*Please this is part two of Lizzie’s story. Her adventure starts with A Quiet Life in Seabury - and will conclude in Living The Dream in Seabury.*
This is Seabury - where everyone knows everyone, the average tourist hasn't got a clue it even exists, and that's just how the locals like it!
Lizzie Moore is in a spin. Life in Seabury is anything but quiet - and she wouldn't have it any other way. Her new shop is buzzing with business, she's surrounded by new friends every waking hour, and she's enjoying the first stirrings of romance. Okay - more than enjoying - she's reverting to a giddy teenager at a rate of knots... and she doesn't care who knows it!
The only anchors stopping her from floating away in a loved-up cloud of late-summer bliss? Her two grown-up daughters who're still camping in her house, eating her out of house and home, and showing zero sign of clearing off back to their own lives any time soon. Lizzie wouldn't mind in the slightest if it wasn't for the double-whammy of disapproving looks every time she sneaks out for a date!
Ah well, she doesn't need their approval - even though it would be nice. It's not as though they have any say in the matter... it's not as though they can through a major spanner in the works... or is it?!
In A Spin in Seabury is part 2 of Lizzie's story, and book 11 in the Seabury series. A sweet, closed door romcom perfect for fans of Holly Martin, Polly Babbington and Heidi Swain.
Beth Rain has always wanted to be a writer and has been penning adventures for characters ever since she learned out to stare into the middle-distance and daydream.
She currently lives in the (sometimes) sunny South West, and it is a dream come true to spend her days hanging out with Bob – her trusty laptop – and scoffing crisps and chocolate while dreaming up swoony love stories for all her imaginary friends.
Join Beth in Seabury if you fancy dipping your toes in the waves, head to Little Bamton for some quintessential English village action, or take a trip down the river to Upper Bamton if standalones involving a spot of wine and wool are your thing!
Beth’s writing will always deliver on the happy-ever-afters.
I was so looking forward to returning to Seabury to catch up with Lizzie and I wasn’t disappointed. Things are not going well for Lizzie as her two daughters have moved in and are driving her mad, she loves them but she wants to get her business up and running. Great to see some favourite characters popping up and some new faces. Relatable characters, community and a lovely setting made this an enjoyable read.
I was so happy to be back in Seabury and with Lizzie too. She was such a lovely character in A quiet life and I can't wait to continue her story.
I really feel for her living with her daughters again, she's come to Seabury for a quiet life and currently that is far from what she has.
Lizzie is bombarded by her family and all she wanted was a bit of peace for a while. I get the sense that she is in termoil because she loves her girls and spending time with them but they appear to have taken over her life. They are grown up and have their own lives, but will she be honest about it or will she just let them do what they want....that's for me to know and you to find out.
There are air punch moments and funny moments in this book are fabulous.
So well written, I was absorbed into the story. I just wanted to take Lizzie’s daughters aside and “explain” a few home truths to them ! And as for her ex-husband, I just wanted to punch him on the nose !
But a lovely story as always from Seabury, I’m looking forward to seeing how Lizzie’s life pans out in the next book.
I really enjoyed this story the second book about Lizzie. I have to admit I would not have put up with her daughters attitude, but finally Lizzie told them both. I am looking forward when third part the Lizzie's story.
I loved being back in seabury and continuing Lizzies story. I felt all the things she did due to Beth's wonderful writing. Happy, excited , stressed and very cross . Then at the end proud and happy. I can't wait for part 3 .
Book 2 of the Lizzie trilogy is scheduled for a mixture of emotions - pulling on your big girl knickers is a great analogy for it. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this, seemed to take two minutes.
