About the author

Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.

He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.

Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

The fuck is this shit.

I've cried, I've laughed and I've been frustrated as hell with this volume. Someone kill meeeee.

Let me start off with the Gray and Juvia matter.

GRAY! I THOUGHT YOU'RE THE ONE FOR ME SO WHY ARE YOU BEING CHUMMY WITH JUVIA! YOU KEEP ON SAYING SWEET NOTHINGS AND IT'S BREAKING MY BROKEN HEART! I HATE YOU DON'T TALK TO ME.



Then there's the dragon stuff.

I still can't get over the fact that about some revelations about the Dragons. Hiro Mashima, is it your plan to make me insane? You're the king of cliffhangers and sad endings! Don't talk to me too. I hate you as much as I hate Gray-sama.



Let's not forget Gajeel and Levy

Thank fuck for these two. They make me so happy I'm starting to fart rainbows and glitter. Seriously Gajeel is soo cute whenever Levy is around and THAT FUCKING KISS IS IS TURNING ME ON! Well it's not actually a kiss, more like a CPR but don't rain on my parade. They exchanged some saliva and air so it's still a kiss.

Then there's Laxus....

I JUST CAN'T HELP BUT LOVE YOU MORE. MARRY ME AND LET'S START A POLYGAMOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH GRAY AND NATSU.

En este volumen seguimos con las batallas del tártaro, ya faltan los últimos villanos. Erza y Natsu se encuentran en batallas y Gray esta desparecido de momento, supongo que ahora hará su aparición, después de todo tiene ese nuevo poder 🤷🏻‍♀️
Y sorpresa, apareció acnologia atraído por todo lo que estaba ocurriendo y doble sorpresa también igneel que resulta siempre estuvo dentro de Natsu 😅 ya viene cerca el desenlace, a ver que tal ps 🤭

4.5/5 More Gajeel action is always welcome. We start off with a cool under water battle between Gajeel and Torafuzar. This battle also involves Levy and a bit more back story on Gajeel so pretty sweet.

The main highlight is we finally get to see Igneel. Another big dragon battle ensues. I love that stuff. As usual a lot more brawls going on and we’re back to Erza duking it out with Seilah again.

I can just laugh. 🤭 I couldn’t know who gray is. I laughed when Gray used a new power lol. It is impossible! The setting was demolished. Also, I was tired up with ex-master of sabertooth. He soooooo idiot and childish! His goal is just becoming the strongest in the world. Foolish! Your thinking is like a small kid.

Man, what can I even say at this point? This arc is just dragging me along, and aside from a few hiccups, I'm perfectly happy to let it. Gajeel takes on an incredible underwater fight, the big bad decides to make things even worse and an unexpected character appears to share basically everything.

This is what I love out of shonen manga - huge, epic fights with creative uses of powers and over-the-top stakes. Excellent.

EN RESUMEN
La pelea contra los demonios de Tártaro continúa.

ACLARACIÓN
Todos estos puntos están de alguna forma influenciados por conocimientos y opiniones que ya tenía sobre la historia gracias a la adaptación del anime y al ser esta una relectura.

ASPECTOS POSITIVOS
- GAJEEL FUCKING REDFOX. El crecimiento de este hombre es simplemente hermoso. Verlo desarrollarse desde ese chico lleno de furia a una persona que puede expresar sus sentimientos y lucha por otros es emocionante y de los arcos más sólidos que escribió Mashima. Lo gracioso es que ni siquiera creo que fue planeado. Simplemente pasó.
Le creo a Mashima cuando dijo que tenía pensada la historia de Gajeel con la vieja dle Consejo desde hace un tiempo pero la sustituyó con Makarov. Más que nada porque se sintió más fluida que lo que intentó con Rogue. ¿Que si me hubiera gustado que estuviera mejor plasmado? Obviamente. Pero de igual forma agradezco estos pequeños momentos de desarrollo.
Y con respecto a su relación con Levy, creo que podemos decir oficialmente que son una de las parejas mejor escritas del manga. Me encanta que Mashima no le tenga miedo a mostrar personajes besándose. Si bien sé que en teoría Levy le estaba dando aire, es más que obvio que está dibujado con un sentido romántico.
- El plot twist. Uno nota cuando un escritor llegó a esa parte de la historia que estaba esperando alcanzar desde el principio. Se nota muchísimo. Y en este tomo se nota que Mashimo estaba emocionado por llegar a este punto. Por fin sabemos dónde estuvieron los dragones todo este tiempo. Hubo buenas pistas a lo largo de la historia pero este giro es sin dudas uno de los puntos más altos del arco. Ver a Igneel en toda su gloria es un gran momento. Me encantó verlo interactuar con Natsu y cómo reaccionaron todos ante su aparición. Los diseños de los dragones siguen siendo uno de los mejores aspectos del dibujo de Mashima.

ASPECTOS NEGATIVOS
- Es a partir de este tomo que Mashima se da por vencido con las peleas de Erza. Amo tener un personaje femenino tan fuerte como ella, porque tenemos varios versiones hombres en otros mangas y nadie cuestiona su poder. Pero esto fue un poco absurdo.

CONCLUSIÓN
El tomo 47 de FT es una mezcla de todo. Tiene grandes momentos para algunos personajes pero derrapa hacia el final con peleas sin sentidos. Es un ritmo irregular, aunque los momentos buenos siguen destacando por sobre lo demás.

Mon avis (sans spoilers) concernant les tomes 46 jusqu'au 55.
Je dois avouer que j'ai beaucoup aimé ce qu'il se passe dans ces tomes. Certains passages/moments m'ont surprises, et ça fait du bien !
On a une certaine maturité qui s'est installée, les personnages ont grandis, ça se ressent et ça fait du bien. Et tout ça, sans qu'ils perdent leur personnalité, c'est à noter.
Je suis sur la dernière ligne droite, il ne me reste plus beaucoup de tomes. Je suis excitée et stressée à la fois !

My opinion (without spoilers) concerning volumes 46 to 55.
I must admit that I really liked what happens in these volumes. Certain passages/moments surprised me, and it feels good !
We have a certain maturity that has set in, the characters have grown, it's felt and it feels good. And all this, without losing their personality, it should be noted.
I'm on the home stretch, I don't have many books left. I'm excited and stressed at the same time !

There is something about a savior coming in at the last moment/second that you did not expect that just lifts your spirits! It also lifted my overall rating of this book to 4 stars because of the impactful moment. I wont state who it is, but I guess I should have seen it coming...and I just did not. Hiro Mashima has been lighter on the fan-service this volume, which does not hurt it at all, but in my opinion keeps the focus right where it needs to be. This volume reminded me of Dragon Ball fights in which power-ups continue to surpass imagination and appear just when needed, but I will say this series started for me as a low stakes enjoyable romp, but I have learned to care more and more and more about this guild and man...what a group of people. I feel friendship/family is shown by these characters time and time again.

FINALLY GAJEEL AND LEVY GOT IT ON!! OMG I COULD CRY OF HAPPINESS. IT ONLY TOOK 47 VOLUMES TO HAPPEN. ABSOLUTELY NO BIG DEAL

Also, we cant forget the return of Igneel and him asking Natsu to only STEAL the bookd END. Not open or destroy it, just STEAL it and bring it back to HIM. AHHHHHHH I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT PLOT TWIST TO FINALLY BE REVEALED.

This volume didn't really get me all hyped up and be like "what will happen next?". It's more of a smooth transition within each chapter and it had a good balance of sadness, suspense and action, unlike some of the other volumes.

Stupide Power-Ups, Kämpfe bei denen beide Seiten erst wenn sie halb tot sind auf die Idee kommen, sie könnten mal ihre wahre Kraft zeigen. Und ja... Das wars so ziemlich.
Ich frag mich was Acnologia eigentlich mit Zeref zu tun hat, aber das hat nichts mit dem Band hier zu tun.
