I love, love, love this author!
R.J. Grieves has not disappointed me. I LOVE his writing style! I have to meet this guy!
His storyline and characters flow like honey. Did I mention that I liked this guy's writing?
The Sword of Erren-dar begins two generations later with Erren-dar and Elorin's only grandson, Vesarion. Like his grandfather and father before him, each was the remaining royal aire, The Lord of Westrin. Vesarion now grown is tall and handsome resembling his grandfather. In his mid-thirties, he carries himself comfortably on horseback leading his army. He leads the third generation of the elite army of mountain brigands. Now polished, the two thousand horsemen riding three abreast, are renown for their training and battle readiness. Vesarion has been called to the King Prince, to pledge his annual allegiance and each Barron arrives pledging their loyalty and business meetings quickly proceed. Upon adjournment for the day, Vesarion is asked to meet privately with the King Prince. The King Price has his own agendas and secretly wants Vesarion's good name and soldiers to become even closer aligned to the Crown. Vesarion is nudged to take a childhood friend as an arranged marriage, the king's daughter, Sareth.
Vesarion, Sareth and a band of misfits end up on a unplanned and death defying journey that leads to truth, strengt love and magic. Just like grandfather Erran-dar, the Sword of Erren-dar saves the day when death is inevitable.
You'll love this novel. I look foreward to more ancient tales from R.J. Grieves.
Read Grieve's, Book 1 The Crystal Chalice then, The Sword of Erren-dar Book 2.
