I loooooove a good step-by-step instruction book on writing. Of course, the more detailed it is, the more likely it is to not apply to every book, but I’m a huuuugely detailed outliner so I really liked this. The only negative is he has a whole chapter on using AI, though he does specify that AI should never replace creativity and he is not saying everyone HAS to use AI.
It was rather repetitious, and lacked something critical. sorry to put my finger on exactly what, but it wasn't when I was hoping for or expecting. It claimed to get right down on the weeds, but there was often a vagueness that it was helpful than one might hope. Handy for a quick skim or reference, but the amount of time it took to read through the thing was not as productive as I had hoped.
I just got this book to look to see if it had anything new or was useful writing fiction. It is well constructed to teach newbies and more advanced writers. It has a "chapter by chapter what goes where " in a novel section. It's a "snack" size of my favorite writing books.
So sorry I spent money on this; it should be a Kindle Unlimited book. It's basically other plotting systems puffed up into a more useable system, likely (I'm just guessing) for the author to write his own fiction.
