment I open the first page to the very last, and even then I was left hanging wanting to know what was going to happen to the last Gryn Warrior. You won’t be disappointed with this book, it brings everything to the table.

What a page turner. This fourth installment of the series is the most exciting full of unstoppable action.
We meet some new notable characters and our heroes the Sarkarni come to the rescue with unstable fire power
Draco and his brothers are massive and powerful.
Cleo another human fated to Maxym the gladiator are meant for each other and they fall deeply in love and work together to ensure safety to those they care about

Hattie Jacks’s Chained continues the story of the Gladiators of the Gryn. Cleo was abducted from earth shortly after getting pregnant after having a one night stand and winds up assisting an arms dealer on Trefa where they are hired to provide weapons to the dome gladiators. Maximus is one of the Gryn who fights in the dome and who immediately claims Cleo and the baby as his own regardless of whether Cleo agrees. Then an alien horde attacks their city and the two team up with her boss to repel the enemy while waiting for a mysterious force to arrive. I love when two series come together, and this mash up doesn’t disappoint!

The wrap up is starting for the Gryn. Maxym is suffering the after effects of the blast, from the previous book. He is almost as feral as Klynn. In walks Cleo, a human working for an arms dealer. Someone with a secret of his own.
Cleo has her own secret and no back up plan. Maxym scents her and is calmed. He has a new focus.
This book has plenty of action and heat, as usual. The reader gets a delightful surprise towards the end.
I look forward to the final book of this series, Klynn and his mate.

Kinda disappointing.
I was really looking forward to Maxym. I think my biggest problem was the fmc who had only been introduced into this world a couple months ago and seems to be very settled in. It was hard to connect with someone so chill with aliens and even had a career and can fight. I also wanted more depth from the mmc. I’ve only read this series so a bunch of types of aliens were in it and I couldn’t remember what they looked like so they were just words to me. I felt like if I had read all her other books maybe I’d have a better idea of what was going on.

Things are moving fast in this as Maxym sets his sight on Clio and her unborn baby. Another Grynn turns to mush when he finds his mate.
But then the dome gets attacked and they have to try to escape. A lot of secrets get told as the plot unravels. People aren't who they say they are, others turned out to be alies. So much is revealed in this book. It feels sad knowing this series is coming to an end with the next book.
But i liked the *visit* of a few familiar faces (they never change!)

Maxym was a fierce Gryn who had very little memory of before his life as an unbeatable gladiator. Cleo, abducted from Earth and left on Trefa was a survivor who worked for an arms dealer. It didn’t take her long to learn how to defend herself (she had someone she needed to protect.) Things were going well, until the invasion started. No one was safe. Tempers flair and danger is everywhere. No one was safe. They were vicious and relentless. Nothing seemed to stop them. What were they after?

I am loving these stories of Big , Growly Gryn warriors, as they find their eregri, Fated Mates. Cleo, didn't know that her being pregnant from a one night stand, before being abducted by Aliens was just the beginning of a new way of life for her., Maxym is larger than life, and he claims both her, and her unborn baby as his own, and starts a whole new adventure for her. I can't wait for Klynn's story.

When I learned more about the group dynamics in book 1 Sylas’s story, I thought Maxym would be next. Cleo is different from all the other women, because she was already pregnant when abducted. This fact doesn’t deter how elated Maxym is about the baby. It won’t bother any GRYN.
There is a lot more action here and some running themes are ended. However, do not miss Klynn’s story in Hooded.

Awesome Sci-Fi romance that checks all the boxes: Volatile, Possessive, Protective Alien Warrior and a Feisty, Fierce Humana female who is like a calming balm to the MMC. You get it all: Action, Adventure, Fated Mates, Danger, Spice that's Spicing and a HEA. You can never go wrong with an alien romance by this author because she doesn't miss.

I also loved the cameos from other series, I've always wondered what happened to Baronn, so happy to finally know!

Look I don't want to be a hater but I could not get into this one, it was just SO BLAND to me. Mayxm is just a cocky rage ball with no personality and Cleo is just a pregnant human who likes weapons. They barely bond or have anything in common but suddenly she goes from hating him to begging for his cock ... The story was not gripping to me and even the smut was anticlimactic.

So I love the pregnancy trope it’s my favorite hence why Hattie is one of my favorite authors I’ve read all her books now!
But I really needed that baby to be born in this one. The plot, spice and love was spot on but the birth it would have been epic! Maybe next time! Can’t wait for klynn and Fern!

Totally EXCELLENT Again 😁
This series has been fascinating from the first book to this one 😊. Insane amounts of action, intense situations, nasty bad things, occasional sexy scenes and fan-freaking-tastic characters 😉. Cleo and Maxym have a great story
I had all but given up hope that our Gryn Maxym would ever get out of the dome. Loved how fresh this story was and Cleo's whole role in it. So nice to meet some good guys actually helping people in this story. Love her boss and the cook and the fact that we get to play with the Sarkarnii again just made my day! Great book!

I’m Infatuated
This series just keeps getting better. I’m completely invested in each Gladiator and his pairing. You never know what to expect but are never disappointed. I urge you to delve in. Now, on to the next thrill!

Enjoyed Maxym and Cleo's journey to their HEA. Maxym in love is interesting to read. Who knew there was someone out there to tame the feralness. The two are good together.

I loved Cleo, so brave and clever and full of spit fire. Our Gryn is full of rage and violence. Their meeting was explosive. I can't wait for the next book.
