About the author

Louise Daphne Bagshawe was born on 28 June 1971 in England, UK. She attended local all-girls Catholic schools near her family home in Surrey, before going to Oxford University in 1989. After graduating with a degree in Anglo Saxon and Norse, she worked as press officer with EMI records and then as a marketing official with Sony Music. On her 22nd birthday, her passion for writing was realised with a major publishing deal as Louise Bagshawe. She is the author of more than fifteen novels, published in more than eight languages. She is sister of the also writer Tilly Bagshawe.

Louise married Anthony LoCicero, and they had three children, but since June 2011, she is married with her second husband Peter Mensch. She lives in Northamptonshire with her family, and has been the Parliamentary Candidate for Corby and East Northants since November 2006, and became the Member of Parliament for Corby after winning the seat at the 2010 general election.

This was the first LB book I read and it has remained my favorite!! I have read this so many times and have always hoped it be made into an hbo series or a movie-loved it!! The drama, the sex, the passion-EVERYTHING!!!!!

Okay, I picked up this book in the parents room at Westmead Kids hospital when my daughter was there for surgery. It’s a good book - I’m giving it 5 stars cos I really couldn’t put it down - it is FULLY trashy but I was REALLY into the story and the characters. The very descriptive spiciness definitely had me looking around thinking “gracious!” In case anyone could tell I was reading detailed descriptions of erections lol. But I really liked the characters too and the way they developed and had interesting backstories. There should be a trigger warning of abuse/ rape/ assault for a VERY small part of the book (finding out the backstory of one of the main characters) but no matter how small it’s distressing and upsetting to read.

Изключително досадна и тъпа книга. Обемна на всичкото отгоре. Исках нещо лятно и свежо, а затънах в някаква смесица от чиклит и софт порно на моменти, гарнирани със съвкупност от разнородни персонажи, неадекватни лични съдби, необсновани действия и пр. Четох по диагонал, разбира се, след първите 20-30 страници, иначе не бих издържала.

This book is from the series that was sold together with Cosmopolitan magazine years ago. Honestly, the plot is not something to remember long after you read it, but it is a pleasant read when you need to dive into something non-committal. The author's writing style was not to my liking. The story was a bit like a Latin-American telenovela. There was a lot of drama, but also a few good moments. I have not read other works by the author and I do not know if I would do it. But, in general, I did not expect miracles from this chick lit.

Megan is a writer who fails to publish her novel. One morning she wakes up with a million dollar idea - a script. Roxana is a super model. Beautiful, inaccessible and with a cold heart. Elinor is the vice president of a film studio. The fates and dreams of the three intersect, promising quite interesting moments and twists. Honestly, divorces and extramarital affairs came to me a little more. Of course, the ice queen Roxana is just a delusion and she hides much more colorful emotions under her stone facade. I liked how ambitious Elinor was. But maybe I liked Megan the most. And yet, I missed a complete and well-built strong female character.

In the beginning, the book goes a little slow. I had a hard time getting into the story. There was too much drama, but there was still an intrigue that made me read the book. Towards the end of the book, it was as if the action had woken up from hibernation and started racing wildly to get its work done before the last full stop. I didn't like this imbalance in the narrative. I think the book would be suitable for reading on the beach when you just want to relax and not delve into the story.

I had fond memories of this book, But I read it well over 15 years ago and it really didn't hold up. Firstly, the attitude of each of the MCs was completely offputting. They were all pretty insufferable in their own ways. There were also far too many other POV characters. Three was pushing it, as soon as the author started adding more, I was completely bored. I also found the pacing incredibly slow. It takes almost a hundred pages for The Movie to even get started really, and I just didn't care at that point. I remember thinking this was a great romance when I first read it, but it really isn't at all. Yes, there are HEAs but this is definitely more of a chick lit book. All up, I'm unhauling this one now.

This is probably one of my favourite books of all time. Definitely my favourite Louise Bagshawe book. Beautiful characters who all have different backgrounds and personalities. Beautiful romance plots. Easy to read, perfect for a weekend read in front of a fire or a relaxing read by the pool. Just love everything about this book.

An enjoyable read. It's not "War And Peace" (not that I've ever read that one, but you know what I mean ;-) ), but neither is it supposed to be. It was fascinating to read all that goes on behind the scenes of a movie set. I don't know just how true to life it is, but it seems believable to me. A quick read and a good escape from reality.

I decided to read this book because I quite liked Louise's book Glitz. I didn't enjoy this book much. The storyline was pretty dull to me, but that my be because I'm used to young adult fantasy that has a lot going on in the plot. Another reaso I didn't like this book was because of the sexual content.

Absolutely adored this book! It took a couple of chapters to get into it but by chapter 5 I was hooked. Couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end. Really good twists in this book that I didn’t see coming for once which made it even better. Looking to now read most of Louise Bagshawe’s books as this was incredible

Very good book. Page turner from beginning to end. This is the second book I have read from Ms. Bagshawe. She captures your attention from the first page to the last.
