This book is action packed and is really enjoyable. I was hooked from the start as it began with an unexpected twist. Which I really liked because it started with the female instead of the male character for a change. I did not expect Kat to be how she was. I loved the back story for Kat bless her has had the worst start in life but was such a sweet girl underneath it all. I really like Roman and even though his nickname is the beast he was actually a really nice guy to Kat. He was just what Kat needed and she was his. I liked the interaction from the characters from the other books in the series. This book was well written and was well thought out. I loved it.

A great read between two people who unexpectedly runs into each and life takes a turn for the best.

You have this big, broody, handsome Alpha male who could squish his enemies with a simple squeeze of his palms

And then there’s this petite cute thief who has enough spunk to fight when it counts and submit to her beast.

I loved the plots and turns of the story! I was not expecting the thing to go down the way they did!

I’m sooo happy I chose to read this book! Highly recommend!

There’s enough action and suspense to keep you turning the pages! There’s spice and intimacy I really enjoyed!

Wonderful…

First of all, this book needs two warnings, and both of them have some triggers.

For a Price is hot, provocative and extremely adventurous. I love how other stories are tied together within the inter workings of this storyline. Oh! Let’s not forget the chemistry between Kat and Rom. They will have you asking someone to pass you a fan.

I do hope that there will be more to come.

it had me, till it didn’t.

I find myself in the middle ground when it comes to this book. While it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t exactly amazing either. The beginning was engaging with plenty of action that kept me hooked for a while, but as the story went on, my interest started to wane.

One thing that really bothered me was the sexual tension between the characters. Perhaps it’s just my realistic mindset, but the way the story handled the relationship dynamics—especially considering the kidnapping aspect—felt forced. In a situation like that, I just couldn’t see how sex or anything adjacent would be a priority for someone in Kat's position. It didn’t quite sit right with me, which may not be a problem for everyone, but for me, it took away from the realism of the story.

Speaking of Kat, I had a hard time connecting with her as a character. Despite being portrayed as streetwise, she often acted like she was unaware of her surroundings and lacked basic survival instincts. Her decisions were frustrating, and I didn’t like how she was made to look weak, especially when it came to the men who violated her. It was disheartening to see her repeatedly put in situations where she seemed to lack agency.

As for Roman, I couldn’t get past his character either. While he did show some moments of strength and protectiveness, his obsession with Kat’s physicality made him come off as a brute rather than a nuanced character. The repetitive “kitty kat” references didn’t help either and became rather grating over time.

On the positive side, I did appreciate the author’s writing style. The pacing and structure were solid, and the story held my attention for a good portion of the book. However, I was hoping for a more realistic approach to the characters and romance. I’m still on the lookout for a book that offers a more grounded and thoughtful take on these themes.

Final Thoughts: Overall, this book was just “okay” for me. While it had some engaging moments, the character choices and dynamics left a lot to be desired. If you enjoy action-packed stories with a touch of romance, you might still find some enjoyment here, but if you're looking for something more grounded, this may not be the best fit

For a Price: A Dark Bratva Romance by Sienne Vega is a standalone book but with ties to two of her other series, Gangsters and Roses and Midnight Society. While this book has similar elements to other stories, both of our main characters are uniquely fashioned with a dynamic relationship which is strictly their own! Katerina is an unpolished small-time career criminal, orphaned at a young age, she utilizes her street smarts to survive. Roman Volkova is a member of the bratva, a hulking beast of man with a reputation for violence and vengeance. When Katerina and her bumbling sidekicks kidnap Roman by mistake, they are lucky to escape the ordeal with their lives intact. However, for Roman the situation is far from over, he is intrigued by the cautious but bright and spirited little thief. For a Price has become another favorite of mine; Ms. Vega always excels at creating books where tenderness and action are given equal footing. While at the start of their relationship, coercion was a driving factor, this seemingly mismatched pair formed an ardent and loyal bond, solid in the face of opposition and all rivals. In addition, to the riveting main storyline I am always excited to see characters from other stories, so Salvatore and Stitches showing up was icing on the cake. In conclusion, For a Price is a wonderful entry in Ms. Vega’s collection of incredible stories and one I will be reading and rereading 😊.

I absolutely loved reading this book I was hooked from the start, this story was written well and the characters were amazing. This story was about Roman and Katerina (Kat), this was one book that sends your knees weak. When Kat thought kidnapping him would help her, the joke on her there was action, danger, suspense, he was deadly so things went south. The heat was turned up but the fan didn't cool me down.

Sienne does it again! For a price is excellent, spicy and action packed. From page one this story grabs ahold of you and keeps you eager to find out what’s going to happen next. Roman and Kat are the best characters ever! Strong, tough and so sexy. I love that this story ties in with other amazing stories by Sienne and the cameo from two of my fave characters from the Gangsters and Roses series.

I will be reading this over

Loved it Kat was able to get some of herself back, I know how that’s feel. Woman that have endured any type of violence, you have to find a way to get your voice and power back. I fell in love with Roman, he protected and believe in Kat, any woman would be happy to get a man like that especially now a days.
I really enjoyed this story hate that it ended.

This is a true mafia romance. It is a mix of gore (that I was quick to skip), dark subjects (human trafficking, child abuse)(I also was quick to skip) and sex. As you can see, I'm not made for the mafia romance life. However, the blurb was interesting and the writer created wonderful characters that had depth and were not pantomime. So I got caught up and read through it to the best of my ability. Loving it all.

Another great book by Sienne Vega. We get the story of Roman and Katerina and boy oh boy are you hooked from the beginning to their story and the suspense and action they experience, there is drama, danger and a kidnapping section and plenty of steam. If you are a fan of bratva romances then this is definitely one to read.

I love stories with a dominating anti-hero. Like it even more when his partner has a backbone. This is the most “aggressive” book I’ve read by Sienne, but I really enjoyed all of it. I liked the cameo of a certain Italian mafia leader.
Great story throughout. Great emotional connection to both characters. Lots of suspense and action. Incredible bedroom scenes!!!!.

Another excellent story by author Sienne Vega! This book was an awesome read that was very well written! It had all things that makes a great book (steam, spice, awesome characters and storytelling), I would highly recommend this book! The storyline flowed seamlessly and came together flawlessly! First off, be warned. There is a very clear content warning that doesn't go quite far enough. Not only are violent scenes written in excruciating detail, there's language to match. Even with the warning I wasn't expecting... This. I'm used to warnings that say there's something, but it's just a scene or two. Nope, the whole book. That said, if you skim the personal language, it's an interesting concept, tale as old as time. Girl meets boy and gets much more than she bargained for.

This author will always kill a mafia romance. Kat is in some shady business with some shady people, and she’s roped into a kidnapping scheme. She attempts to kidnap Roman and he turns the tables on her and she becomes his pet. Their relationship evolves past that, traumas and triggers are shared. Also a lot of heat in true Sienne Vega fashion. 10/10 book.

Roman and Kat are a great rough and tumble couple. They have a lot of violence and adventure as their feelings grow and explode for each other. Poor Kat experiences a lot of traumatizing moments but Roman is there to give her encouragement and strength while righting on the wrongs done to her. I love this couples odd first meeting and hot relationship that develops out of it. Great read!

It took me a while to get hooked into the storyline, but once I did, I couldn’t put the book down! Not 5 starts because I didn’t really grasp why Roman was so fascinated with Kat when they first met. I think his desire for her at the first meeting could have been fleshed out a bit more.

Great read

This was a really good romance suspense novel. Of course the beast and Katerina had plenty of 🔥 but there was so many other things in this story. It’s a story about survival, betrayal, and while it may not seem like it finding where you fit in the world. Great read! I didn’t pay attention if there was a trigger warning but there is some SA in here so just be aware.

Page Turner

Vega has done it again! Another fabulous, intense and brutal story. I loved that she brought in characters from another series, (another one of my fav’s). I could not put this book down and although there was not an epilogue the story was rounded off well loved it thanks Sienne.

Does not disappoint

I loved how Zver took his time with his kitty cat to take care and capture her bruised heart and soul to help her heal from a battered childhood. Vega is one of my favorite authors. Can't wait for the next book to drop
