I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is the first one I have read by this author and I have to say it will be the first of many. It was steamy enough without distracting from the main story and I could clearly picture what Iain looked like from the description of him. I wasn’t sure if the story was going to be gripping enough at first, but it didn’t disappoint.
I enjoyed how Lady Claire was a force to be reckoned with and how much Iain underestimated her from the start, but he still kept on underestimating her at every turn expecting her to crumble.
Did she give in to her desires or did she stay strong ?? To find out you will have to read this yourself…..

What a delightful story! I absolutely adored Sarah, an introvert who detested ton activities and wanted nothing more than to be a poet. It was refreshing to see her become more emboldened in her desires. Montague is a young “old grumpy duke” who is so disgusted with what life has given him, he can’t enjoy the his life! To see Sarah change his heart and Montague change her shyness is such a delightful thing to read! I was a bit confused about Mom’s sudden change of heart, but I guess every woman can change her mind! This was a very original storyline and can’t wait for the next book!

I received this ARC copy for free and these are my own opinions.

I've read several books by this author and this one was my favorite by far. This is a fairly light-hearted grumpy/sunshine romance. Originally meeting by accident, Montague ends up giving Sarah fencing lessons. Both of them became better versions of themselves due to their acquaintanceship. Sarah gained self-confidence and Montague became more easy-going. The couple was constantly engaged in witty conversation and the sparks were flying. This book was a pleasure to read.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

This is a story of two very intelligent and very lonely people who have thrown their lives totally into their "careers". When their lives cross paths over an interest in a tract of land she owns and he wants, the sparks fly. But neither is looking for a relationship, commitment, love.
They go back and forth. Each trying to out think and out maneuver the other. But in the end they actually need each other.
I'm not sure I actually liked either of these characters. The book was good but not great.

I want to thank Netgalley for the opportunity to review this y.

He wants her property and her...

Lady Clare is a widow who is mistaken as a housemaid when Sir Iain barges into her world. He is instantly attarcted to her, moreover, he wants her property. Bad, So, he'll take them both.
I liked Lady Clare, but Iain was much harder to like. He was from the streets and reinvented himself. But he did grow on me as the book progressed. Business and steamy times.

This was an incredibly boring book. Too much time and too many words spent on stock character’s names and titles, where everyone is standing during a meeting, absolutely no chemistry between the characters and too many silly side stories. It was a pain to read and felt like the author put very little care into writing.

Another childhood favorite which helps children overcome potential doctors/hospital care. So much has changed in the medical world since its publication, but still a good book. (Didn't know until I read this to my own kids recently that it was originally published in Switzerland under the title Elizabeth Wird Gesund).

Elizabeth develops appendicitis and has to go into the hospital. The book describes what happens on a hospital visit. Made to diminish the fear of hospitals. Well done. Pictures cute and in color.
