Between the Barrels

Jamie Wilson has spent her life chasing perfection—on horseback and in life. With the Miss Rodeo America qualifier just days away, she’s determined to prove herself on the circuit. But when her stubborn horse and even more stubborn rival, Madison Parker, collide in an arena of dust and drama, Jamie finds herself facing more than just barrel patterns and pageant waves.

Madi isn’t just Jamie’s biggest competition—she’s a maddening mix of infuriating poise, unshakable talent, and a smile that Jamie can’t seem to forget. When a small-town mishap forces the two rivals into close quarters, the lines between rivalry and something far more dangerous begin to blur. Between stolen glances, cutting banter, and undeniable sparks, Jamie and Madi discover that the road to the crown might just lead them to each other.

Will their undeniable chemistry push them to the edge of glory—or send their carefully balanced world into chaos?

Between the Barrels is a slow-burn romcom filled with competitive tension, unexpected vulnerability, and a love story that’s as electric as a thunderstorm over the open range.

Jamie & Madi - 2.5-3 ⭐️- This was my first full FF romance. It was a good story about rival barrel racers; enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed. My problems with this was that it felt rushed, repetitive, and little background on their lives was shared.
