USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Pulkinen has always been fascinated with things that go bump in the night. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with her passion for writing and her love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal romance author seems like the only logical career choice.
Before she decided to turn her love of the written word into a career, Carrie spent the first part of her professional life as a high school journalism and yearbook teacher. She loves red wine and chocolate, and in her free time, she likes to read, take pictures, and spend time with her family.
Destiny Monroe is an earth bound angel. She's been called to the head of Divine Grace,Inc. She is suppose to perform a miracle, office sanctioned, every 100 years. It's been 102 yrs. She's being brought back and sent to the repository. She begs her boss, Gabriela to let her stay..after a little bit of time she's told she has three weeks to perform a miracle. Pete Hasen is a rabbit shifter and an immortal fae oh and he's the Easter Bunny. Destiny is told that she won't be reassigned what will happen if she doesn't perform a miracle is she'll lose her wings, her halo, her magic, and her immortality. She will in essence become human and die. Meanwhile Pete is getting prepared for Easter. He was given his position by the goddess Eostre. She lets him run the business end but he keeps a loose ship. Otherwise there would be mutiny. Eostre appears to remind him to be on time or he will revert back to a robin and lose his immortality. Then she lets him know that Frigg did a prophecy when they were in a restaurant when in New Orleans. As she finishes telling him the prophecy, one of the elfin returns telling him that there are no eggs. And hens have died. They go to the hen house check the dead hens. They have no blood. The only thing that could do that is a vampire. It's his job to find what did this. His life is on the line. He knows someone in the human realm who hopefully can help. Destiny is talking to a vampire friend Jane who's waiting for a friend. She's tasting a new treat made with human donated blood. YUM! Then the easter bunny walks in and HARK, the herald angels! YUM!While Destiny tries to change Pete is talking with Gaston, a vampire baker. He's eating angel food cake. Then his brain goes foggy and he doesn't remember why he's there or how he got wherever he is. When Destiny walks in and sees what is in front of him she gets a tad hyper. The angel food cake was for a demon and now this is what happened? Pete gets so tired of all these people saying things that are strange and dangerous. So he shifts and flees. Now Destiny has to find him and hope for a miracle As bad as it is for Pete this can be salvation for Destiny. She needs to make a miracle happen. Will she make it in time...two weeks!! She is so screwed!! The cutest story I've read in a while. Has just everything in it---angels, demons, vampires, Godessess, and lots of animals.

Destiny Monroe is an earthbound angel with a problem. She has three weeks to perform a miracle yet it takes months of cutting through red tape to get one approved. She soon falls for rabbit shifter, Pete Hasen, who's also an immortal fae so Destiny doesn't want to lose her wings. Then Pete, who happens to be the Easter Bunny, loses his memory and it may be Destiny's fault. So now Destiny needs a miracle to help Pete and save Easter.
Carrie Pulkinen is one of my favorite authors and this book's a prime example of why. The New Orleans Nocturnes series is an excellent one and I was thrilled that Carrie decided to add to it. The book is well-written and the characters are absolutely wonderful. I was drawn into this captivating story and kept completely hooked from beginning to end. This delightful, paranormal romance is a fun read that's quirky and humorous. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet and sassy read and I highly recommend it. Each book in the series can be read on its own but by reading the books in order you get to know characters from early books who make appearances in later books. Carrie is an amazing author and storyteller who pulls you into her world and makes you believe in magic. Her books are automatic reads for me. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest, unbiased review.
Holy Shift has charm, suspense and is definitely a page turning paranormal romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing paranormal romance which I thought to be quite captivating from start to finish, entertaining and an enjoyable read. The characters are fabulously written and beautifully executed throughout the story. Holy Shift follows the adventures of Destiny and Pete. Destiny is an angel who is earthbound who falls in love with a man by the name of Pete. Pete is a rabbit shifter as well as an immortal fae. I absolutely enjoyed getting to know both Destiny and Pete as well as seeing their story unfold throughout the pages of the book. The chemistry between Destiny and Pete is breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely amazing. Holy Shift is beautifully written, well balanced and perfectly executed by Carrie Pulkinen. Carrie Pulkinen continues to prove to me what a phenomenal author she is with each book I’ve read by her thus far. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing romances from this author in the future. I would encourage other readers to checkout and give Holy Shift a read.

This is a great series and the latest release is no exception. Pete - the Easter Bunny is having trouble with a vampire who is killing his hens. The all-important hens that lay the eggs for Easter. No hens - no eggs = No Easter which will have a catastrophic outcome for the the Fae. So he goes to seek help from vampire Gaston and Jane is there to help/interfere too. But as he meets up with him in Destiny's cafe, he accidentally eats some of the cake that is destined for demons and he loses his memory. Destiny in now in serious trouble with the her Angel bosses and they take away her angelic powers. She has to help Pete find his memories before Easter and she only has 3 weeks (and no powers), to do this to avoid a war between the Angels and the Fae. Another great story with intrigue, betrayal, twists that keep you guessing and a few surprises, humour and love. We also meet up again with some of our favourite characters. But will she be able to save he day and herself? Read it and enjoy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I voluntarily leave this honest review.
The fur and feathers will fly. - An angel and the Easter Bunny make an unlikely love match, especially when he doesn't know who he is and the angels and fae are sworn enemies. One slice of cake distracts Pete from his mission of figuring out who routed his henhouse. Easter's on its way and the hens are too stressed to lay their seasonal treats. Trapped in the mortal realm until he unlocks his magic, he is leery of everyone except Destiny. She alone soothes his soul, his rabbit recognizing its mate. As they work with her friends to restore his memory, enemies conspire in the shadows to take over the sacred holiday and the entire fae realm. It's a race against time to break a prophecy and maintain the balance, and Destiny is just the angel for the job, imperfect as her magical talents may be.
A fun, fast-paced tale with an eclectic cast of mythical beings that I greatly enjoyed. Not as funny as the title would suggest but a delightful experience nonetheless.

OH my God!!! The New Orleans Nocturnes are back!!! And what can I say? Another cracking adventure! This time Angel Destiny needs to perform a miracle and if she doesn't, she'll lose her wings... Well, incoming Pete, the Easter Bunny and he's on a mission to save Easter itself, asking Gaston for advice... Hmh, wise idea? What happens next is hilarious, funny, exciting, nerve wrecking to say the least. If you read any of Carrie Pulkinen's books, especially any of this series, you know that interfering, but well-meaning, friends will always come to the rescue obviously a few hick ups along the way.. But most important of all is that the Easter Bunny and the cake baking angel have the hots for each other.. If it weren't for the amnesia that plagues Pete and who's at fault? Destiny, or maybe Gaston??? Holy Shift is unmissable!!!
✨️This was my first ever shifter romance and it was absolutely delightful.✨️
Destiny, an angel, needs to perform a miracle or she loses everything. What does she do? She gives the Easter Bunny aka Peter Rabbit amnesia. Poor sweet Destiny is a hot mess in the most adorable way. Holy Shift was a whole lot of fun with a hint of spice. "Here comes Peter Rabbit" definitely has a whole new meaning. 🐰🤭🤭
I am so glad I was able to listen to the audiobook because the narration was charming and I loved the accents. Makes the characters even more loveable.
I already own the first book of the New Orleans Nocturns on my Kindle. Now I am seriously dying to read License to Bite🦇 soon. Huge thank you to Carrie Pulkinen for the ARC! These thoughts are 100% mine: honest and straight from the heart.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy. This is number 8 in the New Orleans Nocturnes series, and it just keeps getting better. Destiny Monroe is an earthbound angel who needs to perform a miracle, or she can kiss her angel status goodbye. Destiny meets a rabbit shifter, Pete Hasen, and falls in love with him. Pete is not just any rabbit, he is the easter bunny. Destiny ends up giving Peter amnesia and now easter is at risk.
I loved Pete and Destiny together, they were so cute and had me laughing.
Will Destiny be able to perform her miracle and keep her wings? Will Pete get his memory back and will easter be saved?.

This was just fabulous! The narrator did a great job using different voices for the dialog. She made the funny lines hilarious. I laughed so many times.
I have not read any of the other books in the series, yet. It definitely works as a standalone. As amazing as this one was, I have every intention of reading the others. It was a breath of fresh air after some of the books I haven't been able to finish lately.
I love when alternate words are used for cursing. Like fluff the rules. No fluffing way.
There's only one open door spicy scene and it's emotional and tasteful.
I highly recommend this for everyone who loves a good fated mates story. I wish I could experience it for the first time again! It's so good!
I have read all the of the New Orleans Nocturnes series and waited for this one. But it was worth the wait.
Destiny, the local baker, has been about for a few books and I've always wanted to know more about her. So lovely and kind but I imagine the life of an angel isn't always so peachy. Especially when living on earth trying to be a guiding presence. What I didn't expect was for her to bump into the Easter Bunny and have a connection with him so intense I was eager to find out when they got together.
I loved the growth of Destiny throughout the book and how Pete showed her that there is no such thing a perfection and rules can be bent to help out towards a noble goal.
Audiobook: I was entertained by this story. I liked the quirky characters: Destiny was an angel, and Pete was not only an immortal Fae, but also the Easter Bunny, plus all the other characters which added to the story's light-hearted fun and entertainment. I enjoyed the surprising twists. I appreciated the humor. There was one steamy scene provided. I thought Hollie Jackson's narration was great, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a copy of the audiobook through Spotify. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
Gleeful Goblin Review: The first standout thing about this story was having the angels and arch angels be female such as Gabriella vs Gabriel, Michelle vs Michael. And the fact that Heaven and angels are set up like a typical office with office politics, passive aggressiveness, bosses taking credit for or outright stealing an underling's work, and brown nosing being consistently rewarded. I love a fun little wink and nod style cheekiness like that in my fiction. This story is ridiculously adorable and has more depth to it than you'd expect for how...fluffy the content is. Prepare for love, eggs, and bunny related word play that you won't be able to stop listening to. 5/5 Stars
Ofcourse I had to drop everything and read this immediately. I've loved this series up till now, and this book was no exception. I was a little sceptical at first, because I didn't quite enjoy the novella about Santa, and I was worried I would feel similarly about a book about Easter, but I guess I shouldn't have worried. The reason I didn't like the Santa book was cause I really dislike Jane. This book was great, the characters were great, the plot twist at the end was great and I didn't see it coming at all. Binged in one single sitting.
loved it !! love this series !! love Destiny and Pete.. this is their story... a fast paced rom/com drama... Destiny has just three weeks to perform a miracle but, the red tape... it takes months to get an approval...! and then, she meets Pete... the rabbit of her dreams... and a huge opps !! Pete looses his memories... and he's the Easter bunny and Easter is coming fast... come-on miracle !!! so good !! so funny !!.

He's got the right fluff. She's living on a prayer. They'll both need more bounce to the ounce if they're going to save Easter this year.
A quirky paranormal romance between an Easter bunny and an angel. He's trying to save Easter, but a case of amnesia makes things difficult. And she's trying to perform a miracle or she's not an angel anymore.
The story was funny, entertaining, had twists and bad guys, romance and it was fast paced.

Every bunny needs somebody to love. Quick paced, fun little story. Enjoyed all the characters it contained, and the small glimpse into the slightly chaotic love interests back story. It's also nice to see familiar characters from across the other books included in this one. No spoilers given. However if you haven't already read them all. Go back and start from the very beginning. They are all great.
What a fun hop down Peter Cottontail's bunny trail! This is a delightful book with an interesting twist to the Easter Bunny. It's humorous and action packed. The story flows so well, you don't even know you've come to the end. Plus the characters! Brilliant, just brilliant! There's witches, an angel (of sorts,) vampires and of course, the Easter Bunny!!! This is a MUST read. You'll be happy you did.
What a fun story. I loved the characters. Destiny is fighting to save Easter, but also needs to perform a miracle to stay on earth. Pete is interesting, I enjoyed his character. I enjoyed when he would realize his skills as he regained his memory. It was nice to get to know more about Destiny. This a fun engaging read. I highly recommend you read it. The Easter Bunny as you’ve never imagined him. New Orleans is filled with all manner of supernatural beings, and now there’s a fae bunny shifter who also happens to be the Easter Bunny. Then you add angels, demons, witches, vampires, goddesses and a golden egg laying goose and you have a chaotically fun story.

This book is part of a series. I recommend reading the whole book series, but this book was amazing fantastic world building, amazing storyline and wonderful characters that just bring the story alive. It is a definite must read and it is a page Turner because it keeps you reading to the very end and wanting more I would highly recommend this book and all the other books in the series. They were written by an amazing and talented author

This Book 8 in The New Orleans Nocturnes Book Series has an interesting paranornormal romance book, a well-constructed world, and intriguing characters. These characters have unique personalities, detailed histories and believable interactions. This story has an angel, an Easter Bunny, lost memory, a need for a miracle, twists, turns, action, humor, chemistry and love.
What a convoluted joyful mess L0L. A hunky Easter bunny with amnesia and total denial. An angel who is accident prone all the time. Fae friends and enemies. Bunny sex (wheweee). Kidnapping; rescuing; court trials- All in a very fast paced quick read. I have not read previous books in this series; but this read like a stand alone, previous not required to understand and enjoy this story.
Destiny meets Peter and automatically causes him amnesia. She's an angel that is making mistakes left and right. Peter is the Easter Bunny and has to remember who he is. Can they figure this mess out? A steamy romance. Happy Easter!
Part of the New Orleans Nocturnes series. Destiny is an angel heading towards Earth to earn her wings. She meets Pete, a rabbit shifter. Will they have a HEA? Wish there was another book coming in the series.

Cute and very amusing Easter Bunny and Angel romance. The story just made me smile the whole way through, it is quirky and just the thought that the Easter bunny is a shifter made me laugh. Good lighthearted fun read
