She-Wolf

Dealing with the Rogue Werewolves terrorizing his Pack? Simple.
Trying to convince his mate he does want to be with her? Bloody impossible.

Owen MacLaren is the Alpha's son and the Pack's second, and he has never been one to let anything get to him. So when a bunch of Rogues begin purposely dumping mutilated bodies around the Pack Keep, he is more than ready to deal with the Werewolves responsible.

But one night off and a trip to a local strip joint for a colleague's stag night changes things, and Owen soon discovers he isn't immune to everything . . . .

Being an independent Loup and travelling the world? Easy.
Having to come home and face the Werewolf who broke her young heart? Challenging.

After five years away, Clare Walker finds herself back home in Scotland, working in a strip club. The tips are decent, and she gets to dance, but it isn't a place she thought she would ever be, let alone Owen, her Pack second and the mate she has always desired.

Although Owen is determined to prove he wants to be with Clare, things can't go smoothly between them, not when they have past issues to sort out and a bunch of unusual 'Rogues' to deal with.

This book first came on my radar when the opportunity arose for me to read and review Blood Secrets which is the third book in the Blood series. Based on information received I realised that I would not be able to understand the events in book three without starting from the beginning. Hence my reason for purchasing a copy of She-Wolf. This is definitely an interesting start to the series.

Clare Walker is a 24-year-old Loup-Garou. (A Loup-Garou is a female born to a male werewolf. They are unable to transform into a full werewolf). She has been in love with the second alpha of her pack since she was sixteen years old. However, he rejected her advances due their 14-year age difference. Since then her attitude towards him changed, but her feelings remained the same. At 19 years old, she left the pack to pursue her dreams. Five years later she has returned only to discover that the feelings she thought were dead and buried was very much alive.

Owen McLaren is the second son of an Alpha and teacher of physical education at the local high school. He has recently been engaged in hunting for rogue werewolves who have been a constant thorn in his pack’s side. At the beginning of the story we see him being pulled away from his hunting duties to reluctantly attend a stag party at a strip club for one of his human co-workers. Little did he know that his past was about to collide with his present.

What I liked:

The Plot: I found the storyline to be unique and entertaining. I was intrigued by the author’s concept of werewolves and their history. It was not typical of what I have come to expect from this genre. The story flowed smoothly and was easy to follow. There was a cliffhanger, but surprisingly it did bother me as much as stuff like this usually does. The cliffhanger had more to do with the issue of the rogue werewolves. The author did warn readers that the books in the series could not be read as a stand-alone, so I knew that there would have been a cliffhanger. The aspect of the story that dealt with the romance between Owen and Clare was adequately dealt with.

The Characters: I thought the characters were easy to relate to. Both Clare and Owen knew what they wanted and would stand for nothing less. Clare was not a weak minded individual. I admired that about her. She was not sure if she could trust that Owen could remain faithful to her for the rest of their lives due to his fear of commitment. As such she was not willing to rush into anything. Owen knew that Clare was it for him and he would do just about anything to convince her of that. What endeared to Owen, was his patience and control. He was willing to accept Clare’s terms even though his inner wolf thought otherwise. It was refreshing to see human side having control over his wolf.

The Romance: Usually for this type of genre, when the characters discovered that they are mates they jump into the relationship quickly. This was not the case for She-Wolf. Owen had to fight to secure a future with Clare. I loved that he was willing to go out on dates with her so that he could spend time getting to know her better.

Pace: The story was well paced. I was pulled into the story from the outset. I was intrigued to see how Owen would have handled the strip club scenario seeing that he didn’t want to be there. Then there was the situation with rogues which had me glued to the pages, as I was curious to find out who was the mastermind behind the attacks.

POV: The story was told from both Clare and Owen’s POV. The move between POVs was seamless, making it easy to follow. I like when stories are told this way as it helps me to have a better understanding of what the characters are experiencing.

What I was hoping for:
There was an aspect of the story that I thought could have been fleshed out more. It left me with more questions than answers. It was not clear what was Phillip’s (a French werewolf) intentions towards Clare. It was speculated that he wanted to be her mate, but that the author did not follow through on that part of the story.

Verdict:
I enjoyed this installment immensely and can’t wait to see what will happen next. I recommend that you get a copy and discover for yourselves what I am referring to.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Owen is the second Alpha of his pack, and the moment he sees Clare again, everything changes for him. With Clare being so young things did not end on good terms when she left Scotland five years ago. Now that she is back he has a lot of work ahead of him convincing her that he wants her as his mate; he also has to worry about bodies on their territory and other werewolves putting them there.

THOUGHTS

This was a pleasant paranormal and an interesting start from the prequel of The Blood series. Clare and Owen’s story was engaging with the young teenage girl having a crush on the older second Alpha of the pack. Of course, that crush did not end well forcing Clare to leave town. Now that she is back in town five years later, their non existing relationship is taken to another level. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Clare and Owen’s age difference but it worked well and I don’t think Clare was immature.

Clare and Owen’s first interaction reconnecting again was interesting and sexy, as they found themselves in a strip club. That scene for me left an excitable impression as I was looking forward to the rest of their story. What I also liked was that Clare did not make it easy for Owen, who considered Clare ‘mines’, which is wolf talk for you belong to me and nobody else will ever have you again. With each chapter the author gave the characters their own point of view which was likeable for me and you get to view the story from each side. Apart from Clare and Owen’s story, the mystery of the Rouges aka the body snatchers and dumpers as I like to call them was a nice added twist. I love the scene when Owen walks in to find a dead Rouge’s body in the kitchen; Clare’s reaction to his question about it, priceless.

Great read

An un-putdownable book, I read this in six hours. A well written werewolf saga at first I didn't think it was going to be this good. Especially when the female lead was was a stripper. However she came across as quite modest and strong, it turned out to be a lovely treat

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Claire Walker has returned to her hometown of Scottland after being gone for five years. She left because of the second in command of her clan rejected her after she confessed her feelings for him. Owen would babysit Claire and her siblings when she was a teenage. Owen never explianed to Claire his reasoning for rejecting her. Maybe if he had he wouldn't have broken her heart so bad.

One night Owen's friends talk him into going to a bar for a bachelor party for one of their friends. He sees Claire up on the stage and his wolf side of him comes out. Now after five years has passed since he last saw her the shoe is on the other foot as they say. Owen realizes with the help of his wolf that Claire is his soul mate. Owen is in for a surprise when he finally gets to speak with Claire. Although Claire feels the same thing she still feels the hurt that he put her through when she was a teenager. Claire set down some ground rules with Owen as to how they were going to deal with their relationship now. Owen is going to have to gain her trust back and prove to her that he will not her hurt again. What is he going to do to her trust again? What is Claire going to put him through or what kind of chalk line is he going to have to follow? How far will he go to get her back?

On top of everything that he is going through now with Claire, Owen and their clan are having problems with someone killing humans and leaving the bodies on their property. Owen and his clan does not feed from humans they go hunting at night for animals to feed from. When they get close or think they are on the right track to finding who is killing humans and leaving them in their territory. The rogues come after Owen and Claire. Who are these rogues? Why are they dumping bodies all over their land?

She-Wolf is written in both Owen and Claire's point of view. I like reading books where they are written in different characters point of view. When you get the story from different people's view you know what each person thinks and feels. If they are written with one person's view they can't tell you what everyone else is thinking. I loved the whole process of how they shifted into werewolves. If a wolf had a mate then the change was like a romantic kind of thing for them and having a mate made the change easier for them too,

Now I would like to take this time to thank Elizabeth Morgan for giving me the opportunity to read She-Wolf. I love reading about werewolves or any paranormal creäture. After reading She-Wolf it left me wanting to know more and very anxious to read Cranberry Blood (Blood #1).

This review was written by Kay G for Bex 'n' Books. The books was provided to Bex 'n' Books free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

She-Wolf is a supernatural erotic romance set in Scotland. It centres around Owen and his werewolf pack and the problems that they face, including his difficult relationship with Clare whose heart he broken five years earlier.

This is the first full length novel I've read from Ms Morgan and having read two novellas previously, which I loved, I was very excited to see what she could do with a feature length so to speak and let me tell you she did NOT disappoint!

I love her writing style she gives just enough detail without taking away your imagination which is a difficult thing to do; it's easy to waffle on and describe everything in detail which in my opinion bores the reader. Ms Morgan, however, gives just enough which allows the reader to paint a very vivid picture, if the story says the bar the characters are in is sleazy and seedy, then Ms Morgan gives just enough to make you feel it!

I really loved this book; the story grabs you from the start and doesn't let go. I liked the setting and the main characters and I enjoyed the humour that is scattered throughout the story. The chemistry between the main characters, Clare and Owen, practically sizzles and its fantastic - you can't wait for them to get it on!

She-Wolf is a prequel, so naturally I can't wait to get hold of the next one. The only downside is the cliff hanger at the end...NOOOOO! You can't do this to me!!!... My advice make sure you have the second one to hand to avoid wailing like a banshee! This book is an excellent read. I highly recommend it and deserves a full 5 stars from me. Well Done once again Ms Morgan! Love it!!

First, I have to confess my bias: I love werewolves, and I love Scotland. So, when heard this was a series about werewolves based in Scotland, I was STOKED! :D Short of something drastic going wrong, there was no way I wasn't going to love this, and I already knew I liked Elizabeth's writing style, so there you go...

I'm going to jump straight to my absolute favourite part of this book: the plot. The whole thing about the Rogues and who or what are after the Werewolves, and to what end, etc, totally hooked me in, and although this prequel is Clare and Owen's story (and labelled as a paranormal romance, which it is) you can definitely see the start of an awesome urban fantasy series taking shape - one that has the promise of being several books long if the author decides to take it that far. There's info about werewolf history and Pack traditions, and so on, and it all sets the scene nicely for what's to come next. Don't dismiss the secondary characters - we will be seeing them again, I have no doubt, and I'll bet anything that it's not the last we've heard of a slightly smarmy French wolf... maybe...

As for the romance in this book, it sizzles off the pages. Owen is ultra hot without being a dick, and Clare is independent without being a bitch. You have a good build-up to them getting together and Morgan sets the pace just right. Amusing in places, suspenseful in others, with the right level of steam, you're missing a treat if you haven't picked this up. Now onto Cranberry Blood ... and then I have to figure out how to get Elizabeth to write more quickly...

A great read! :)

Great plot line, characters and action. So much improved from the Cranberry Blood novel. This prequel has just the right amount of backstory, werewolf lore explanation and action. Great pacing and a mystery that is waiting to be solved! Now I need to re-read Cranberry Blood in preparation for the third book in the series to be released!!

There were a couple of typos/ editing issues but they didn't hinder my enjoyment of the novel.

Appropriate for adults only due to graphic violence and sex scenes.

Rugged, Scottish Werewolves – how could I resist?

This book is seriously sexy, and deeply passionate. I like the way it is told from both protagonists' point of view. I feel like part of the pack after reading this book, and now I need to read the series!

This is a contemporary werewolf love story set in Scotland, and I loved it! The scenery was beautiful, as you would expect. We hear the story of a werewolf pack with ancient lineage, and how its youngsters continue the family business. And then there is the love story between our feisty she-wolf and her mate. The tension is brilliantly worked, and the characters could be my mates from the local pub, I feel so familiar with them. I highly recommend this book!

I downloaded She-Wolf as a free book from Amazon. This was advertised as a prequel, but it's a full-length story with an excellent plot and interesting characters, not reading as a prequel (usually an info dump-- necessary, but often dry) at all. A few things are left unresolved at the end, but the romance wraps up nicely, and we have intriguing threads left open for the next book. Not so much of a cliffhanger in this story as a teaser for the next book. I really enjoyed this one.

She-Wolf and I got off to a rocky start; I wasn't impressed by the opening chapters and found myself thinking "what the heck have I gotten myself into?" A group of men are at a strip club celebrating one of their friends' last nights of bachelorhood doing what guys do best: drinking, swearing and ogling scantily clad women. Then Clare takes the stage and completely changes the direction and feel of the story. *phew!* I adore the mate aspect of werewolf fiction and this novel has it in spades. The plot line is surprisingly complex for a Paranormal Romance and the character development really impressed me. I enjoyed my time in Elizabeth Morgan's Blood universe and after this book's ending I find myself wanting more.

I was taken aback by the maturity that Owen demonstrated in the face of Clare's rejection. Typically alpha wolves have one track minds and an over the top sense of entitlement. Even though MacLaren's beast did demonstrate these characteristics his human half does a fantastic job of reining them in and forcing him to act in a more civilized manner. Clare makes it very clear from the get-go what her main concerns are with regards to their relationship and Owen actually listens. The primitive, caveman mentality is still present but it's not overpowering. As a result, MacLaren earned my respect and approval to pursue Walker which I hadn't expected to give so easily after reading the opening chapters.

The story is remarkably profound considering that it revolves around a budding romance. There's weird creatures terrorizing the pack, Clare's reevaluating her future and Morgan's wolf-ish lore is also added to the mix. I was fascinated by the Blood world and was more interested in uncovering Elizabeth's universe than the details of MacLaren and Walker's relationship. I was a little disappointed by the fact that there's really only one sexual encounter because I was under the impression that She-Wolf was borderline erotica but there is still plenty of tension throughout this book. Although, I must say, that one scene is HOT! Here's hoping that there's a smidgen more nookie time in the first installment and that this prequel was just meant to wet readers' palates.

The only fault that I found with this book was the editing; unfortunately, that's a pretty big issue in my opinion. The dialogue didn't flow super well and it didn't always feel natural. Identical or similar words were often repeated within the same sentence or close enough together to be noticeable. These errors definitely took away from my overall enjoyment of this novel and are the only reason that I'm giving this book 3 stars instead of 4.

She-Wolf is a great introduction to Elizabeth Morgan's writing style and the ending left me curious about Cranberry Blood's story line. This is definitely a worthwhile read for any werewolf fan.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This book is the prequel to the Blood Series, which begins with Cranberry Blood. I loved it!

Owen MacLaren is a wonderful character. He is a strong werewolf, who is second in command to his father. I liked him a lot. He is a little bit arrogant, but I suppose it comes with the territory. However, he is loyal, dependable and downright gorgeous! When he meets Clare Walker again after a long absence, he realises she's all grown up and he's met his match.

Clare Walker is also a wonderful character. She is a Loup-Garou (a female born to a male werewolf parent and not changed/bitten). She is stubborn, opinionated and determined. I liked her spunk. She is a trained dancer, but working in a strip club until something better comes up.

This is a fantastic paranormal erotic romance! I was completely engrossed in this story from the first page.
I have read books about werewolves as shifters (turning into wolves). However, I have not read stories about werewolves such as these! The werewolves I usually read about are in America, so it was a nice change of scenery for the story to be set in Scotland. The descriptions of the characters and places brought the story to life; I could picture everything quite clearly.

The reader is introduced to a few members of the pack, though not in great detail. Carter is the packs' Alpha and Owen's father. He comes across as a tough but fair leader. This story focuses mostly on Owen and Clare, and their budding relationship. The story is told from both of their view points. They have a sizzling chemistry that literally smolders on the page! I really enjoyed their sniping at each other, as they butted heads over Clare's safety.
There is plenty of danger in the form of rogues, and a few twists and turns that kept me intrigued. I kept wondering why the rogues were leaving bodies on the packs' land, and was just as frustrated as the werewolves when there was no answer forthcoming. I was a little bit sad when I reached the end of the story, as I wanted to keep reading. The slight cliffhanger at the end made me want to scream in frustration, but I am now looking forward to reading the main story arc, starting with Cranberry Blood, as soon as possible. This book could be read as a stand-alone if one wished. However, once a reader gets a taste, they will be craving more!

Elizabeth Morgan has written a fast paced and exciting prequel to what would seem to be a fantastic series. I love her fast paced writing style, and the story flow was wonderful. I have found myself becoming a huge fan of this author's work. I am glad that she is re-releasing this series as a self-published work, because it would be a shame for these characters not to be brought to life.

Due to scenes of a sexual nature that are rather on the hot and explicit side, not to mention some bad language and violence, I do not recommend this book for readers under the age of 18. I do, however, highly recommend this book if you love erotic paranormal romances filled with sexy werewolves. - Lynn Worton

Elizabeth Morgan is one of those authors who has the ability to write well across several genres (I actually have another book of hers I read and still have to post about, too, but that's another post for another day!) Recently I read She-Wolf. Actually, I read it very fast - I couldn't put it down. It's the story of two wolves, Owen and Clare, and it was fabulous.

Owen is a wolf, but not any wolf. He is second in command to his Alpha father. He is the epitome of wolves. Big, strong, sexy as hell, smart, and well, a bit of a playboy. And hey, his eyes go silver, and I dare you to tell me that's not hot! He's nearly 40, which is another aspect I loved. It's great to see him as an older man, closer to my age. He's seen and done all of his partying, and he's not done. Well, that's what he thinks! One fateful night at a bachelor party will prove him wrong.

And there she is. Up on stage. Smelling of flowers and all that is wonderful.... Clare. She is part of his pack, he watched her grow up. And apparently, he didn't know she was back in town after being gone for five years. Immediately his wolf knows more than he does. I get really excited when weres talk about how their wolf counterpart. It is kind of like they are a separate being, but yet still the same person as them. It's their true self, but forced to be hidden. The wolf is the id. The wolf is the soul. And the wolf wants what it wants, and that is exactly what turns me on to wolf stories.

And Clare... she's a feisty one. She bared her heart once and was dealt with a harsh denial. That's not something that is easily forgotten, and I really appreciated how she didn't just fall over for Owen. She made the man work for it, even though they both knew in their hearts that mating was an inevitable end for them. But what's great about Clare and Owen is that it isn't just what the wolves want. They want it, too. But still, she makes him work for it, and that is full of awesome.

There is also danger in the story. There are rogue wolves murdering innocent people and leaving them on pack land. The danger is is very real. There is the risk of exposure on top of the safety concerns. As pack second, Owen is very much invested into finding what is going on. This added bit of excitement and mysterious really adds some heart thumping moments.

But hey - you want sexual tension, chemistry and heat? Holy heck, you will get truckloads of it in She-Wolf. The kisses... omigosh, the kisses! I am a sucker for a hot kiss, and Elizabeth Morgan definitely delivers in spades. But even better than that, the love and connection between Owen and Clare is soul deep and tangible, and you feel that every step of the way.

So do I recommend She Wolf? Whole-heartedly, yes!! It's the first book in the Blood series, and I am so excited to see what happens next. Within the next month or so I will have Cranberry Blood up for you all to check out, but in the meantime, I definitely suggest getting your hands on She Wolf!

Owen MacLaren has never been more petrified than the day Clare danced her way back into his life. He stumbles and the suave womanizer disappears as his wolf decides to take control. Before he knows it, his world is turned upside down and confusion over his feelings and what is best for her are at war with each other. Now Owen is at Clare’s mercy as he struggles to make her realize that he’s changed, but so has she. The past has a way of coming back to bite and a nightmare look into Clare’s possible demise, gives Owen clarity and a new resolve strengthened. If she’ll have him, he’ll take her any way he can get her.

Clare Walker has never forgotten Owen or her feelings for him since childhood. What started out as idolizing Owen eventually turned into love after her first change. She can still remember quite clearly the day Owen broke her heart as a teen and although she hasn’t seen him in the last five years, those feelings haven’t gone away. She’s hardened herself and focused her feelings into her passion for dance, which has led her back home and almost on Owen’s lap. The Rogue threat is what ultimately brings them together and it may just tear them apart, but the question is what exactly are these Rogues?

She-Wolf is a combination of both suspense and drama with a nice dose of erotic romance. The power exchanges and dialogue between Owen and Clare are hilariously amusing and maddeningly frustrating, which just added to my further enjoyment of the story. Having the characters just hop into a relationship would have been less believable and I wouldn’t have connected with the character’s as well either.

However, there was some confusion surrounding how long Clare has been back in Scotland. It was mentioned a couple of times that Clare had been back for three weeks, but an employee of the strip club said Clare had been working there for two months. I am also not entirely sure why Clare decided to work at a strip club instead of finding some other type of gainful employment while waiting for her ‘big break’. Regardless, Clare and Owen’s unique reunion in the strip club makes for some fairly heated and intense exchanges between them right from the beginning of the story. Since the story is told from the points-of-view of both Clare and Owen, the reader is immediately drawn into the characters thoughts and feelings while the switching of the POV's was smoothly done.

There is much potential for The Blood Series to continue momentum with the next installment after the cliff-hangery ending and fans of paranormal erotic romance will definitely want to check out this author. After reading She-Wolf, it is without question that I will be reading the next in the series, Cranberry Blood.

After much anticipation and waiting finally got to crack open this novel. Doubly pleasurable is that it is my most read genre of late too. Taking a step back from patrolling and finding the rogues who are killing and causing mayhem it is now time for a stag party of four guys Owen is not so much a happy camper by now because drunk and strip joint could spell trouble of a different kind. This one was different than previous ones with his pack mates as they could not as easily get intoxicated so this human one was more trying on a wolf's nerves. In this club though Owen comes across something they have to offer he did not quite expect because he was about to become face to face with his future. Clare did not expect when she hit the stage that night she would meet up with the wolf from her past that held her heart captive so long ago and seem to squash it like a bug. Personally love when two people meet again after time has passed especially in the paranormal genre because it will be so much more than the normal passion since I love intensity that accompanies ones involved thanks to their natures. With the openness that can be expressed is what realistically people ignore in themselves can come out in the paranormal. These two will meet up after all this time with their wolves recognizing right away something they will butt heads about. Owen who until this time has only been serious about nothing but his place and responsibilities in the pack sees more willingly than Clare what they mean to each other. Thanks to what she has to accomplish yet but coming home has been one of those steps must decide if she will listen to her wolf and her heart where Owen is concerned. But everything is not smooth sailing because there is those so called rogues out there killing that must be stopped that this author I do believe has given us a mystery to chew on about these rogues when events reveal bits and pieces about them. All in all between the heat of two who are to be mated if the right decision is come too and the danger and death that is encountered this is no doubt one smack dandy opener from this author that will leave you panting for more. Received a arc for a honest review.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Set in Scotland, Owen is a werewolf and the Alpha's son. Rogues are killing people and leaving dead bodies everywhere and Owen is unnerved by these chains of events and is on the hunt to find the killers. While at a strip club with his friends for a bachelor party he sees Clare dancing on stage. Owen hasn't seen Clare in 5 years when she was a mere teenager who professed her love to him and was rejected. Clare is not a teenager anymore. Owen wants Clare to be his but he has a lot of convincing to do since he broke Clare's heart before.

THOUGHTS

This was an enjoyable story. The chemistry between Owen and Clare begins when they see each other. Clare tries really hard to play hard to get but she loses all control when Owen is around. I also liked the strip club scene as it set the tone for the story. I knew it was going to be sexy and it was. The banter between them made me laugh and I was waiting for them to actually "get it on" and it was worth the wait! I also liked how the author went back and forth telling Clare and Owen's sides, it let you know what they were both thinking and feeling. The passion between these two was off the charts.

Let's not forget the rogues and dead bodies all over the place. The secondary characters are enjoyable and added to the story, and will have stories of their own. A likeable paranormal story to start the series. The writer did a great job and I look forward to reading more.

This is the first book i've read from this author and I would say this was a good 3.5 stars for a review.
Owen and Clare are the main characters and both are engaging and have a relationship that is humorous at times because Owen really has no idea what he says to upset Clare at times.

Well written and enjoyable.

Favorite Lines “She has always wanted you as a mate, Owen.”

“All I can really tell you, laddie, is to live for today. For the moment. Wasting time is the
biggest mistake we can make in lo-ove.”

“Please don’t let this be a dream. I don’t want to wake up, if it is.”

“The desire to run so far that he wouldn’t be able to catch up played through me, but in my
gut, I knew he would. And somehow, it filled me with an odd sense of safety, knowing that,
no matter how far I ran, he would always be able to catch me, and I would always want him
to.”

“I have. You. For Life. Bonded. Not Bonded. Fuck the details. I just want to be with you, Clare.”

Oh I loved how this book didn't have the normal Werewolf traits. It has new word and types of wolves. Claire is a fabulous characters. I was floored when she was working at a strip club but she did it with grace.
Owen is YUMMY! So sweet. A real alpha man.
In his book someone is leaving bodies on the Prides Land. They are trying to get one of the Werewolves and will stop at nothing.
Great series, Fabulous writing! Loved it

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (RBTL)

She-Wolf by Elizabeth Morgan is a masterfully written, deliciously sexy story, full of adventure and steamy romance. Adding to the mix we have a winning combination of an alpha werewolf who knows the woman he wants and is willing to do whatever it takes to make her his, as well as an action packed murder mystery.

Clare was doing just fine making it on her own until one night Owen, the pack second and the man-wolf who broke her heart, discovers her in a less than reputable profession. Owen must not only find out who is leaving bodies around his territory, but must also convince Claire she is the she-wolf he as been waiting for.

She-Wolf was my first foray into the paranormal world of Werewolves, and I confess, I didn't know what to expect. Ms. Morgan made my reading experience a pleasurable one in all the best ways. There was such a nice blend of romance and action, the story held my interest until the last page. It may have been my first experience within this genre, but because of this enjoyable story, it won't be my last.

First, I would like to thank the author Elizabeth Morgan for giving me this book for an honest review. I absolutely enjoyed this book. The story-line is good and the world building was nicely done. The characters are well developed and written. It was different from my normal were stories, the author had her own type and I was impressed with how the story started. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and more from this author.

Loved the whole story and the characters were great. Both the humor and the suspense kept me turning pages until I was finished. I can't wait to read another one by Elizabeth Morgan she has become a favorite author. Though the cliffhanger frustrated can't wait for the next

Note: I got a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a review so my opinion is 100% real and not affected by that.

This is a very easy, quick paced and interesting read. It’s the prequel in the Blood series and it’s my first ever book that has werewolves as main characters. The author did an amazing job describing the wold building, the relationships between characters and the whole storyline in general. This is the perfect read when you’re looking for something quick and fun because the writing style is really beautiful and easy to read. It’s sexy, funny and intriguing. I’m not giving this a full 5 star rating because I feel like some things were a little rushed. But either way, I highly recommend this to everyone especially to fans of Twilight because it gave me pretty similar vibes!

Not to bad

The book isnt to bad. Im a bit confused with the ending. Events throughout the book that took place on the wolves property seemed to suddenly shut down and stop. Maybe in the next took i will understand why

It was alright but....

I wouldn't have gotten this if I had known that it was a cliffhanger. The characters were strong, the story had action and depth, it literally ended on a cliffhanger. Not even a HFN, but intrigue and mystery to get you to buy the next book, I hate that!

I didn't feel like very much happened in this book. I found it quite slow and the ending pretty boring and sudden. I know there's supposed to be more books connected to this, but it didn't even feel like a cliff hanger.
