“What We Share Makes Us Stronger”

Laura Wylde has created a paranormal world of magic and the creatures of that shapeshifting domain where sirens, vampires, gargoyles, sea monsters, zombies, trolls, chimeras, banshees and phoenix clash in the tension that exists between good and evil, watched over by the Guardians seeking to hold at bay the power of Set IV, ruler of evil. But, the creatures of darkness are rushing to the surface of the earth through a portal opened from Underworld and order must be restored by the Guardians.

The Guardians are irritated by the apparent blundering of the phoenix shifter’s, latest assignment—to prevent a female sea monster, which has gone amok after drinking the addictive brew of the malignantly motivated sirens, from causing additional harm to humans and sea creatures alike. The sea monster is halted in her killing path and her 3 eggs saved, but she is mortally wounded in the phoenix quartet’s attempt to subdue her. The covert location of the four is exposed by “eco-terrorists” protesting the four shifters act of “murder,” the Guardians relocate the phoenix to America from Amsterdam to assist as “paranormal interpol” investigating the unprecedented appearances of large numbers of diverse magical creatures in New York City.

The phoenix shifters soon discover that the Guardians have not told them everything about their relocation. Obey: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance (The Phoenix Night Shift Book 3) calls on four of the paranormal shapeshifting phoenix—Derrick, Randall, George and Anthony to receive a “package” which, in fact, is large crate in which huddles what appears to by a child—a waif—but is Myra, a Central American woman who has been secreted from her home by a family seeking to protect their daughter from the forces of evil. Now, the four guardsmen must discover who and what she is and who they are to her as the qualities of honor, integrity, bravery and loyalty are revealed to be the true powers of good that can defeat evil.

Wylde weaves mythology, magic and romance to create a tale that pulls the reader into a mystical web of the paranormal. Lured into a world requiring the reader’s “willing suspension of disbelief,” shapeshifters and magic can realistically exist because of the careful crafting of believable characters and relationships that give vitality to the storytelling. Most impactful is the clear message of the importance of the world species working in harmony to triumph over the evils that lurk through time seeking to corrupt and destroy. The concept of "what we share makes us stronger" is true.

One team of Phoenix shifters ( Derrick, George, Randall and Anthony ) who been demoted and moved to a safehouse in New York City by the Guardians because of their mishap handling on their last assignment. Unhappy at their new assignment to pickup a crate and take it to the safehouse and guard it. They rather be fighting the demons that escaped Hell through a portal. When a young, dirty, unnourished lady comes out of the crate, they have another problem. When Randall gives a candy bar for her to eat, he notices her eyes glowed. After she take a shower, they ask who she is and she introduces herself as Myra. Myra tells the guys that she and her family were hunted but she does not remember, why. They now have to figure out what she is and why the Guardians wanted her protected? Like the others in this series there is action, drama and romance and the reappearance of the other Phoenix teams and characters as they battle to save New York City. I found this ARC to be well written, the guys with their own personalities entertaining and likable (Even though they grumble), Myra as the lost waif and the chemistry between the Phoenixes and herself entertaining and the action in this reverse harem romance made this a very enjoyable ARC to read and review.

Paranormal Reverse Harem. Third book in the series. Different team led by different circumstances. Each story builds off the other. This story ties all the previous two together.
Four Phoenix shifters who are assassin spies get ordered to protect a crate only it’s not a crate they end up protecting. Myra is more than a slender 24 year-old Central American female. She’s the Jaguar Queen, ruler of all felines. The Underworld has a portal that is leaking out its minions. Its goal is to take over the Earth and eliminate humans. Myra and her four Guardsmen: Derrick, Randall, George and Anthony aide in closing the portal and saving the humans. Along with the help of siren Bunny and several other special tasks teams. Bunny is awesome. I love her personality. Although the story is meh until it comes to Bunny and the posse saving the world the rest is boring. The story is told from the guys and Myra’s point of view. So we get a full round perspective. All in all it is an okay story but the middle to the end is what sells the book. Some spelling errors and words smashed together that need separated but overall if the foundation wasn’t so long I wouldn’t have been bored.

This is an absolutely marvelous & enjoyable paranormal shifter romance, which keeps the reader’s attention until the end. The plot is well-thought out & written with some intriguing, unexpected mythological situations. The main characters are well-developed & have good chemistry between them but are rather complex at times as they continue to develop throughout the story-line. The secondary characters offer good support.
There is: a young female jaguar queen (Myra) in danger, the four protectors (Derrick, Randall, George & Anthony) assigned to protect her, a loudmouthed opinionated siren (Bunny), various kinds of shifters, portals, agents, guardians, humans, assassins, some humor, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, assignments, dissatisfaction, action, adventure, mystery, secrets, attacks, enemies, evil, danger, threats, confrontations, conflict, violence, devious plans, confrontations, manipulations, discovery, vulnerability, attractions, negations, compromises, declarations, love, contentment & a satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this paranormal shifter romance to people who like to read this genre.

Four phoenixes -- Derrick, Randall, George, and Anthony – are to take care of an important crate which turns out to contain a small female. The female is actually Myra from Central America, needing to be protected from the evil, and will have an important role to play. This story shows the guardsmen trying to figure out who exactly Myra is -- as even she did not know she was the new Jaguar Queen -- and how they relate to her, as good must battle evil and only qualities of honor, integrity, bravery, and loyalty can defeat it.

In the quest to find the open portal allowing the entry of monsters and demons from the Underworld and to restore order, they need more help. Can they achieve their goal? Or will loss and destruction doom them all?

I evidently missed book 2 in this series and started off a bit confused. Fortunately the writing is good and the characters are well-defined, so I was able to enjoy the story as I read further. Grab your copy and join the exciting adventure!

This being the 3rd in the series, it is every bit as good as the 1st 2! It incorporates both of the first 2 teams and makes it a whole! Myra is sent to be taken care of by Derrick, Randall, George and Anthony, a team of spies from Europe who have been compromised! At first they balk at this duty, feeling it beneath their skill set but then they start working with the other teams and come to realise the importance of where they are and who they are caring for! Myra starts as a defenceless and wraithlike girl but soon recovers and becomes formidable!
What I loved about this was the inclusion of Bunny and then other tennants of the building from the first book! Bunny is funny!!

A seriously good read but it does need the other to be read first to help the context!

Derrick , Randall, George and Anthony are spies from Europe that are tasked to pick up a crate box and protect it. Being spies they thought this job was beneath them until they started taking shifts working with the other Phoenixes in the city. Then they realized they had an important job to protect their ‘package’ and even more so with the startling realization of what the ‘package’ really was. Fighting against the unground world is hard business. I love the fact it has incorporated characters from the past two books especially Bunny. Don’t get me wrong I love the other two teams but Bunny is a hoot ! Well worth reading. I believe it would be better to read in order (for full context) although not necessary.

Four Phoenix Shifters used for assassinations and infiltration are asked to guarding a crate.
Derrick, Randall, George and Anthony are a team Phoenix shifters used by the Guardian for assassinations and infiltration. After killing a sea monster being controlled by sirens who has been sinking ships from warships to fishing ships but they also killed seventeen sirens which the Guardians are not happy as it is causing trouble with the sirens. They are given a new mission in New York City and make contact with a federal agent. They to a safe house then taken to to collect a crate which they were expected to protect. They put in the basement of the safe house the as they were wonder what was in it the crate starts to open and a frail hand appears.

This is the third book in this wonderful series about teams of phoenix's who work for law and order.

This team of 4 are the first tam that aren't police officer no this is a team that works undercover they are more spies or maybe a Seal Team for the supernatural world There work has made them person non grata in Europe where they are usually stationed so they have been sent to New York to help the teams there. There first job is to guard a container that has arrived from Central America they are stunned when a small woman appears out of the shipping container. Myra isn't all that she seems and with the help of Derrick, Randall, George, and Anthony as well as the teams we have met previously may be the key to not only finding the portal from the dark world but the closing of it as well. In the process These five will learn what love is ans bond into a wonderful unit

This book is one of those book's that you say just one more chapter even though you should be turning the light off as you've got work in the morning 😁😁
I absolutely loved this book from the very first chapter it had me gripped and eating up every last word.
The way that Laura has written the characters, well let's just say I really liked every single character.
This book is really well written and thoroughly enjoyable, it has everything you want from a book, romance 😍 and  suspense 🙀🙀 there are plenty of twists and turns that will keep you reading until the early hours of the morning 😆
I'd definitely recommend this book ⭐⭐❤❤

A reverse harem story. Four shifters and a queen. Four phoenix shifters are given a mission. To safe guard a crate. But when they get the crate to a safe house a small woman comes out of it. A woman who is malnourished, confused, and has no memory. As they feed her and give her gifts, she comes alive and turns into a gorgeous woman named Myra. But Myra has secrets. What is so special about her that they were sent to protect her? She appears to be a normal human woman. And what does she have to do with the portal that is allowing demons in? It was interesting to get a team that wasn't directly law enforcement, but rather more of an intelligence/spy team. I liked the dynamics of how they worked together, each member bringing different aspects to the work they do. Myra I had a harder time getting a good feel for. She was such a mystery for the first half of the book, and then such a different character for the rest of the story (I liked her a bit more in the beginning than I did towards the last part). I never really felt a romance between her and the guys, it came across more as they were there so it was who she ended up with sort of relationship.

I hadn’t read the Phoenix Night Shift, books one and two, so it took me a little bit to catch on but once I did I was caught! I will have to go back and read the first two now!! This is a great story about Myra, the Jaguar Queen, and her four guardsman. Of course they didn’t know they were going to be her guardsman, and Myra didn’t know she was the new Jaguar Queen. Follow them on their journey to discovering each other’s roles while fighting to close the portal to the underworld. A great read!

This was totally unexpected for me, I actually loved this book with 4 hunks and 1 woman. To follow the 4 Phoenix shifters protecting a small woman was interesting to see how these men had to interact with Myra. To see their relationship change and she loving them equally and to find out what she was in the end was just a surprise to them all. This book is totally what you should read if you like 4 men with one woman. This book totally had me hooked.

The fast action, keeps you on your toes. entertaining! Good writIng on the part of Laura Wylde!
I haven’t read the first two books but she writes well enough that you catch on to the storyline. Read the book! No spoilers from me!

The four Phoenixes were given the assignment to pick up a box and were they surprised when a women came out of it. Their job was to find the open portal that the underground monsters were coming through. Then they found out who the woman really was and the role they would play as her guardsman with qualities of honor, integrity, bravery, and loyalty. Interesting story with some very strong, well-defined characters.

4 Phoenix Protecters learn the meaning of working together, when they are sent to protect a crate containing Myra, who looks very childlike and has no memory. I love how she incorporated characters from her first and second books, it helped a lot in following the story. Contains lots of different shifters all working together to fight evil.

This book has a good storyline and is well written. I enjoyed reading it.
I am a bit old fashioned so the 'harem' thing and group sex scenes are not really my but they are well written so they fit into the plot and do not take it over like happens in so many books these days.
I think it is a good book to sit down with and escape real life for a little while.

Four birds and a cat! What a combination!

The beginning was different and I was hooked. I think Anthony was my favorite. But all of the men had their own charm. Myra changed so much. She was weak, scared, with no memories of her life or past and with the help of her guys she became strong, confident and decisive. It was nice to have the other Phoenix teams involved in the final battle.

This is the third book in series of the protesters the Phoenix 's. This one was good, the new group of Phoenix got a carton they had to protect with their lives..what was in it and why were they babysitting a box not out fibhting? From there it get interesting! Definitely recommend it.
