Divided is a spicy fantasy novel that leaves you wanting more. Katerina (Kat) and Matthew are humans living in a world near the Divide which separates mortal and fae. Kat was once a seamstress who wanted more but when she ruins the Queens dress she is left wondering what she will do next. Kat gets to close to the Divide and meets Garrett who she not only finds attractive and but soon can't stay away from. Garrett realizes that Kat is not just a mortal and he helps her reign her magic in prompting the fae Queen to become jealous.
The Divide is a spicy fantasy that hits you like a freight train. Their is no slow burn in this story so be ready. I enjoyed the characters and seeing Kat learning who she is and how to navigate her magic. I wasn't expecting the ending and I wonder what exactly will happen in the next book.
