Utterly Yours

I can’t recall the last time a man ran his hands over my naked body before shaking my hand. To be clear, I’m not saying it’s never happened. It’s just been a while. But when Niko arrives at my home to provide a massage, his hands and my thoughts are all over the place. I only resist hitting on my sexy new massage therapist because, as a psychologist, I have my own set of firm professional boundaries.

However, Niko’s surprise arrival at The San Francisco Adventurers Meetup may give me another chance to see if his boundaries are as firm as his touch. I’m hopeful that by going on some daring excursions together, Niko will see me as much more than a client.

I’ll get to see if he’s the man I really want; someone who is willing takes emotional risks, not just physical ones. Someone who can reveal his fears, doubts, and insecurities. It’s easy to be infatuated with a beautiful blank page—all projection, no imperfection. I’m searching for something much deeper, and I worry about finding another client in disguise. Or to my dismay, I might learn I’m not the adventure Niko’s looking for.

TG Ramsey crafts a slow burn romance in Utterly Yours, masterfully combining emotional depth with bold, adventurous intimacy. The moment Travis, a grounded yet emotionally complex psychologist, meets Niko, an enigmatic massage therapist with a guarded past, a palpable tension simmers beneath the surface, gradually evolving from a professional boundary to an invitation to explore a deeper, more vulnerable connection.

What’s particularly refreshing about this story is its deliberate pacing in developing the romance, allowing it to unfold naturally through shared experiences and personal growth, with each outdoor adventure serving as an emotional testing ground that reveals new facets of the characters’ personalities and fears, prompting the reader to reflect on the true meaning of vulnerability.

Travis and Niko’s relationship is a multifaceted exploration of communication, encompassing verbal, physical, and emotional forms. Through Travis’s work as a therapist, Ramsey highlights the importance of self-reflection and personal growth, as Travis learns to apply his own advice to his romantic journey. The novel’s thoughtful interludes, featuring Travis’s sessions with his clients, offer valuable insights into his mindset and cleverly parallel the lessons he must learn in love.

Utterly Yours is more than a romance it’s a testament to the power of vulnerability, encouraging us to confront our flaws head-on. This tender, insightful, and quietly daring novel proves that emotional risk can be just as exhilarating as physical adventure, leaving a lasting impression long after the final page.

"A Smart, Sexy, and Deeply Satisfying Romance"

⚫️TG Ramsey’s Utterly Yours is a refreshingly intelligent and sensual romance that strikes a perfect balance between humor, desire, and emotional depth. From the very first page, the chemistry between the protagonist and Niko is electric, making it hard to set the book aside.

⚫️Told with both wit and warmth, the narrative follows a psychologist who is well-versed in emotional boundaries until a massage from the mysterious and undeniably attractive Niko disrupts his composure. What begins as professional restraint quickly evolves into an irresistible attraction, leading them both on an adventure that transcends mere physical thrills.

⚫️Ramsey skillfully delves into the complexities of connection how we navigate vulnerability, attraction, and the risks involved in opening our hearts. The novel isn’t solely focused on steamy moments (though there are plenty!); it also emphasizes emotional depth and self-discovery. The protagonist’s yearning for something genuine, for a partner willing to embrace emotional risks, sets this story apart in the romance genre.

⚫️With sharp writing, well-rounded characters, and a perfect mix of passion and introspection, Utterly Yours is a must-read for anyone who enjoys romance that is as thought-provoking as it is enticing. TG Ramsey presents a tale that is both enjoyable and deeply fulfilling

highly recommended!

I had no clue what I was getting into when I decided to read this book, but I am glad I gave it a try! I really enjoyed the premise ; I like a good 'friends to lovers' story, coupled with a 'slow-burn'.

The feelings and the excitement that we read about, really build up the sexual tension and romance between Travis and Niko. The way the two protagonists meet again and become friends is super original. This 'adventure group' is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet other people, like Leighna who is a great character, a "no nonsense girl"!

We know very quickly who Travis is, but Niko's character stays a bit of a mystery for a while. Their connection and chemistry just felt genuine to me. Their playfulness and dynamic was a huge draw. It made me smile.

TG Ramsey is an author whose work I will continue to read. Highly recommended!

💕 A slow-burn romance, Utterly Yours is a beautiful mix of adventure and vulnerability. Told in a single POV, Travis has it all, but someone to share his life with. The adventures that he and Niko go on, allow them to learn more about each other. But it’s way more than learning about the other person. While the adventures begin as part of an organised group, Travis and Niko soon take turns choosing private adventures to go on together. Each adventure forces them to become more and more vulnerable with each other. Learning to see if the other person is not only compatible as a partner, but to see if the other person is willing to open up in an emotional and vulnerable way.

The attraction is there from the very beginning, but our characters are careful. Even after they agree to open themselves enough to begin dating, they realise that there is still a part of them that is being held back. And this is the beauty of the book. The perfect partner isn`t only someone that you are compatible with. Or someone you are physically, mentally, or emotionally attracted to. It’s not just someone who has the same goals that you do. It’s about having someone that is willing and able to be as vulnerable with you as you are with them. Someone who you don’t hold back for.

Travis is a psychologist that communicates in words. Niko is a massage therapist that communicates in touch. It’s interesting to see how they learn to use both differing means to communicate with each other.

I thoroughly enjoyed following Travis in his role as a psychologist, meeting three of his clients, each with differing challenges. Mini stories so to speak. We see how Travis guides them and teaches them practices that will hopefully enable them to better manage themselves. We are given access to Travis’ thoughts as he tries to determine the best course of action for these people. We also get to see how, inevitably, some of this allows him to be a better partner to Niko.

What a rollercoaster this book was. Started as a probably DNF, then went up to a 4*, then down to 3*, then up to 5* and eventually it settled itself at a 3.5*, which I rounded up.
It took me a bit to get into the writing even if the POV is my referred one. It was just in my face for a while and I had to get used to it. And I think in the end it suffered a bit because we only had Travis POV. Instead of keeping Niko a mystery, it just felt like I was missing bits here and there, which never allowed me to fully connect with him.
After a while of being inside Travis' head it was actually kind of great and the banter was really good, giving me quite a few laugh out loud moments.
Not sure I liked how Niko put Travis in that weird spot at the end though, making him believe they might be done unless he changed. I think it felt out of nowhere because we never had Niko's POV. Kudos for writing men that actually communicate but I did not like the feeling that it was always on Travis' side to do most of the work to win Niko over. But that's probably just me.

I received this ebook as part of a Goodreads giveaway.

At one point in the story the author says “because real relationships aren’t fairytales.” This book is kind of like a fairytale in that it’s the story of two men who fall in love but who do so while learning to communicate with each other. The main character, a clinical psychologist, describes his sessions with patients (maybe a little too thoroughly) but then begins to realize he’s taken a bit too much of his therapeutic practice into his personal relationships. Together, the couple learn to confide in each other and be vulnerable with one another. I hope there are real relationships with this kind of communication.

There’s some spice but it’s definitely not the main draw to the novel.

This is a beautiful love story that captured my heart. Touch starved Travis has it all except a man to love. A massage, a chance meeting, and an adventure changes his life. Niko is an enigma and I immediately wanted to know more. Their fun banter and push and pull kept me turning the pages.

I love stories with two great men navigating a healthy relationship with boundaries. I highly recommend this if you like a slow burn, low angst, plucky side characters, and adventures to deepen a relationship. An the spice is chef's kiss.

A fabulous debut novel and I can't wait to read more from this author!
