Devil’s Muse has that electric rockstar energy, the kind that spirals into something deeper before the characters even realize what’s happening. The chemistry is instant, messy in the best way, and full of that backstage heat Windsor writes so well.
What I really liked is how she balances the fantasy of falling for a rock god with the very real emotions underneath. Luc is the perfect mix of chaotic and irresistible, and with Lily, they just… spark. The tension, the tenderness, the slow slide from hookup to something that actually matters hits in all the right places.

When Love Refuses to Stay Buried
I just finished Devil's Muse and I'm still thinking about Lucifer and Lilith days later. This book gutted me in the best way possible.

Luc lives for the stage the lights, the fans, the music that drowns out the woman he lost. When Devil's Halo hits the road for their biggest tour yet, the last thing he expects is for her to walk back into his life. And Lilith? She's spent years rebuilding herself in the quiet shadows, protecting the little life she's vowed to keep safe. But one touch, one look, and the past ignites like gasoline.

What I loved most about this book is that it's not just about second chances, it's about whether two people can survive loving each other when one belongs to the world. Lilith has fought so hard for her fragile peace, and watching her risk it all for a man who lives under spotlights and screaming fans? That tension is everything.

Michelle Windsor doesn't give us an easy love story. She gives us:

A brooding frontman haunted by the woman he couldn't forget
A single-mom heroine who's stronger than she knows
Tour bus confessions and stolen moments that feel achingly real
Old wounds that bleed into every kiss, every touch
A love that refuses to stay buried no matter how hard they try
The moment that destroyed me: When Luc realises that loving Lilith means choosing between the music that saved him and the woman who could break him all over again. That scene where he has to decide if the rhythm they create together is worth the heartbreak that comes with the encore? I was sobbing.

This is rockstar romance with so much heart. The steam is there, yes, but it's the emotional vulnerability that makes this book unforgettable. Luc isn't just a rock god, he's a man grappling with fame, loss, and what it means to truly let someone in. And Lilith isn't just running from her past—she's protecting a future that could shatter if she makes the wrong choice.

What makes this special:

The tour setting adds such a rich, gritty atmosphere
Single-mom representation done right (Lilith's protective instincts felt so real)
The balance of passion and pain is a chef's kiss
Stand-alone with an HEA, so no cliffhangers!
First in the Devil's Halo series, I need the rest of the band's stories NOW
If you love wounded heroes who need to be saved by love, heroines with everything to lose, rockstar romance that doesn't shy away from the hard stuff, and second chances that feel earned, Devil's Muse belongs on your TBR immediately.

Michelle Windsor writes steamy contemporary romance with alpha males and even stronger females, and she delivers that promise with this book. The emotion, the heat, the stakes, all of it landed perfectly.

This series is going to be massive. Devil's Halo deserves all the hype, and I cannot WAIT to see what Michelle does next with this world.

Phenomenal.  This book and the characters were everything Ive been wanting. I love Rockstar romance. Its been a while since Ive read one that didn't feel like all the others. The min I started reading Devils Muse I didn't want to stop. The story felt like I was right there living it with them. Luc!!! Swoony, heart throb rocker we all wanted hanging on our bedroom wall. Lily, the girl we all wanted to be. Amazing read. Im so ready for the next book in the series. I love this world that was created.

Eeep! I loved Devil’s Muse! I could not put it down. But when I had to, it was on my mind and I couldn’t get back to it quick enough! Devil’s Muse is not your typical rocker romance. No cheating or ow drama! Yay! I loved the chemistry between Lily and Luc. You could literally feel it right from the start! The spice with plot was really on point! I love a good spicy romance but it must have a plot and oh yes did Michelle deliver! This one is a must read y’all!

"And, all of this change happened just over a week ago"

It starts off like a fever dream. You have to suspend reality and just float through the fantasy. Lily and Luc are thrust together at a party, only starting a catalyst for what boasts to be an epic lovestory (Lucifer and Lilith folklore for emphasis). And their night and day feel almost unreal like you're just witnessing someone's fantasy rather than a detailed story. However, much like their chemistry and the descriptions, it is all consuming. Luc drinks her in like he is breathing for the first time and it is hard to really gauge Lily's thoughts because she started indifferent but allows all of this to happen to her. And you see what is going to happen long before it happens.

The book very much is separated into 2 parts. I like the beginning part better than the second because, while the second part is a little more ground in reality, it's more level headed. But still not fully rational. The characters are able to simmer and process what is happening rather than fueled by hormones and emotion.

This book is so well written. The characters literally seem to flow and float. Their emotions and touches purely descriptive artwork. "The kind of look that fills my lungs and steals my breath at the same time" I am hooked on this books (and future series), so it is definitely in my rockstar reads list!

Devil’s Muse surprised me in the best way. While it has all the elements you expect from a rockstar romance, the story leans much more into emotion and connection than over-the-top drama. The chemistry between Luc and Lily is immediate and intense, but it never feels shallow. Their relationship develops in a way that feels honest, with real obstacles and real choices shaping the story instead of manufactured angst.

I especially appreciated how balanced this book felt. The spice enhances the romance without taking over, and the emotional moments give the story depth. Luc’s struggle between his music and the people he loves adds weight, while Lily brings strength and heart that grounds the entire story. It’s a fast, engaging read that stands out in the genre and left me genuinely excited to see where this series goes next.

Thank you to Michelle Windsor and Meg from Literary inspired for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"There isn’t a world I want to be in if I can’t have you. Even if it destroys me.”

"You may not remember us, but I do, and I’ll wait for you to want me with your heart, not just your body.”

This was my first book by this author and this rockstar romance was AMAZING! Lily and Luc's chemistry was undeniable and I was swooning so bad. The tension, the tenderness.. ugh 😍 Then I gasped. Because WTH. 😭🤯

This was phenomenal. It was everything I wanted and hit all the spots. I laughed, smiled, eyes tried to leak, was taken by surprise on some parts. Filled with emotion, connection, and vulnerability. it was intense and heartbreaking (at some parts). Phenomenal.

Perfect balance of plot and spice. I couldn't put this one down. I can't wait for the next one ♥️ this series is going to be fantastic.

A accidental meeting turns Lily & Luc world upside down. The fireworks explode between them on the pages as two people that instantly make each other's days better in the sheets & off the sheets. I was instantly invested in their combustible whirlwind of a romance. A unforseen circumstance bring all the passion & sizzle to a stand still . Life gives both a second chance at finding one another again. Sometimes the heart wants love before the brain can catch-up. They both had to give & take. Well worth the read if you love Rockstar's finding love & happiness.

Devil’s Muse was such a good book. The chemistry between them is tangible from the moment they meet—the kind that hits before either of them even realizes it’s happening. Every interaction feels charged, pulling you deeper into their connection. The vibes are intoxicating, with a slow-burn tension that simmers beneath the surface. With instant chemistry, a muse–creator dynamic, this story delivers an irresistible pull that’s impossible to ignore. 10/10 recommend & cannot wait for book 2.

This book doesn’t hit you with the usual drama, angst or third act break-up. It’s real, beautiful and sweet. I loved the MMC’s passion for the FMC, and I am looking forward to reading more of that passion-filled writing with the push-pull romance developing between some of our supporting characters.

Wow! Where to start. This was one of the best books I have read ever. Can we say infinity star read. The FMC is amazing and MMC is worth everything. I laughed and cried and was broken and put back together. I could have had another 1000 pages of this story. Thank you Michelle for giving me the opportunity to read your masterpiece. I am in awe.

Michelle Windsor you did it again. You gave your readers exactly what they have always wanted: a troubled rockstar who is living his dream but not really living, a heroine that you cannot help but fall in love with her snark and that storyline - ugh - so heartbreakingly honest!! Love can happen in a moment and it can be taken away just as quickly. Luc and Lily will be a duo I will not soon forget and I cannot wait for more in the series. I can already tell it is going to be filled with love, angst, turmoil and in the end happiness. Bravo Michelle Windsor!!
