5⭐️ My first time reading the Bible from beginning to end! (12/31/2024). The set up of this Bible made it so easy to do- with daily readings split up for every day of the year. Each day includes a reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, and something from either Proverbs or Psalms. It wasn’t until the second half of the year that I started to keep track of the verses that jumped out at me, so as I restart the process tomorrow, I will hopefully be adding more of my favorite verses to this list! 🤍

Ezekiel 11:19-20
I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

Hebrews 12:11
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Daniel 9:18
We do not make requests of you, because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.

Zechariah 1:14
Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion, but I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they added to the calamity.’”
(I love God’s sense of humor here!! 😂😂)

Nehemiah 13:2b
Our God, however, turned the curse into a blessing.
(🙌🏼🙌🏼)

Psalm 7:9
O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.

Mark 11: 22–25
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand, praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Isaiah 40:11
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

Proverbs 23:15-16
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad; my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.

2 Timothy 2:23
Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

1 John 4:12
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Genesis 4:7
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.

Genesis 7:2-3
Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
(I am mind blown right now because I have always been taught Noah took two kinds of every animal. This is the first time I noticed that God told him to take seven pairs of every kind of clean animal and bird. I don’t know how I’ve never noticed this before?!)

Psalm 5:11-12
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Matthew 6:27 & 34
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
34 Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own

Genesis 25:7-8
Altogether, Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.
(This verse stood out to me because what more could you ask for in life than this?)

Hosea 6:6
For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Isaiah 29:13
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.

Psalm 13:5-6
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.

Exodus 33:13a
If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.

Mark 7:8
Jesus said to the Pharisees: “You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.”

Psalm 28:6-7
Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Psalm 37: 7-9
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret —it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

Deuteronomy 10:12-13
And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?

Deuteronomy 11:18–21
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands, and find them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the Lord swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

Deuteronomy 32:31
For their rock is not like our Rock.

Psalm 56: 3-4
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Psalm 60: 11-12
Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

John 9:3
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.”

John 12:24-26
I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

1 Samuel 15:22
But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

John 13:15-17
I have set you an example that you should so as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

John 13:34-35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

Proverbs 12:3
He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Psalm 67:5
May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.

John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in me, you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
(Thank you Jesus! 🤍)

Proverbs 16:20
Whoever gives heed to instruction prosperous, and blessed is he who trust in the Lord.

Proverbs 17:28
Even a fool is thought wise, if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.
(I literally keep quiet for this reason! Haha 🙈 I think it’s so important to wait to speak our thoughts and digest the information we’ve been given first)

Romans 8:26
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
(I’m so grateful that God knows my heart even when I don’t have the ability to express what I’m feeling)

Romans 9:18-21
Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?“ But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for
common use?

Romans 14:8
If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
