Found this one to be very predictable. I already knew Aiden was not dead. This one was disappointing.

AUTUMN' S LEGACY is the sixth and final installment in the entire Autumn Trent Series by Mary Stone. Ms. Stone's world and character building are superb and will draw you right into each story -- leaving you feeling like you are part of the action. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you won't know which way to go.
Autumn still mourning her loss of Aiden, but she must continue on as there's always another case to solve. SAC Mullen is still building the toxic work environment that seems to be his style.
The team is still trying to find Alta Fabbri before she can end the last of the Fabbri crime family, even if incleds killing her baby niece. Then
The Crucifier escapes and tries to entice Autumn into joining his cause to kill Alta for Aiden's death. Will Autumn get her ultimate revenge?

SA Autumn Trent has a new friend Medical Examiner Dr. Jewel Plath and has introduced her to Winter Black. When Autumn was called away on a new case Winter talked Jewel into staying to visit and eat the breakfast Autumn had ordered before she left. Winter has learned the Jewel has a gift like herself and Autumn. A special gift knowing that her job was already a hard job.
Autumn and Bree were sent by SSA Mullen to drive to o find and re-arrest The Crucifier Wagner Schull, had escaped to go after Alta Fabbri. After the arrest he then bribed them with the thought that he knew where the secret hideaways were where Alta could be hiding. Alta also had kidnapped the young mother and the baby of Alta's younger brother Kevin who was now dead.
Will The Crucifier talk Autumn into joining his cause so they could go after Alta together and kill her, for Aiden's death she caused, for his families deaths also? Or will she come to her senses and run in the opposite direction from where he is trying to lead her?

Autumn along with Winter Black have been my favorite characters Mary Stone has written, and to have Winter join Autumn in the finale of this series was the best! While Autumn is still dealing with the loss of Aiden, the BAU is turned upside down with the escape of The Crucifier and the the abduction of Marisol and her mom by Alta Fabbri. The Crucifier is on a mission to kill the last two family members of the Fabbri mobster family, Alta and Marisol. Alta is determined to leave the country with her niece, Marisol, a toddler. There are so many twists and turns in this story. One minute you are in tears, then a little comic relief, then an unexpected but wonderful event! The last few chapters keep the reader turning page after page faster than the last one with a conclusion that only Mary Stone can deliver. I wonder if a new series might be in the works with the ME Jewel and if Autumn and her team might show up in this series??

I read this as part of the ARC team. This was a great book with the mother of all twists! I actually figured it out but it was still so much fun to read. Autumn Trent is one of my favorite characters. Wen Autumn is faced with hunting down the worst of the mafia families final member, she gets the news that The Crucifer has escaped from jail. She thought she was done with that case but it has come back to life with a vengeance. She has killed two guards on his prison transport and is running free. He main goal is also to hunt down the last of the mafia family member, Alta. Should they team up? The idea is tempting but they are after different results. Than comes the big twist! What a great way to end a series. Lots of action and justice is finally served. Loved the book.

Alta Fabbi is looking for revenge, one way or another. No one can stop her. Storming a ‘safe” house, taking out two people and kidnapping another two is just the beginning. Autumn is an ultimate professional Special Agent though, even without her “special power”. She tackles the job with her usual steadfastness.
This may be the end of the Autumn Trent series, for now anyway, but I feel that we may see her pop up in some of the other series, or I hope we do!

Autumn and her friends are still dealing with the sudden death of Aiden. They are sure Alta Fabbri is responsible for that horrible crime that took Aiden away. Winter Black travels to be with Autumn and help her deal with the loss….but meanwhile a convicted felon escapes from prison….hes “The Crucifier “ and he has connections to the person they are looking for. Meanwhile they discover that Alta has taken a baby hostage, and that baby’s life could be in jeopardy. This book is fantastic and finishes off the Autumn story in a great way! You must read it.

This story IS CLASSIC MARY STONE!! The writing will keep you on the edge of your seat…filled with drama, intrigue, heart stopping action. Autumn’s Legacy is a page turner for sure. This was a perfect send off for SA Autumn Trent. This reader will certainly miss Autumn and all her colleagues.

So Sad, but a lovely ending
I have thoroughly enjoyed this Series of Autumn books, both part 1 and 2. The story lines have been thrilling and touching at times. I loved the fact that Autumn and The Winters series kept coming back to each other. I'm quite sad that both these sets of books have now almost concluded, but look forward to Mary Stone's New books. I can recommend this series of books.

What a whirlwind and mix of emotions in this novel and the whole series. The race is on to catch Alta Fabbri, as well as, the Crucifier, who is also after her. The team is trying to rally but still reeling from the loss of SSA Aidan Perish. Surprises are around every corner. A must read for sure! My absolutely favorite series!!

Wow! After Aiden was previously killed off, I kept hoping it was all a farce. Oh my…..what a way to bring him back to life! Love the happy endings for everyone, and I will truly miss the characters in these books. Great read!!!

Honestly— this is a DNF. I didn’t get very far before the absurdity got to me and I couldn’t go on. The protagonists named Autumn and Winter? And both with convenient little supernatural powers? No, just no.
