Fate has twisted my path, leaving me with a billionaire empire I never asked for, a hybrid wolf at my side, and a ring that clings to my soul like a curse.
I only wanted my father’s love, yet here I stand with his compass, chasing a ghost drowned by ancient obsessions.
Kane Sterling, a mercenary leading me on this accursed voyage. But, I sense a lethal secret coiled beneath his skin.
When the storm hits, I’m flung into dark waters, stranding us on a cruel island.
His strong presence shields me from every lurking threat, but his gentle embrace draws me in as he unveils his secrets.
In a single, heated moment, I let him in deeper than I ever intended. His touch ignites a longing as fierce as the storm, claiming me as his own.
The ring claims me as Kane does, binding our fates. But, a cabal hunts me to claim its power, and Kane might be my only hope from a fate darker than any storm.
This book had a great story plot, very well written, and it made my OCD very happy I don't remember finding any typos anywhere. It's full of action, romance, and wars. Lots of emotions hit you as well. It's an amazing book. If you like paranormal reads then you must give this one a try. I highly recommend it.
Sierra's path has been left twisting in the wind by fate. Now, she's left with this empire worth billion's that she never asked for and never really wanted. She has this hybrid wolf by her side that she's not sure about. She doesn't know where their loyalties lie and what they really want from her or with her. And there is a ring on her finger that hangs heavy on her hand, clinging to her, weighing her down like a stone, making her feel like a curse hangs around her neck.
Sierra only ever wanted her father's love. She never asked for his money for this power that he's left her. She never asked for this hybrid that never left her side or this cursed ring that hangs heavy on her hand. Instead of his love, she's stuck here, with this compass, chasing his ghost, drowned by the ancient obsession of trying to find everything that she's been missing in her life. Wishing that she could tell her father just how much she loves him and how she could just.....
Kane Sterling, a mercenary, cold and hard, for some reason, he's agreed to lead me on this voyage. I really don't know why he agreed, but I am glad he agreed. I do sense a lethal that's coiled beneath his skin. Just waiting to break free.
It's only when a storm hits our boat and Sierra is flung from the boat and into the dark murky waters with Kane that ends up leaving then stranded on a cruel island after the storm that things really change for both of them.
Kane and his presence protects and shields Sierra from everything that threatens to hurt and kill Sierra. But, things really start to change and heat up when she finds herself in his embrace, and he freely unveils his secrets.
It's just in one single moment of time that Sierra lets Kane in deeper than she has ever let another person in. In fact, it's deeper than she has ever let another person ever. And his touch ignites the longing in her that's as fierce as the storm, and in that moment, he claims her as his own.
And as Kane claims Sierra as his own, so does the ring, forever binding all their fates together. But, the cabal hunts her, wanting to claim the power she holds in her hands and Kane could be the only person strong enough to stand with Sierra, by her side to help save them both from a fate darker than any storm he's ever faced before.
This book has a little bit of everything in it. You have furies, a werewolf, a Djinn, demons who want to be set free to destroy the world, a Phoenix.
I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. The action was packed into it, and I was often on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't put it down often times. This book is addictive and emotional of life and death.
I was really surprised with the adventure and the speckle of shifter romance. I loved how this had a little bit of everything in it. The spice, banter, adventure, magic, humor, and the touch of sadness, there was enemies to lovers, fated mates, and it was told from a dual POV, there were wolves, fae, humans, a djinn, a phoenix (bring it on) and even a cult.
The interactions between the MMC and the FMC was perfect, and the banter was on par. For a long time there was a lot of denial about how our two MCs felt about each other but you could tell all the signs were they with how protective he was and the chemistry was off the charts.
Sierra is an heiress and she is on a mission. Her father went on a trip/adventure and never came back. Now she has his compass and is using it to find a man who helped her dad. She finds him and hires him. There is a lot of animosity between them. He thinks of her as an entitled woman. She thinks of him as a mercenary, which he is. Kane is half wolf and half fury. He takes on the job the irritating woman wants to hire him for. They head out in his small boat. Eventually they need to ear. While she's resting he dives into the ocean. Just as they finish eating and playing a round of I dare you a storm hits them. She's tossed overboard. He goes over and shifts into his wolf form. He rescues her and gets them to an land mass and a cave he sees. She comes awake as he lights a fire. That is when he explains what he is. NOw they need to work together to survive. They explore the island and discover a tomb and enter. He feels an entity in the cavern and she finds a ring. She also discovers her dad who is now a statue. Then they are attacked by a phoenix. It picks up Kane and takes him. He manages to get loose when his fury side comes out and finds Sierra again. When they come together he bites her and in that moment bounds them. She is not too happy. She sees the ring and puts it on and a Djinn materializes. He tells her he's bound to her and must grant her three wishes. Her first wish is to get out of the cavern. Then she discovers they aren't in Atlantis. They find themselves taken by furies who want Kane as well as the ring, the ring of Solomon, that she wears. They manage to escape from them and are heading to where the compass points them. There they find knights who are going to protect her until they are attacked. She, Kane and the Djinn leave and head to attack the furies. Will they get out of this fight alive? Will Kane finally see himself the way she sees him? A story full of adventure and a strong woman who knows how to weld her power and strength.

Sierra Montgomery has only a dog-eared business card with a name and phone number on it. It’s the only lead she has to find this stranger, Kane Sterling, a mercenary who might be willing to lead her on a search for her father who had disappeared six months ago. Her father had left her a compass which has so far led her straight here to Florida. A cab transports her to a dock and she is immediately aware the man leaning against a battered boat must be Kane. He was the one who had transported her father “somewhere” and left him there. Now she wants him to take her there as well to find out if he is still alive. She agrees that he can keep any treasure they find if he will take her to where he had left her father. When they get stranded on an island together, Kane becomes her protector. He had told her he was half wolf shifter and half powerful Fury. But can he protect her from the cabal that is hunting her down to access the ring her father left her so they can take its power for themselves? Will they find a way to survive? Will they ever be able to leave the island?
Best paranormal romance ever. It was action packed and I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. It was addictive and emotional of life and death. Sierra was an heiress and she was on a mission. Her father went on a trip/adventure and never came back. She was so scared and she was out of her mind with worries. And now she has his compass and is using it to find a man who helped her dad. Zane meet Sierra it was love at first sight and a spark had ignited something in their soul. They couldn’t fight temptation anymore of longer with madness. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t regret reading or be disappointed. Sierra is determined to find her father who has gone missing. Hiring Kane to help seems like a bad idea but following a storm he becomes her protector. Half wolf and half Fury Kane was abandoned as a baby but the reason why comes to light when they find her father and the Ring of Solomon. With a Cabal and a band of Furies after them, their fate is to die while helping to bring Typhon back to power, but fate can be changed with the right help and with a Djinn at their side, anything can happen, especially when you include a mate bond. Full of action, drama, suspense and twists and turns, this magical book has everything you need to keep turning the pages.
I was given Fate and Love’s Curse by Sophia Young as a ARC for a honest review.
This is the first novel that I have read within this genre/trope so I made sure to go in with a open mind. While there were several typos, I did enjoy the story line and character development that Sophia Young provided throughout the novel.
Kane and Sierra are the most unlikely love interests because of their backgrounds and that is what makes them so intriguing. As the story progresses so does their character development both individually and as a couple. I found myself unable to put the story down and honestly wish it was a bit longer as I feel there was so much more left to give.
This book has a little bit of everything in it. You have furies who are godlike, and one is a werewolf, you have a Djinn who is basically a genie, you have demons who want to be set free to destroy the world, you also have a Phoenix who portects the ring of Solomon which has the power to set the demon free. When they get to the mythical Atlantis, there is where the heroes will either prevail or will die, and the world will be destroyed. If you would like to know what happens then you will have to read the book.
Pleasantly surprised with the adventure aspect of this shifter romance. This had a little bit of everything, spice, banter, adventure, magic, humor, and a little sadness. Enemies to lovers, fated mates, dual POV.
Wolves, Fae, Humans, a Djinn, a Phoenix and a cult.
Enjoyed the interaction between the MMC and the FMC. Neither wanted to admit to their feelings but there were signs as he was very protective of her.
One of my new fave authors.

Sierra Montgomery is on a mission, she has to find her treasure hunting father. This ‘captain’ is just some nobody that took his money, took somewhere and left him, hopefully alive. Kane Sterling sees Sierra as a spoiled princess who is clueless about anything. They reluctantly agree to work together to get what they want, her – her father, him – whatever treasure is to be found. Amazing book, great realistic characters, with real flaws and feelings. Absolutely worthy of the 5-star rating in giving it!
Kane is a Lone Wolf mercenary who was abandon by his mother as a child. Sierra is a billionaire heiress out looking for her father after he went missing on a mission to find artifacts. This was a fun, entertaining read, with a decent story line & enjoyable character development. There are some surprises throughout the story, & really enjoyed the Djinn! There is a plot line with a fairly sadistic cult of women who are after both Kane & Sierra. It was an action packed read with a fairly steamy spicy element. Enjoy!
A powerful tale of love, Uncertainty and perseverance. It was a creative twist in a reality for the Sierra and Kane. They were 2 fighting a battle that was supposed to never succeed, in fact they were to fail. I cried many times, but I was so excited that the ending happened as it had.
