I write about the lifestyle of a Black female, which experience foster care, single-hood, marriage and divorce, all which are relatable to a wide diverse female population beyond my race. I am a first-time author hoping my life story may intrigue, inspire and enlighten readers on trials and tribulations of a black girl growing up on the Southside of Chicago in an unconventional family and marrying into a more conventional family with an extraordinary background of black “assumed” wealth. I believe Amazon can market my book to people of all races to possibly identify with the black culture, and to educating people of other cultures on the vast intricate fabric of a black family. The book is formatted in chronological order from birth to middle age and it describes several life events from tragic deaths to young adult journey and first marriage. I detail how I attempt to survive loss, develop relationships, keep secrets, protect my most vulnerable attachments and understand denial and rejection, specifically my life lessons. There are poems interjected throughout which reflect my emotions during an event. Some local and national historical events are also mention. The overall expectation for the reader is to acknowledge life events and how an individual may overcome and know not everything is personal. Below is the listed TABLE OF CONTENTS
