Dominic Lowing knows stress. He lost his father to a stress-fuelled heart attack, and his own fast-paced career as a lawyer has done little to help. But he knows which coping mechanisms work for him: diet and exercise, of course. And a very active particular sex life.
Fitch Lamont has been working his corner on Wylde Street for two years. Not exactly the direction he saw his life going, but he’s a glass-half-full kind of guy. He has a roof over his head, enough food to eat—sometimes—and two best friends that make it all worthwhile.
When Dominic encounters a rent boy who ticks all his boxes, he decides to make it a regular encounter. But then their arrangement, their personal lives—and feelings—collide in unexpected ways.
Fitch found more than a client in Dominic; he found safe arms and a kind heart. And maybe, if he could let his guard down long enough, he might realise he found his future too.
N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way.
She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who she gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
Po przeczytaniu tej książki zastanawiam się, czy to Walker się tak popsuła czy ja wreszcie dorosłam i zrozumiałam, że ona nie zasługiwała na ten cały hype😵💫
Dominic Lowing is a high-ranking lawyer who lost his father to a stress-fueled heart attack, and his own fast-paced career as a lawyer has done little to help. But he knows which coping mechanisms work for him: diet and exercise, of course... and a very active, particular, sex life. Fitch Lamont has been working his corner on Wylde Street for two years. Not exactly the direction he saw his life going, but he’s a glass-half-full kind of guy. He has a roof over his head, enough food to eat...sometimes...and two best friends that make it all worthwhile. When Dominic encounters the rent boy who ticks all his boxes, he decides to make it a regular encounter. Then their arrangement, their personal lives, and feelings, collide in unexpected ways. Fitch found more than a client in Dominic; he found safe arms and a kind heart. Maybe, if he could let his guard down long enough, he might realize he found his future also. Fitch and Dom’s "Daddy/ boy" dynamic was off the charts and the kinks they explored helped to make another great story by N.R. Walker, who is one of my favorite authors and a very talented writer.
This story of Fitch, the "Rent boy", and Dominic (Dom), the high-priced executive attorney, is really "high heat"...so expect a lot of chemistry, some positive banter and a hot relationship. Also, a bit of a mystery was added in. The entire book is well written, and the dynamic is perfectly balanced, consensual and well presented. We were also given some very sweet moments to add to all the emotions that are to be expected from N.R. walker.
One of the things that really made the story stand -out, was the tough, but necessary, and honest conversations that took place between both men. As their relationship developed and deepened...they spoke about their feelings, both old and new, their professional lives, and especially what the future might/would look like for the two of them. A future that Fitch never thought he would have or was deserving of, and the future that Dom wanted to some much to share with this boy...more than he wanted to take his next breath.
3.5⭐️ As with book one, there’s not much of a plot and it was mainly erotica. That being said- I liked the characters and Fitch was super lovable. This type of relationship dynamic isn’t my thing, but it seemed absolutely fitting for these two characters and what they need. I was happy to see there was a bit more of an emotional connection between these two than in book one.
*I will say- Glen Lloyd’s narration was superb as always 😍🤌🏼
Fitch and Dom 🔥🫠. Even my cynical heart was touched by this super sweet story. I love the way NR Walker brings her characters to life, always layered and quirky. Fitch who is entirely himself, dealt a majorly tough hand in the past but making his way through the world on his own terms. Dom, who has shut off a part of himself for too long until he discovers his dynamic with Fitch is exactly what he needs and falls for him along the way.
I have to say the first book was a mixed bag for me but I enjoyed this one thoroughly - their story doesn’t take off from where book 1 leaves off. Instead it builds on and adds perspective and nuance to the story unfolding in book and then takes it ahead to the happy conclusion of the two while giving us glimpses of Kylan and his two mysterious (but we already know who) daddies.
Fitch and Dom’s daddy boy dynamic was scorching hot and some of kinks they explore are my favourites to read about. This book is high heat, so go in expecting a ton of chemistry, banter and fiery hot attraction. The scenes are so well written and the dynamic is very balanced, consensual and well done. Also there are some very sweet moments to add in the emotion we expect from an NR walker book.
One of the things that stood out for me vs the last book were the tough but necessary conversations both Dom and Fitch have as their relationship deepens, conversations around their feelings, their professional lives and what the future looks like. It left me wondering if this series would have been better as a single book with Multiple POVs vs three books with 2 povs. I can see my self enjoying the third book even more as more nuance reveals itself.
I would definitely recommend giving this a try, if you enjoy reading about a sweet sex worker wanting to be a bratty boy for a growly daddy.
Sex worker+lawyer, daddy erotica. Another sweet, sexy AF, comfort story in this immersive series. Three wonderful friends finding love with the powerful men who fall for them. Fitch and Dom are so delicate and yet so strong together.
The detail in intimacy and unabashed description of the kink (lifestyle/roleplay)is refreshing as well as educating. A lesson in accepting lifestyles we're not accustomed to. I really enjoyed this and can't wait for Ky's story.
Pet peeve:🤔😐Sirs, I have an issue with lack of sufficient prep, I'm putting it down to Fitch's lack of self worth. But as a daddy, Dom should have done better. You are officially scolded🙃
This book is pure vibes, no plot, just spice, and that was exactly what I was in the mood for!
Daddy kink is my favourite kink in romance but ngl, the role playing can be a little cringe sometimes, and it’s the case in this book. It works for Dom and Fitch though, so who am I to judge, right? There’s a bit of age play too, which is something I’m fine with, but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Dom and Fitch are perfect for each other, they meet each other’s needs in the best way and they’re absolute cuties together.
I can’t wait to read Ky and his daddies’ story next. It looks promising!
So we get Dominic and Fitch’s story! I have to be honest plot wise this was lacking a lot. This literally reads like a bonus, free, short story, and it’s pure sexy times, and some tears and declarations, that are way over the top. Insta-love at its best. The daddy boy dynamic was super adorable and cute, I can’t deny that I enjoyed it, and I’m really happy. They ended up together obviously. And even though it was all this, I still can’t wait for the third book. So if you want to enjoy a zero angst, high heat, sexy book, this is the series for you.
NO ONE writes worse "daddy kink" than NR Walker. Like, I literally don't think she's even googled the term because what the actual fuck are you talking about??
I listened to the audio version of this and really enjoyed it. As per usual, Glen Lloyd did a great job narrating this book.
The dynamic in this book isn't always my favourite, but here I loved it! Fitch was such a brat and knew exactly how to rile Dominic up and I really enjoyed that! Fitch was such a great character, and Dominic was the ultimate Daddy. I really enjoyed the side characters as well, it was great to see Nolan and Benji, and now I'm very curious to read Kai's story. This book and Benji's overlap at certain parts so it was interesting to see the same scene from a different point of view. Dominic and Fitch's chemistry was hot, and I really enjoyed how they knew what the other needed and they really understood each other.
Fitch was very funny and I also loved how hearing how hot he thought Dominic was. I loved the outrageos things that came out of his mouth.
All-in-all a fun read(or listen) and I'm really looking forward to Kai's book.
3.5/5. This was a fun story. I enjoyed that it both overlapped and continued Benji’s story. I liked Dom a lot. He was strong and firm but also so sweet and thoughtful. He loved taking care of Fitch and I loved that. Fitch was wonderful too. As always, he’s a delight. He’s fun and open and honest. He’s himself. I liked seeing these two fall for each other. I also enjoyed seeing fitch, Benji, and ky all together. I wish I’d had less repetition and more time to get to know these characters, but I’m still eager for ky’s story.
Notes: 2/5 spice levels, daddy/boy, sex work, jealousy, financial differences, lawyer mc
The jury is still out on this series. If I am honest I am not sure what I really want. I guess I want more of the boys' life. We get just a little snippet here or there that isn't sex. Also part of this book duplicated the story about Benji and getting the guys arrested but from Fitch's POV. I am not sure if the trial is ever going to happen. The next book is Kylan and so I am not sure the end of the trial will appear.
This book is pure filth haha. I'm only mildly joking. This is probably one of the smuttiest books I have ever read by N.R. Walker. And I've read bossy. But even among the really high heat, that arises very quickly by the way, it still has a lot of heart and ends up being a very sweet romance.
I think we all kind of knew that Fitch's book would be the litest. It was going to be the smuttiest and it was going to have the most jokes. Speaking of jokes, the series as a whole is pretty funny but this one is definitely the funniest. Obviously, I haven't read Ky's book yet but I think it's a safe call to make (something tells me that baby's book is going to be sad).
Unless you for whatever reason don't like high heat books or have something against sex workers (which is real work, I don't make the rules) then I really can't see a reason you wouldn't enjoy this book, let alone the series as a whole. It's the definition of a fun smutty romp and I can't find a single fault with it. For that reason, five solid stars.
Also, did I mention this book is filthy? Because I feel like y'all don't understand just how filthy it is when I say that. Like, part of it's expected because Fitch is a rent boy. But I think a good half of this is just smut and or daddy/ boy shenanigans. I'm not upset, far from it. I'm just letting you know, in case you might listen to the audiobook in public like I made the mistake of doing.
This is the second NR Walker book that I dislike. I've read almost all her work by now. This has no story, just bad daddy kink and a weird view of rent boys.
Book two in the series and this time we catch up with Fitch and his Daddy Dominic. Fitch appeared a lot in book one with Benji, his best friend and fellow rent boy, and we got to see that he had a real sassy side to him and no filter.
Dominic is a lawyer and in book one we learn that he works with Nolan who is now with Benji and after visiting Nolan and discovering Fitch there with Benji we find out, Fitch has no filter, that Dominic is the man he has been secretly seeing.
What starts out as Dominic picking up Fitch on the street and paying for sex, leads into them agreeing to an arrangement for two nights a week, where Dom can take Fitch back to his apartment and then we see them role play daddy and dom, which then turns into not role play but a natural development in their relationship which also goes from two nights to three, then four …
Once Dom got over the age gap and let himself fall for the bratty little twink, he found what he hadn’t realised he needed, to love and look after his own boy.
We find out another side to Fitch as well, one that after being tossed away by his parents, craves love and comfort and someone to look after him and he finds the role of daddy’s boy fills all his insecurities.
I am enjoying these rent boys although I think I enjoyed book one more and can’t wait to read Ky’s story next.
Lots of people don't like Daddy kink but I'm not one of them and I loved this story. I rate my stories on how much I enjoyed reading, and since I devoured this story and loved the dynamic between Fitch and Dominic, and there were no major flaws in the story, and it was an N.R. Walker story, it's right up there at 5 stars for me.
Fitch is a great character. I loved not only his sense of humor but also the inner core of strength and resilience he's developed. Dom tries to "do right" by the boy and attempts to hold himself aloof from feeling anything more for his rent boy at the beginning, but he falls head over heels for the young man and I loved the two together as a couple.
All in all a very satisfying read with some overlap to book one. I liked the way the author wove Benji's story in so that someone who didn't read book one wouldn't be lost. Definitely recommended but it's not for those who won't enjoy the kink. Please don't pick this up and then give it a low rating because you don't like a Daddy/boy dynamic. Forewarned is...
Dominik is mid-40s and definitely into younger men, of the twink variety. Fitch is 20, almost 21, and for reasons he describes as “probably psychological”, he’s into older men, of the daddy kind. They strike up a deal for Fitch to spend his Friday nights with Dom each week, but it doesn’t take long for them both to realise how they’re both exactly what the other needs.
Timeline-wise, “Fitch” overlaps some with “Benji”, and some of the events of the first book are repeated in this second book. I didn’t mind that; I found the story interesting, and we got different perspectives when seeing things through the eyes of either Dom or Fitch. As before, this was a fast-paced, quick read. Definitely still a touch of insta-love, but I really like the characters. And after being introduced to some new ones, I’m very much looking forward to Ky’s story in the third book!
This is a rent boy arrangement to more romance, featuring Dominic Lowing and Fitch Lamont, and is book two in the Wylde Street Boys series.
Fitch is a bratty rent boy who works on Oxford street with his to best friends. He has serviced Dom a couple of times close by, however this time Dom asks Fitch if he wants to go back to his place for the night.
The timeline for this book runs along the same time as Benji’s book (book one) so we see some things from Dom and Fitch’s POV. This story is low angst, full of daddy / boy kink and role play, funny at times, sweet at times.
I am really loving this series and Ky’s book is next. Woo hoo!
Things to expect in this book are: Book 2 in series MM romance Set in Sydney, Australia Arrangement to more Lawyer x rent boy Age gap (46/20) Size difference Spicy times & dirty talk Daddy / boy kink Praise kink Lollipops 🍭 Role play Jealous & possessive Bit of drama Admit feelings HEA
Having read book one in the trilogy, I was interested in Fitch and his relationship with Dominic so I was looking forward to reading this. However, there were a number of things that I didn’t enjoy in this story – the sex was on more than one occasion painful for Fitch but he ‘pushed through it’ for Dominic because he wanted to please him. This bothered me because it wasn’t part of their Daddy/Boy dynamic and seemed borderline abusive to me. I understand that Dominic was ‘overcome’ by desire but it became a pattern that bothered me.
This was very much a retelling of the first book but from Fitch and Dominic’s perspective, which left me feeling a lot like I’d already read all of this and not feeling their connection/relationship. I am very much interested in Kynan which is book three so I will finish the trilogy but I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first.
Not really a fan of sex-for-pay stories but it's N.R. Walker so of course I gave it a try. Smut was good, really love this kind of smut and that's what i mostly focused on because I felt pretty icky about their entire "situationship" and the fact that Dom himself said he's into much younger guys. Made me wonder if he'd throw away Fitch the moment he reached certain age? Also felt like we were just thrown right away into the middle of the story. But yeah, sex-for-pay stories aren't really my thing and I suppose this series isn't going to be my cup of tea which is a shame since I love N.R. Walker's stories. On a brighter side tho, I am also currently reading The Men From Echo Creek by N.R. Walker and that story is so much more my style.
This was quick and steamy. I’m not much into the Daddy/boy kink but I think if you are, you’ll probably enjoy this one. There was no shortage of that here.
The first part of the book felt like CliffsNotes for Benji (the first book of the series). If you read this without having read Benji, you might be a little confused. It rehashes the plot of that book without really getting into many details.
The book, in general, felt fairly surface level. The Daddy/boy dynamic was explored a bit but otherwise I felt like I didn’t really know Dom or Fitch very well outside of that dynamic.
I did enjoy the scenes between Fitch, Benji, and Ky. And I’m intrigued by what Ky’s deal is.
I think the book suffered a bit for running alongside the first one. Not many scenes were repeated here but it still felt like we're going over the same issues. I also go into any sex work/porn book hoping for acceptance - personally, I may feel differently but when it comes to fictional characters, I expect nothing but complete acceptance and for them to continue working said job. It's rare. I am not too broken up if the ending is well handled and the guy finds a fulfilling job and leaves of his own volition but this book didn't really meet my expectations/hopes.
Walker is good, but I like her Red Dirt Heart series more than anything else she's written and this book is a simple, nice enough three stars.
Um...this book explores the daddy kink. I didn't really get the whole picture until this book. It's a little weird, but so hot. Fitch is a consenting adult, so it's not gross. Fitch is Benji's friend from book one. He also works as a rent boy. Dominic wants him to be his boy. There's a 26 yr age gap. He pays him to spend 12 hours overnight with him once a week. Fitch is only 5'2" and has big blue eyes, so he fits the role very well. He loves to call Dom his Daddy and he's always pouting and being bratty, but also likes to be a good boy. Holy hotness levels. Dom and Benji's boyfriend are both lawyers and work together. They're rich. In the end, Benji, Fitch and their other friend decide to quit working the streets and start an Only Fans page.
