Rate this book
Imprisoned by a father she never knew. Heir to a throne she never wanted.

Trapped in the midst of the ancient fae army, Kolfinna wants to escape, but the half-elf commander has other plans. He wants Kolfinna to free his wicked queen from her centuries long slumber. A task only she can do--and one with a heavy price.

As she draws closer to freedom, she finds her resolve unraveling. What if everything she knew about the fae was a lie? What if the fae queen’s release is exactly what her people need?

But that would mean betraying everything she’s ever known and the only man she's ever loved.

Caught in the middle of a war between the fae and the humans, Kolfinna must make a decision that will alter the future of the kingdom forever.

The Crown of the Last Fae Queen is the epic finale to the Heartless and the Wicked series.

Still reeling. Still not okay.

"You have occupied my thoughts since the day we left the ruins." he murmured. "I have burned for you Kolfinna."

So excited that Maham Fatemi FINALLY released The Crown of the Last Fae Queen! The last book left me hanging and I need the next book ASAP.

Be forwarned, this series is everything and will take you on a emotional roller coaster.

This book picks up where The Daughter of the Scarred Elf last left off, and let me just say—we are not going into this with a calm beginning. Kolfinna is thrown straight into the fire (literally and emotionally), and the stakes have never been higher for this main character.

Imprisoned by her half-elf father—who also wants her to free her very evil mother or Queen—Kolfinna is faced with impossible choices. You see a lot her wrestle with wanting to be loyal to the humans who kills her kind, or stay loyal to the ones who are Fae like her.

FINALLY, the slow burn that has put me into so much misery is being ignited into more!! This is a closed door romance but it was certainly done very well.

Blár’s arc also took a turn I did not see coming and hit me harder than I expected. I love reading his POV and watching him go through emotional turmoil and his love for Kolfinna.

If you're into romantasy with fae, political tension, family drama, and slow-burn that finally ignite. This series is a must read! This is an amazing series and so worth the time to pick up.

I absolutely love this series!
We are brought back to where we left off in the last book, with Kolfinna imprisoned by her father who plans to use her to free the wicked queen from slumber. Kolfinna does what she can to escape but the more she learns about both the fae and humans the more conflicted she becomes. Trapped in the middle of a war she must make decisions that can change everything.
While a slow burn, closed-door romance it was worth the wait and done so well. Plus I really enjoyed Blar’s POV and being able to see the events unfolding through his eyes.
The cliffhanger has me begging for the next and last book as soon as possible!

A huge thank you goes to Maham Fatemi, for letting me read an e-ARC of The Crown of the Last Fae Queen! This YA fantasy romance is book four in The Heartless and the Wicked series, & I will note that this series was originally meant to be a quartet, but will now actually be a quintet as there’s so much more adventuring still to come.

Kolfinna has been abducted by her half-elf commander of a father, but it’s not to save her from the pending war between humans & fae. Instead, he wants Kolfinna to free the evil fae queen who has been asleep for centuries. But the more time Kolfinna spends with the ancient fae army, the more confused she becomes. Is it possible that everything she’s ever been told was a lie? Who is the real villain in this story, fae or humans? Kolfinna soon discovers that she has only two choices before her: betray the man she loves, or potentially doom an entire race. No matter which path she takes, this kingdom will never be the same again…

The Crown of the Last Fae Queen is a story full of the highest of stakes, emotional heartache & impossible choices. No matter which path Kolfinna decides to tread in this fantasy romance, someone is going to get hurt. And I love how Maham makes this so clear, because you know what? It’s true. In times of conflict, no one is safe. I’m such a fan of the way the plot twists & turns, forever giving you something unexpected!

I’m also so in love with every nuance of the relationship between Kolfinna and Blár, with every glimpse at how deep their love for each other runs. They are one of my favourite fictional couples EVER. And if that doesn't tell you how much I love them, nothing will.

Wow! I'm still reeling from those final pages! Maham Fatemi has done it again. The Crown of the Last Fae Queen is yet another masterpiece in a series that just keeps getting better and better.

Picking up right where the last book left off, Kolfinna finds herself imprisoned by her father, the half-elf commander. He wants her to free his wicked queen, who also happens to be her mother. The queen is known to be cruel, even heartless, which is why Kolfinna is so torn. With savagery running deep in both fae and human bloodlines, she's left questioning where her loyalties truly lie.

“If it wasn’t for my magic, would you even consider me your daughter? If I didn’t have the means to free your queen, would you even want anything to do with me?”

While imprisoned, she is put to training to gain more strenght. As her powers grow, so does her knowledge of the world. Little by little mysteries of her origin begin to unravel, and the stakes become even higher.

And Kolfinna isn't the only one with the ground shifting beneath her feet. Blár's world spins out with a brutal revelation that hits hard.

As for the slow burn, it finally sparks, sparks!

The twists and turns kept me turning the pages well past my bedtime. And the tension, plot-wise, is absolutely gripping. Gods, does this author know how to write it! The way she creates these characters and paints the picture is so stunning. I love her writing style.

I'm recommending this series to everyone! It's a must-read for fans of romantasy (and fae).

Already craving for more…

《 ARC REVIEW 》

“'I know you want me to free your queen.' Kolfinna lifted her chin. She couldn’t show him how shaken up she was in front of him. 'I won’t do it.'”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just finished reading The Crown of the Last Fae Queen by Maham Fatemi, and this is the fourth book in The Heartless and The Wicked series! This book is so ridiculously good, and leaves you on a wicked cliffhanger!

It picks up right after Kolfinna and Blár get separated in the last book, and Kolfinna gets imprisoned by the ancient fae army led by her father, Vidar. He is trying to free his wife, the wicked fae queen, so that they can get revenge on the humans. Kolfinna finds out that as the heir to the throne, she is the only one who can wield the Død Sværd to release the queen, and Vidar will not take no as an answer.

Stuck in an impossible predicament, Kolfinna struggles with the decision of if she should help her father free her mother, or if she should side with the humans. Both sides have let her down time and time again, but now she must think of her human friends and the man she loves.

This book just got released today, and is available to read now!

A huge thank you to Maham Fatemi for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I am so thankful we are going to get another book out of this series because I can't get enough of this world.
This was everything I had hoped this book was going to be and so so so much more. We finally got to see the other half of who Kolfinna is and I only fell in love with her more. It was so nice to finally start to see her saying positive things about herself after some training. I really hope we can see her find her full strength and complete confidence in the next book. This book was focused more on her growth than anything else and I think it was really necessary because I can see she is going to have a lot to accomplish in the finale.
The ending was insane and I am starving for the next book. Please release it (and ten more books set in this world) right now.

I am so lucky and so blessed to have read this ARC, thank you so much to Maham Fatemi!

I was expecting more development for Kolfinas character… it was like a step back for her; more of the same insecurity and nothing of the growth of her powers … and her wings? I hope she have them by the next book
In the last 30% is when you found out of everything; the history of the parents .. what happend (more or less) in the last war
And the cliff hanger at the end? Agrrrrr

Cant wait for the last book
