You don’t get much back ground, just enough to know she’s been burnt before and he is attracted as hell to her!
It’s spicy and hot and yet sweet at the same time.
A bit little time filler, and obviously we all love a great fucking happy ending ❤️

This audiobook was pure temptation from start to finish. What begins as a reckless bet and a single night of indulgence quickly turns into something far more addictive—and emotionally charged—than either character expects.
Lucas is the ultimate walking red flag: cocky, confident, and fully aware of his appeal. But what makes him dangerous is how clearly he sees the FMC—especially the desires she’s never voiced out loud. Their chemistry is instant, electric, and layered with that delicious this is a bad idea but I want it anyway energy.
The spice is bold and unapologetic. The MF heat is intense, the MM scenes are seamlessly integrated, and the voyeuristic elements add an extra thrill without ever feeling overdone. Everything feels intentional, sensual, and rooted in character chemistry rather than shock value.

Another short & spicy novella to add to the list 😏💦
Lucas & Avril are in the midst of a game at the start of this book…who will give in first (whew they’re hot)?! But prior to now, they both were into eachother & Lucas is the one who got away. Now that Avril is divorced from his ex best friend, aka her ex husband, GAME ON!!
This was HOT & I have truly enjoyed all the novellas in this series.

Quick and Oh So Hot 🔥
Another spicy novella from Adele Knight in the Her Sweet Seduction series that I loved.
This is a fast paced story of two people who have skirted around their feelings for each other since first meeting.
Avril, married and now divorced has a risqué bet with Lucas, her ex-husband’s best friend.
I thoroughly enjoy Adele’s short novella’s not only do they all have a lovely ending, this one was especially fun and steamy with the characters fulfilling all their fantasies with each other.
Listening to this audiobook narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton was so much better than my reading it.
They are electric together and it was extremely hot.

So I haven't read really any kind of erotic, spicy romance books. This is technically my second, so I'm not really a pro at these kinds of reviews.
The way the book was formatted I didn't like very much, it was hard to read and be able to follow along. I also wish there was more of a plot instead of hardcore s*x because even if it is a short story I was expecting a little more.
The characters were cool, spicy, and bold, and the erotic scenes were made with a lot of interest and care- written well.
Maybe just more of a plotline.

3.5 ⭐️ This felt a lot like the first one, a fun smutty read. But it did have the epilogue / extended epilogue that made me love it more. I do think it made the MM component not necessary though especially since they end up together just the two of them. But still a fun read, enjoying this series as a fun restart between longer books / series.

The audiobook for this quick spicy read was hot! Teddy & Savannah always do incredible work.
This novella is fast paced, throwing you straight into both MCs teasing one another before ultimately giving in.
You get snippets of story scattered throughout and more right at the end but really it's all about their naughty fantasies!

This is the 3rd book I've read in this little series of novellas and they are now known as my slump busters. The books are short, spicy and to the point. I have loved everyone of them so far. This second chance romance includes some MF, MM and voyeurism and I was a puddle the entire time.

Quick read, not my favourite in the series but the first half was awesome, from about the 60% mark it starts to feel really rushed and the love confession seemingly came out of nowhere? I also am not the biggest fan of pregnancy tropes especially in epilogues so I think that affected my review too. Overall a good read but I highly recommend her “filthy enemy” book more than this one :)

Avril (h) is moving on with her life after her divorce from her cheating ex, Ben, and enters a bet with Lucas (H), Ben’s former friend and the man Avril has wanted ever since she met him. Lucas proposes a week-long abstinence bet for himself and Avril, and whomever holds out gets to have their fantasies fulfilled. Partway through the bet and things heat up between Avril and Lucas with nothing off the table, or bed, including Lucas and another man, William. But William seems to want more and Avril isn’t sure she’s ready to risk her heart again. Ultra-hot and steamy second chance quickie with MF and MM.

Well, you can’t win them all. This is the first in the series that I haven’t liked. Actually, I considered DNFing it, but it’s short enough that I didn’t see the point. It felt like it was written by someone else. Very distant, repetitive, cheesy, and unbelievable. I don’t think it’s common for men to be able to have a dozen orgasms in one night without some helpful supplements, but whatever. It’s mostly the last page before the epilogue (again) that pissed me off. Oh, and the fact that there’s two epilogues. One I was unnecessary. Two is absurd.

Now, I’m not a very big second-chance romance lover, but then again, I wasn’t a friends-to-lovers romance fan before Adele Knight either. Her Seductive Second Chance was so good; I was sucked into the story from the very first line, and I’ll definitely be rereading it in the future! Honestly, I can’t express enough how much I adored Avril and Lucas. For a novella that had so much spice in it, it also had such strong emotions running throughout; I felt the grief, the heartbreak, the fear for things that could be ending that had only just begun, and of course, I felt the desire and the love so deeply. I very much needed the epilogue and second epilogue to mend the heartbreak I was feeling for these lovable main characters, and I’m so happy to find out just how happy their lives are and just how spicy they still are. Avril is so strong and sexy, and Lucas exudes sex, but he has this gooey soft centre reserved for Avril; he’s perfect for her, and the perfect man, really. I think my rating is obvious by now, so naturally, this is a Five out of Five stars read.
This is another over-the-age of eighteen novella, and there is no need to worry about waiting too long because spice is on the cards very early on. This is a second-chance romance, with a couple that should have always been, and have pined over each other for years but not once crossed that line physically. Lucas is possessive and greedy, and his control is waning in all the best ways, but he’s also caring, giving, and wears his heart on his sleeve like a love-sick pup. Avril is recovering from heartbreak, but she’s coming back stronger than before; she knows exactly what she wants, and she’s taking it. It’s glorious to see. Seriously, this couple brings all the heat. Her Seductive Second Chance is primarily male/female, but there is a male/male scene that is witnessed by the lucky Avril. This novella holds one of my favourite lines in a spicy romance (the first line of chapter three); it makes me laugh in giddiness every time, and of course, it comes with a very happy HEA, including a lovely glimpse into their future. The Her Sweet Seduction series seems to be one favourite after another for me.

Second chance is literally one of my favorite tropes. It's my own HEA. So I went into this thinking this was going to be some sweet second chance story but guys THESE TWO get down to business right away. They waste ZERO time. These two believe in eye contact and saying things that should probably come with a warning label.
I feel like second chance romances are somewhat tender but this one is just down right FERAL! At one point I paused the book because I couldn't believe these two were shacking up so quickly. I needed time to process. I listened to this as I was shopping and kept thinking, "Um. Teddy, Savannah, cool it down. I'm around other people." They are on fire and don't stop! 🔥This is really a story about unresolved feelings between two people but make them loud, flirty & down right dirty.
Their chemistry hits so fast I barely had time to take a sip of my Dr. Pepper. Almost had a spit take at one point.
The book is only 1.5 hours so not much can really happen except these two have multiple sleepovers but NO ACTUAL sleeping occurs.

Teddy plays the feral MC and Savannah is always as sweet as pie with that little hint of erotic probing. It's a pretty short book, just like the rest of the series, and it gets to the spice pretty quickly (chapter 2 or 3?), but we still get to see some sweet moments and their relationship develop.
Also, I LOVED that Lucas was a stay-at-home dad and Avril was the one who worked full-time in the epilogue!!
Another thing that I've enjoyed in all the books thus far, this one included, is that although it is, by anyone's standards, a very short and quick-to-read book, it doesn't feel rushed, unfinished, or too much like a surface-level read.
The chemistry, angst, and spice were delicious and I ate it up, as I always do with this series.

This story of forbidden love is a short and hot version that keeps you reading! Luca and Avril have know each other for years. They were attracted to each other since day one but because she was married to his best friend they never acted or told each other. Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton narrated in duet, and I adore this duo. Their chemistry is perfect, which really helps develop the chemistry between the characters.

They say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else so she makes a bet with her ex-husband's best friend (Lucas) that she's been attracted to for so long, no sex pact (including solo) for 1 week, whoever caves first has to fulfil the others fantasies for one night. They push each other to the limit but he caved first so she won the bet. For her prize she want to watch him with another man. (he's bi and so is his friend that joins the party) I thought there might be a group scene or make it why choose since she slept with William (3rd party friend) before but nope. Lucas brings him in to furfil her fantasy then promptly kicks him out so he can have her all to himself. This is very smut heavy which was fun but morally it was iffy for me. They were into each other for her entire marriage, they didn't act on it then but it still doesn't quite sit right. I mean her husband was cheating so maybe alls fair. What do I know?

The chapter transitions have almost no flow, and more than once I caught myself checking if I'd skipped a page. The pacing jumps abruptly, which makes the story feel fragmented rather than seductive.
A recurring issue in Adele Knight’s shorts shows up again here: the secondary characters are basically cardboard cutouts. They’re props, not people - no voice, no emotions, just placeholders to move the plot.
The bet subplot had potential, but lacked depth. Avril was supposed to set the rules, yet Lucas took control from start to finish, reducing the power dynamic to something much more one-sided than intended.

To say I'm obsessed with this series is probably an understatement... I absolutely adored these spicy lil novellas and Second Chance is my favorite yet! I think... I seriously love them all, don't make me choose. 😂
Avril and Lucas were so hot right from the start. Spicy games of chicken are always a hit, especially when they are betting over who gets control of their one night together. The cab exhibitionism scene got us started, but William getting dragged to her apartment and railed by Lucas in the hottest show on earth really drove the spice level home.
And it that wasn't enough, the ending and epilogue had me swooning into a melted puddle. They were so sweet and perfect and I was so happy they got their happy ever after.
Did I mention that Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood bring this to life with DUET narration? Cause they do. And it's incredible. An hour and a half of nonstop drooling tbh. Thank you so much to Must Love Audio for the advanced copy!
