The ladies loved me. Both the ones I shoved out my hotel room door every morning and the ones I was currently flicking between my thumbs. A pair of queens. My ideal threesome.
But these gals were fickle, whereas Lady Luck was the type to never leave my side. It was the same reason the girl sitting across from me never stood a chance.
Couldn’t blame her. Not really. Pretty little thing didn’t know she was treading in shark-infested waters. Or that the only card she had left at her disposal… just so happened to be my favorite one to take. Taking wasn’t the only thing I did though. I was a giver too. Demands, degradation, dic—
Well, I think you catch my drift. Point was, the moment she decided to go all-in was the exact moment she agreed to let me do the same.
Game on, baby girl.
V Card is a dark standalone novella, so please heed the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.
Sybil is a career-driven Philadelphian native. A crime show enthusiast by day, and a BDSM club hopper by night. When she isn't working or writing, she is talking about working and writing. She is a single mom to her beta fish (Fish) and way too many dead houseplants.
Her stories range from gray to black, with darker themes throughout. She prefers heroines with a kick-ass mentality and the heroes who know how to rein them in. The mental and medical aspects of her books are well-researched, though they are given a humanistic approach and diagnoses aren't the focal points. She believes her characters don't need to wear labels in order to get her messages across.
Her books are mostly standalones, though her characters may interact and intersect worlds. Additionally, she works closely with and writes alongside author Dahlia Reign and some characters will appear in cameos in each of their publications.
COMING FROM AN ARC READER: Absolutely 100/10. I’ve always loved Sybil, her books have a special place in my heart. I personally usually gravitate towards pitch black books, but the suspenseful plot twist at the end had me SCREAMING🤪 if you’re looking for a quick read with plot to get you out of a reading slump, this will be perfect for you!
The way that Sybil personifies the MMC and FMC is ironic and iconic because it reflects modern dating and the egos that come with some of these men😂

This book gave me the ick. I don’t even know how this is classified as a dark romance. To me it’s just a nasty man who only likes to have sex with virgins which is just super creepy. It only got an extra star because the last page made me laugh. 👏
This book was downright AWESOME and I need more of this right NOW!
This was a 5 star read and everything a novella should be. Short, sweet, spicy, and straight to the point!
The inner monologue keeps you entertained and really in the mind of the main character.
The kicker ... The kicker ... The main event! Now that was the ending of this book. I know this was a novella but I feel like I am dangling by a thread because whatever happened at the end I need more of the story. I just need more.
If you are a smut girlie, this is the perfect novella for you to grab on Valentine's Day! This is a spicy, fun, fast read! I won't give any spoilers, but I love the plot twist at the end that I did not see coming!
10% plot 90 % spice Short novella ————- He is an older more distinguished man … who just so happens to only want to have V’s . She puts her v card on the line as part of a poker game . He wins … they spend time together just to find out later that it’s all a LIE !!!!
This steamy little novella completely blew me away. When an author can write so well with so little words you know it’s going to be a great read.
The plot was fantastic and clever which is so hard to pull off with novellas but Sybil manages it perfectly. And the spice?? Oh my Mr Bettencourt 🥵 cocky? Yes. Hot AF? Double yes.
The twist at the end had me gigglingi and rooting for Rosalind though! If you need a steaming pallet cleanser? This is the one!
Quick read so you will be able to SMASH it in no time.
This wasn’t at all what I thought it would be and was so incredibly better than I expected. The plot twist I did not see coming and was above all my favorite thing about this book.
Tropes~ one-night stand virgin billionaire age-gap dark romance (more light gray than pitch black)
Triggers~ overall sexually explicit content age-gap (both adults) virgin trope CNC/Dubcon imbalance of power gambling addiction tobacco use coercion
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was such a fun, short read from the authors note to the last sentence. Plenty of smut and a good plot. Wasn't expecting the ending and I kinda fell in love with Rosalind. Left me wanting MORE! Highly recommended if you're looking for something fast paced, packed with smut that has an actual plot (I know.. That's rare). Loved it!
This short read definitely kept my interest and I loved the twist at the end. I also loved the FMC especially, who seemed so docile until we got her POV. Amazing writing!!!
V-Card is sharp, fast-paced, and deliciously wicked. Sybil Knight delivers a perfectly sized novella with tight pacing, dark energy, and a twist that packs a punch. A quick read that lingers longer than expected.
Super quick meh read. A man has a virgin kink, and is playing poker when he takes a woman up on an offer of her virginity if he wins against her. Of course he wins, and brings her back to his room to fuck her mouth/vag/ass. While the scenes are sort of hot, there is too much of his inner monologue talking about how all the girls want him and how he fucks them then kicks them out. Considering this book is only 125 pages, it felt like an unnecessary waste of precious page space 🤷🏻♀️. After he is finished with her he goes into the washroom and calls the front desk of their casino hotel room to have security escort the woman out of his bed. The front desk person informs the man that the woman fakes her virginity and is actually a thief. The man runs back to his room to find her and his wallet gone. The last chapter is her point of view where she is at another poker game looking for another target. The man shows up and they talk.
Question: - He talks about loving the red stains on white sheets but when he first fucks her he doesn’t mention noticing any blood. I know some women can break their hymen other ways but wouldn’t this be a warning sign regardless? Also, wouldn’t he be able to feel if there was no hymen in tact considering how familiar he was with fucking virgins?

The writing was incredible; I really ended up hating and liking Malcolm, even though he was an egotistical, pompous jerk. His inner dialog was getting on my nerves, but it worked with how I perceived his character. It seemed very clinical how he was "working" with and how he collected V cards. Rose had me going, that's all I'll say about that. This book is not a romance, in my opinion, just a short story about taking and collecting V cards with a twist. I would recommend it as a quick pallet cleanser. Truly, the writing is great, and I can't wait to check out more of Sybil Knights's books.
I absolutely loved this book. The twist on this was so good, I literally said oh hell yeah she did that. A quick read 90% smut which I'm all for 100%. I would definitely go for a second read. Oh and I wouldn't mind a spin off, just saying..
I give this book 4.5 ⭐️s. So I just rounded up to 5 ⭐️s. I love spicy novellas. So if you’re looking for a short and spicy read to get you out the slumps then this book is for you. I plan on reading more from this author.
I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with this book but I loved it! It’s dirty, it’s fast and I couldn’t put it down. I love this author and she never disappoints. I you are looking for a book with high steam, great story and that packs a twist, grab this one!
Yorumları okuyunca iyi bi novella sanmıştım. Çok gereksiz çıktı. Yani sonundaki twisti sevdim. Açıkçası bu konuyu çok güzel yazabilirmiş ama neyse kısa bi kitaptı hemen bitti neyseki. Yine de zaman kaybıydı.
65 pages for what? He is an old guy that fucks virgins…it’s not even that spicy…just a blow job, anal and then he fucks her vagina… nothing over the top. No real plot. The twist at the end wasn’t even that exciting.
Was a good way to kill a hour I guess

Wow! This story was short, but amazing! The characters were so well written! I loved it from beginning to end! Amazingly written by a very talented writer!
Girl YASSSS !!! My first Sybil book ever !!! And 1 - hell yea to all the damn smut !!! 2 - um yes to the damn PLOT !!! You tell them girl !! As the youngins of today say - SLAY !!!! Loved it !!
A short spicy novella with a twist I didn’t expect at the end. Using this for the V in my ABC challenge this year and it’s a decent novella, less than 100 pages and more smut than plot which is expected in my opinion since it is only like 64 pages
