His eyes were black when he bit into her neck. Belle doesn’t remember much from last night, but she remembers that. Before the pain and pleasure had pulsed through her, overpowering her, he had looked at her with eyes that weren’t even human. The next thing she knows, she’s waking up in his bed. His massive, muscular arms wrapped around her, his hot breath ghosting over the throbbing bite mark he left on her throat. Against all reason, she wants him to seal his lips over his mark again, to lick and suck and bite. She wants his hands to wander, his low voice to whisper filthy promises in her ear before he follows through. But that’s insane. Sure, he’s any woman’s wet dream, but he’s also a complete stranger. The only thing she knows about him is how he introduced himself. Alpha Grayson. But was Alpha a title or a name? And why did he keep calling her his mate?
Best way I can describe this is a cringy werewolf soap opera but I couldn’t stop reading it. I needed to know what happened next. Interesting enough to get me through books one and two. It hooked me on a Facebook ad over a year and a half ago but refused to use apps like Galatea because you’ll end of spending a ridiculous amount of money to read just one book. Then I saw the series was a printed set on TikTok and I impulsively bought it as soon as I could. Unfortunately I got very bored at where the plot went, loved the beginning of book one but the spice fizzled out and never ignited until well into book 2. Very rough storyline and very repetitive. Book 2 was much better and I enjoyed it immensely more than book 1. Honestly not sure if I’ll read the third and fourth books but they’re on my shelf.
The covers of the books are absolutely gorgeous and that is the ONLY good thing I can say about these books! The series started as just 5 chapters and a dare. The first book really feels like a couple different stories cobbled together. We go from a contemporary romance feel with werewolves to a supernatural fantasy feel. The characters are very flat and two dimensional. There really isn't that much that is unexpected or surprising. There is a lot of treading water in the second book where the story just kind of stalls out. All of the books could do with a really good edit, especially for continuity! Characters are standing and then standing up again. They don't have a phone and then they are thinking about using their phone and then they don't have a phone again. It is just a lot of the same annoying little things over and over again. Sorry, can't recommend this series at all.
I usually finish a series no matter what, but this one has been tough to get through. Spoilers ahead: The main character cries constantly—it feels like every other page she's breaking down. Whole chapters go by without much happening except her crying, and then out of nowhere, the plot suddenly moves forward really fast—only to slow back down again. The overall idea behind the story is good, but I wish the main character had more personality beyond being sad all the time. It also could’ve used more background/world building.
Well Annie said in her Thank You Note, she didn’t want to write a cliche Werewolf book. This works. The airplane scene was cute, up until the end of flight. Yeah not flying that airline again, haha. Like the twist when they got back to the pack, made me mad at first but once you shifted to POV Kyle and Grayson, it all worked out.
I am utterly appalled that young girls are led to believe that it is romantic and desirable for a man to oppress, patronise and manipulate them. I read the whole series because my niece is so enthralled and now believes it would be desirable to find such love. Apart from that, the books are not really well written: The protagonists lack depth, the interactions are contrived to the point of being ridiculously surreal, the plot is superficial and sometimes contradictory, and there are a lot of copy-paste lines. And in terms of content, I was really annoyed more than once. This brainwashing crap turns my stomach! I originally thought it was the debut work of a very young (and misguided) author - but I was very wrong. For an older woman to sell such irresponsible rubbish to young girls is completely out of order!!!
I totally understand the (teenage) desire or longing for the great ultimate love.... But please, please, if your boyfriend/husband is physically abusing you or mentally putting you down and constantly belittling you, there is no excuse, really no excuse at all. Please get help, because rest assured, you deserve 100% better than this to be happy.
I don’t know why I read this….or, I can’t say why I continued and read the whole thing. I guess the excuse I’ll make is that all I had was my phone and so much boredom during family gatherings for the holidays that I did anything to avoid small talk. It started out kind of funny, then got interesting for a few chapters and then became so incredibly ridiculous I can only describe it as fanfiction….but of what? Every werewolf and vampire story combined? They couldn’t pick one so they were all smushed together and that’s why the FMCs personality changed every arc and why the MMC just turned into a different version of an alpha or vampire asshole and then simp and then back again. I don’t want this to be the last thing I read for the year!!!!
Book 1 & 2 - 2⭐️ Hot take I don’t like Grayson and belle after book two their relationship is so flat their characters are flat the writing went from good to bad from good to bad constantly!
Book 3 & 4 - 4.25⭐️ I liked ace and does story it was new to be honest and quite intriguing and writing was much better than book 1 and 2 (but not great) it did drag in the end but still loved it. Was a fun time and kept me interested.

I just finished book one. I’m not sure how fast I’ll get into books 2 through four. I was expecting something different. I certainly was not expecting a werewolf, vampire, human hybrid character. The torture that Belle went through in this first novel was too much for me to see her suffer because someone was treating her poorly. I felt like the only thing that was missing was the kitchen sink.

This is the first book I have ever read online and I don't regret it a single bit. I found this book one day when I was on my phone and it popped up in an ad. Lets just say I have a new appreciation for ads like that. Anyway, this book hooked me from the start and I couldn't stop reading! I love the two characters and love the side characters as well. This book evoked a lot of emotions out of me but you know what they say only the best books can make you cry. I'm sad to be parting with this series and wish I had bought it. Overall it was a great book.
It was fine and dandy for the typical werewolf book, but it lost me when these women were basically abused and it was "okay." Just a lot of miscommunication that should have been solved within one or two chapters at best, and I hate the concept that lunas are meant to be submissive to their mate. Give me "alpha listens to no one but his luna/alpha can't ever say no to his luna" or I'm out.
So finished all 4 books. I think there were around 25 chapers very exciting the rest is pure pornography. Possessive man, underestimated but strong women, not much character development, some good but underutilized side characters, some not explained or completed story lines, some editing issue, lot of focus on sexuality. Where the story happend, was pretty good
Read on Galatea app. Timed release of episodes took forever. Story started out great but quickly rushed into a shift that didn't make sense. Ended up abandoning because I lost interest.
Can’t say I didn’t enjoy my time reading the first one but it’s about as good as you think it’s going to be(not at all). I blame tik tok for this one. Oof
Belle and Grayson get a 2-star. I found Belle to be whiny, and almost the entire book, it felt like she was crying about anything and everything. She gets worse in book two. I dnf'd it halfway through the book. I couldn't handle the constant crying and debating whether she loved Grayson or not.
HOWEVER,
Ace and Doe? 5-stars. I love them. This is what I was looking for in a werewolf book. Mystery, protection, love. He's willing to literally do whatever he can to make sure she's okay. I love their chemistry. Honestly, I read their first book within a day. I'm hopefully starting the second one soon!
Not even sure how to do this - I've finished books 1 and 2. Just started book 3 which is about a different set of mates. Book 1 is about Grayson Stoll and Bella. He meets her on a flight and knows, she's his mate! He will stop at nothing to have her, but she doesn't know he's a werewolf and the Alpha of the pack. Can you get past that to love him? Sexy and delicious. The book does not disappoint!
Beautiful cover art and an interesting concept for a story, but it was so slow. The person who described it as a werewolf soap opera is a pretty accurate review lol
