One of those books that jumps in your face just when the time is right. Its a novel about energy, love and the managing thereof

This book will find you when the time is right. If you are reading this review, get the book!!! I read this book very slowly, savoring every word. I would often read a paragraph and put it down to take time to synthesize the words. It took me on a magical spiritual journey and I learned a great deal about myself.

While reading this book I found myself thinking that I had no clue whatsoever what it was trying to say. As a rule, I enjoy Chopra's writing style and his use of storylines to get his message across. The message of this story was love-love is the root of everything. Other fiction books that I've read by Chopra have been easier to follow. This one was pretty confusing and hard to follow however by the end of the book he's able to get his point across. I learned something from this book and it left me thinking which I enjoy. Over all, I would only recommend this book to those who are not easily confused and those who are interested in the metaphysical. I was pretty disappointed in this book.

This was such an insightful book that I am hanging on to it to read it again in the future. I loved how it was really a self help book in the version of a novel.

En realidad una persona que tiene un espacio enorme y muy especial en mi corazón me regaló este libro en marzo, y más tarde, en junio, esta persona falleció. Aún sigo sin creerlo, la palabra me parece irreal.
Lo empecé a leer en septiembre y tarde mucho porque no quería terminarlo rápido, pero sé que es un libro rápido de leer
y es todo un viaje, algo complicado porque sentí que al final del día no se desarrollo con su totalidad el viaje espiritual y el crecimiento personal que el protagonista tuvo, pero aún así lo que tuvo fue increíble, me llevo mucho amor se este libro, porque es lo que es. Amor, y lo es todo. Lo guardo por siempre en mi corazón, creo que si estás algo triste o perdido este libro podría ayudarte a encontrar una parte del camino, leeré más libros del autor

Un libro que puede no resultar facil de descifrar, creo que ha de llegarte en el momento justo de tu vida. Cuando lo adquirí, hace unos años, no lo terminé de leer, aunque determinados pasajes sí me produjeron sensaciones profundas y hermosas. Ahora lo he retomado y lo lei del tirón, porque parecía escrito para mi en este momento de mi vida.
El protagonista es un hombre en busca del amor, pero posiblemente el libro decepcionará a mucha gente, porque no habla sobre esa clase de amor que la mayoría busca.

This is my 2nd Deepak Chopra book and I really enjoyed it. Not only is this book filled with great philosophical lessons but the story itself is entertaining.
This book is similar to Og Mandinos works like The Greatest Salesman in the World, as well as the Celestine Prophecy. However there is a stronger focus on love in this book.
I can't say this book will change your life but it may provide different perspectives on how you see the world and yourself.
I thought it was well written, entertaining, and full of great teachings on life.

El epílogo es lo mejor del libro, en mi opinión. Pero hay que leerlo.completo para entender bien, este libro abre los ojos para asimilar lo importante que es el amor en estos tiempos.

Chopra uses a character, Jess Conover, who meets an older woman and a younger one who teach him how to move his own blocked energy and open to love.
There is no fixed formula. Look at yourself and your feelings. Negative feelings like depression, fear, anxiety, hostility must be worked on in the moment and may be helped by breathing to physical acting out to expressing emotions. Seek to have a loving relationship with yourself.
Deal with the reflections that come your way in this moment. Children should not be trained in this process but they benefit from the progress of parents and teachers. You cannot change the energy of your spouse but you can support them. Deepak Chopra points out that all religions are littered with distortions of energy, love and many abuses and inequalities, but you can choose to follow the holy words of a religion or tradition and win the freedom of your own soul! If someone sins against you, do not mistake the sinner for the sin.
Loving behavior means accepting yourself and others without judgment.
The soul does not depend on energy, nor does truth or compassion. Feeling negative energy is a part of life. Negative energy needs to be released and when it is, the flow begins and in that flow you can return to love.
If reading these suggestions is difficult, the story about Jess helps illustrate these ideas in a fantasy like novel. I believe that Dr. Chopra seeks to teach in ways that reach different learning styles.

A decir verdad, de este libro no esperaba demasiado, solo lo vi en mi casa, leí la sinopsis y pensé que tenía una trama interesante.
Lo primero que quisiera resaltar, y que, desde mi punto de vista es lo ÚNICO bueno que tiene la novela, es que se lee muy fácil. Dicho esto empiezo con todos los problemas que tiene el libro.
De primeras, la novela es una serie de incoherencias que ponerme a describir seria demasiado, pero pondré un ejemplo sin hacer demasiado spoiler. En una escena, el protagonista vuelve a su casa después de ese inexplicable y corto viaje que hiso y, como cinco minutos después aparecen las mujeres que se mencionan en la sinopsis, que según el autor son muy importantes, sin embargo, el problema no es ese, el problema es que hablan, literal, tres diálogos y las mujeres se van, eso sumado a que el autor, páginas antes nos había dicho que ir de un lugar al otro era, me refiero de la casa del protagonista hasta la casa de las mujeres, era un largo viaje. Aparte, los diálogos son en plan: Hola. Como estás. Bien. A ok. Y YA... ¡HORRIBLE!
Luego hay una supuesta trama amorosa que se queda en nada, ya que TODOS los personajes son insípidos, insufribles, y además, como ya lo he dicho, al igual que la novela, sus decisiones no tienen sentido, parece que en el mundo en el que se desarrolla la historia todos son estúpidos.
Y por último el final, que le pasa al autor... NO LO LEAN.

Jesse, un joven periodista de Boston vive una vida sin sobresaltos hasta que ve un anuncio en el diario y decide contestarlo.
A partir de allí va a conocer a dos extrañas mujeres: Dolly-una anciana- y Elena- una bella joven- que van a llevarlo a que logre percibir el mundo sutil, una especie de mundo paralelo.
De allí en màs, él deja su trabajo y empieza a recorrer la senda que Elena le indica para llegar a convertirse en un “gurú del amor”. Pero el amor, en esta concepción va mucho màs allá de lo sexual, es el amor por el cosmos, por el universo, al estilo de los maestros zen.
La novela tiene altibajos y algunos diálogos crípticos, pero en la búsqueda del camino espiritual, tiene reminiscencias de Brida de Paulo Coelho.
Se lee rápido, aunque hay que tener paciencia durante las primeras 40 páginas, donde no ocurre demasiado.

it begins giving a sense of a passionate love story, it ends up being a disguised self-improvement book.
I´m still not sure if I enjoyed this book. I read the first 100 pages in a month and the last 100 in two days I just wanted to finish it. It becomes tedious at times. It is not the kind of would pick out or even read if I knew what it was about. It has some valid points about how to view life, but those you should see for yourself, or not.

Siento que es un libro muy profundo y refrescante! Hay muchas cosas bellas y increibles en el! Me hizo reflexionar mucho! No es para todo el mundo. Tienes que estar en un humor especifico para leerlo! A mi me gusto pero no es un libro que me mantuvo leyendo. No me moria por seguir, pero me gusto mucho la historia y como el personaje principal fue cambiando mediante la hostoria!

Para llegar a la felicidad es necesario pasar experiencias que nos lleven a este punto. Necesario vivir para encontrarla, pero el final vale la pena.
No me deja del todo contenta el libro porque al desear mostrar varias caras en esta bùsqueda, se vuelve un poco confuso.

It's kinda hard for me to get straight what it means instantly..I need to re-read it again then finally got what it means..

A bit hard to follow... I picked it up thinking it was fiction, then (while reading it) finally realized it's more of a self-help type book. It was a pleasant read, it just left me feeling like I missed some critical point.
